Wedding planning
Leana, the Daivie seamstress took her time to make Ava the most beautiful dress that would fit her tummy. After she was done, Ava went to her quarters to try it on, and saw that the woman knew her work well.
“Thank you, Leana. This is really good!” She exclaimed at the sight of herself in the mirror. That white dress lined with beautiful pearls fit her body perfectly and didn’t even make it seem like she was pregnant.
“Thank you, madame.” Leana bowed. “I will send Keisha the rest of the ornaments for your big day tomorrow.”
After the dress fitting, Ava went down to see to the preparations that were being made. The hall decorations had already been gathered, and servants had gotten to work. Some supplies were delivered this morning for the event food, and things were running smoothly. More fast than smooth, because Rian was rushing everything, he grew impatient to the fact that he pleaded with alpha Daryl that an extra day be removed so that they would get married in two days’ time instead of three. Alpha Daryl agreed because he had special liking for her and Rian, and now she would be getting married tomorrow evening. Even with all that, Rian still felt that the extension wasn’t enough.
By the time she gets married, all the memories she felt with her mate would remain just as they are; memories, flames that were never to be rekindled again.
As she returned to her room to take a nap, she thought of the days to come, counting the minutes that went by, slow but steadily counting.

It was early in the morning when Ava’s guard, the one Lucas has placed to watch over her, passed a message to Kain through the delivery man. A message that Kain knew the master might not be pleased to hear.
“What is it, Kain?” Lucas asked upon seeing the look on his guards’ face as he entered his chambers.
“Master… there’s…”
“What? There’s what?”
“There’s something unexpected that happened sire.”
“What is it, then?” Lucas asked impatiently.
“Well, sire the delivery man returned with the gifts you sent to her. She’s found out that you’re the one who sent them and she said she will no longer be accepting it. She even refused to so much as open them.”
Of course, she’s found out, because he revealed it to her in that note. He felt the need to let her know that he’s been the one all along; to let her know that he still cared, and he was still coming for her. He shouldn’t blame her for being mad at him. Everything that happened was his fault, and the only thing he did then was blame her for it, when he ought to have been blaming himself.
“I’ve dropped off the gift basket with the servant sire,” went Kain’s words which slowly drew Lucas back to reality.
“Oh, sorry Kain… I was just thinking of something. Is there something else I should know?” Lucas could tell from his body language that Kain still had something to say.
“Yes sire, there is.”
He sighed, knowing that he wasn’t going to like whatever Kain had to say, “tell me.”
“She’s getting married sire, alpha Daryl announced that she will be joined with another wolf tomorrow.”
With the way alpha Lucas reacted, Kain had expected something more, but he got something different. Lucas remained calm, something might have been going on in his mind, but then he reserved his thoughts.
“Who is this person she is getting married to?” He asked.
“He didn’t reveal the name of the person, but from what I gathered, it’s a Daivie omega.”
Lucas remained for a while, reflecting on Kain’s words, and then instead of dismissing him, he sent him an errand, one that the guard had to carry out immediately.
“Tell Kiron to get a guard to prepare my vehicle. He’ll be coming along with me, also tell Cian that he’ll be in charge while I’m gone. He should also prepare some supplies we’ll be taking with us to the Daivie pack.”
“Yes sire.”
As the guard left, Lucas entered his closet to begin packing a small bag. It’s been long since Lucas left this terrain for any reason at all, but given the circumstances of the situation, he couldn’t wait behind any longer. It’s time he paid alpha Daryl a visit.
**********
It was evening time, and Alpha Daryl had just been informed that Lucas De’ Clan had come here with a small patrol of men and supplies for the Daivie pack. His ally didn’t arrive in an aggressive manner, thankfully, but then alpha Daryl saw this coming. He didn’t want to be the bearer of bad news to omega Rian who seemed so desperate to marry someone else’s pregnant mate without even being properly informed.
Normally, alpha Daryl would never approve such a marriage as he knew that it would only bring trouble when the news got to Lucas De’ Clan, but being the kind leader that didn’t like to force his opinion on his subjects, he just had to let things be. Now Lucas De’ Clan was here because of his decision, and now he would have to answer to him. He saw this coming, and he ought to have avoided it when he had the chance.
“Let him in,” he told his guard who bowed and went off to bring in the visitor. Shortly after, Lucas De’ Clan entered the Daivie pack hall with his escorts.
“Alpha Lucas De’ Clan, my trusty ally, such a pleasant surprise to see you here. I must admit I wasn’t expecting you.”
“Of course, you weren’t, and you already know why I am here, alpha Daryl.”
Sighs, “yes, I know.”
“So why then? Why did you approve of my mate’s marriage to someone else? Is that what allies are for?”
