Chapter 42 Tell Me or I’ll Cut Your Face Open

Book:CEO's Substitute Wife Published:2024-5-1

Carl Jones rushed up from behind and saw Leonardo standing there, frozen. He looked in the same direction as Leonardo and his glasses almost dropped to the floor. “That-That… is… Summer…”
Sensing the grim air around Leonardo, Carl Jones paused and continued, “It’s not her. Let me check her out. I’m sure it’s not your wife.”
Leonardo said nothing, his face bleak. Carl Jones knew he had his consent.
He was nervous as hell because the back of the woman was so familiar. He had only met Summer a few times, but Leonardo and Summer had been seeing each other every day; Leonardo must have recognized her instantly.
Another reason for his nervousness was due to the fact that he had known Leonardo for many years. He could tell that Leonardo had taken a liking to Summer.
She was anything but pretty. However, who knew, perhaps what caught Leonardo’s heart was her inner beauty?
Carl Jones went up to the woman, turned slightly, and reached out to draw her face toward him. He took a glimpse and looked away as if he was afraid to confirm his suspicion.
No, it did not look like Summer, he realized.
He looked again and told Leonardo with great relief. “It’s not her.”
Leonardo strode up to take a look at the woman, and a sly smile crossed his face. He clutched the woman’s face and demanded, “Where is Summer?”
Surprised to see Leonardo’s cousin there, Vicky tried to push his hand away, but his grip was firm. She could not do anything about it.
Upset over the disturbance, the man beneath Vicky glared angrily at Leonardo. Just as he was about to explode, Leonardo swept his eyes over to him, and he immediately became timid like a mouse.
When he looked up and saw Carl Jones behind Leonardo, he said, “Mr. Jones, I will leave her to you.” The man dumped Vicky right away and off he went.
Tip Top Entertainment Group was the leader in the entertainment industry, and the Jones family had connections with both the cops and the underworld. No one would want to mess with him for no good reason.
Halfway through the sex act, the man took off. Feeling unfulfilled, Vicky leered at Leonardo. Her neck was still in his grip, and she stuttered as she said, “I-I’m prettier than Summer… You… should find… me instead of… her.”
Feeling disgusted, Leonardo released his hand, picked up a wineglass, broke it, and pointed the sharp edges at her face. “Tell me or I will cut your face open.”
With the sharp glass pressed against her skin, Vicky was aware that it could puncture her skin at any time. She was scared and thrilled at the same time.
She smiled, her lips arching and her voice sounding strange. “What can you do even if I tell you? She’s now in the midst of having fun with a group of men! Or do you want to join them? Have you and her had sex before?”
Even Carl Jones could not bear to hear it, let alone Leonardo. He kicked Vicky and sent her flying straight into the wall.
Pain ripped through her body, so much so that she could not even scream. Yet, there was a smile on her face.
Those men had to be violating Summer now. By tomorrow, Summer would be headlining the news. Thinking of that, Vicky’s grin grew wider.
Leonardo shot Vicky an icy glance. He did not have time for her. He had to find Summer. Making sure that Summer and Jessica were not in there, he and Carl Jones exited the party hall when Tim arrived with his men.
“Young Master, have you found your wife?” Leonardo had told him about the incident before he came.
There was an insidious look on his face when Leonardo said, “Search every room and be quick!”
Tim could not help but look grave. He knew what the Violet Gold Club was; most likely, by the time they found her, it would be too late.
He said nothing but immediately gathered his men and together with Leonardo and Carl Jones, they searched every room in the club.
The Violet Gold Club was by no means a small place. Leonardo searched the entire floor of the building but still had not found Summer yet.
After Carl Jones finished his search and returned, he saw Leonardo standing at the end of the corridor.
His back was facing the light and half of his face was in the shadows.
He had seen Leonardo acting like that before. Carl Jones went up to him and patted him on the shoulder with a grim expression. “Found them.”
Leonardo looked over at him, a hint of hope flashing in his eyes.

When Carl Jones brought him to the room, Tim’s men had sealed off the place. A few naked men were squatting on the floor.
The bed was a mess, and the smell of “passion” lingered in the room.
Leonardo appeared cold as he walked forward slowly. Sensing his menacing energy, those arrogant men stayed quiet.
Seeing that, Tim gradually approached him from behind. His voice was respectful as he whispered, “Young Master, we didn’t find your wife when we came in. They told us she escaped by jumping off the balcony. I’ve sent our men to look for her.”
Leonardo turned his eyes to the men on the ground. There was a cruel look in his eyes as if he was handing down a death sentence. One of the men on the ground trembled, walking on his knees up to Leonardo. “We didn’t touch the woman. She jumped out of the window.”
They did not touch Summer? So what was the odor in the room? Did the men have fun among themselves?
Carl Jones glanced at a small bloodstain on the bed, imagining the pain in his anus.
Just then, the men who went to search for Summer returned. “We couldn’t find Mrs. Emerson.”
It did not look like the men who were squatting on the floor were lying, especially when their lives were being threatened.
Nevertheless, Leonardo still did not discount the possibility that they were lying. Even if one of the men was begging for his life, Leonardo did not want to let them off just yet.
He walked to the window and looked down. They were on the seventh floor; anyone who jumped out of the window would end up paralyzed, if not dead.
Leonardo peered down carefully. He could make out the balconies below. “Search the rooms below!” The Emerson family disliked Summer, so she grew up in a place deprived of love. But she was passionate about life. She had a strong will, and she would make it.
Carl Jones brought his men and began to search the first floor, Tim and his men the second floor, and Leonardo, the third floor.
Leonardo’s men broke open a door and walked right in, all the way out to the balcony. A couple was making out in the bathroom when they stormed in. Hearing the noise, the man emerged and demanded, “Who are all of you? What are you doing here?”
Without saying a word, Leonardo directed his men to lock the man back in the bathroom.
The balcony was empty. There was nothing there. Just then, from the corner of his eyes, he saw something moving behind the curtain. He walked over, raising his hand halfway in the air before drawing open the curtain. Curled up in the corner was a woman in a semi-conscious state.
