Summer nodded at Stanley.
Before Stanley left, he looked at Leonardo again with an inexplicable gaze, before turning to leave.
After Stanley left, Tim also left with the bodyguards.
By the time Summer recovered her senses, she realized that only she and Leonardo were left in the entire hall.
Leonardo leaned on the sofa and stared at her with an inexplicable expression. His dark eyes had an unfathomable glint to it, and it stared at her unblinkingly. It was extremely oppressive and overwhelming.
Summer touched her arm uncomfortably and tentatively called out to him. “Mr. Emerson.”
Leonardo held his hand out, pointed at the DNA report he had thrown before Kate earlier, and said with very little emotion, “Have a look for yourself.”
Fortunately, Kate was sitting opposite Leonardo earlier.
Summer had listened to their conversation and mostly understood what happened.
Despite that, when she saw the DNA comparison report, she was still a little surprised.
She was, in fact, Rosie’s biological mother.
Summer could not help but look at Leonardo.
She once had a baby with this man.
It was just… too unbelievable.
Leonardo saw her looking up at him and asked, “Understand now?”
Summer nodded and asked, “So that previous DNA report… was it tampered with by that Ms. Emerson earlier?”
Kate only raised his eyebrow and did not directly answer her question, which could count as a silent acknowledgment.
He looked at Summer and said in a commanding tone, “I’ll give you three days…”
As he said that, he suddenly paused. “No, I’ll give you half an hour to work out your relationship with Mr. Bates out there.”
Leonardo did not know that Summer and Stanley had already opened up to each other on their identity, and the latter had already admitted he was not Summer’s fiancé.
“What do you mean?”
Summer understood every single word individually, but she did not understand them when lumped together as a sentence.
Leonardo lifted his jaw a little, and seemed to be a little disappointed with Summer’s response, and explained impatiently, “You are Rosie’s biological mother, and she likes you very much. You will live together with us.”
While his words may be reasonable, it always gave off a condescending vibe, and it sounded quite unpleasant to Summer’s ears.
“Why must I live with you? Our husband-and-wife relationship has been severed by Ms. Emerson. We do not have any need to live together, and even if we were still in a marital relationship, with our current situation, it is not the right time for us to live together.”
Summer’s reply was beyond Leonardo’s expectations.
A wave of almost imperceptible anger appeared in his eyes, and he said very nonchalantly. “What you’ve said is very reasonable, Ms. Jarrett, and I’m sure that when you say those words, you are very aware that you may not see Rosie any more in the future.”
Summer immediately stood up and angrily said, “Leonardo!”
This man was totally unreasonable.
He would demand obedience through force.
“If Ms. Jarrett has already thought things over, you can go and deal with your relationship with Mr. Bates. If you are unable to do so, I can do it for you in view that we are husband and wife.”
As Leonardo said that, he raised his hand and looked at the time on the watch. “It is 2:29 now, and I will need your answer by 2:59.”
Summer opened her mouth, but before she could even speak, she heard Leonardo speak again. “You have no standing to talk terms with me. Letting you live with us is only because Rosie likes you. You could of course refuse.”
Leonardo’s words were very callous without any room for compromise.
Summer stood there unmoving, and Leonardo did not forget to tell her the time. “It’s 2:31 now, you still have 28 minutes.”
It was clearly coercion, but when it was from Leonardo’s mouth, it sounded almost as if it was expected.
Summer could only turn around to look for Stanley.
Stanley was smoking by the corridor outside, and when he saw Summer come over, he pressed the cigarette into one of the Bonsai pots. “What’s the matter?”
Compared with Leonardo, Stanley was much gentler to Summer.
She did not beat around the bush. “Leonardo wants me to deal with our relationship, and then move in to live with him and Rosie. I do not have the right to choose, or else he won’t let me see Rosie.”
Stanley paused for a moment and did not show much surprise. He instead just asked, “What do you think?”
“Leonardo’s character is horrible, and I really wonder why I would marry him back then!” Summer grabbed her hair and was rather frustrated.
Stanley pondered for a moment and spoke at a casual pace. “Leonardo is the type that never goes back on his word, if he means to not let you see Rosie, you will never have the chance to see her. Don’t you want to remember your past? Perhaps by living with him, you might be able to recall your past?”
Summer looked at Stanley in surprise. “Are you persuading me to agree to Leonardo’s demands?”
“You can say that.” Stanley smiled curled a little before he shook his head. “Besides, you have no other choice. Leonardo is a difficult person to figure out, and you would never give up on Rosie, so agreeing to him is your best choice.”
Summer knew that Stanley’s words made sense, but she still felt very disheartened deep down.
“He is threatening me,” Summer said before laughing at herself. “It’s not really a threat, I never had a choice, to begin with.”
She was in a coma for three years, while Leonardo took care of Rosie.
While Leonardo’s request now did have some threatening parts to it, it was not difficult to understand why.
Leonardo loved Rosie, and Summer was Rosie’s biological mother, so she had the obligation to take care and accompany Rosie.
Hearing her words, Stanley looked at her quietly before smiling and looked away. “Go in if you have figured it out.”
Summer took a deep breath and turned around.
Stanley looked at her back and the expression on his face faded away completely. His eyes were deep, and no one knew what he was thinking.

Summer returned to the hall and was surprised to see that Leonardo’s posture had not changed at all.
Leonardo looked at his watch as he noticed her coming in. “You only took twenty minutes. It seems like you are quite decisive, Ms. Jarrett.”
Summer took a deep breath, and her expression impassive. “When will I be moving to your place?”
Her tone was as distant as it could get.
Leonardo narrowed his eyes and squinted. “Now.”
Summer gritted her teeth and said, “Okay, but I need some time to go back and pack up my stuff.”
“No need.” Leonardo stood up and fixed his clothes. “Someone will prepare everything you need.”
