Failed approach
Ray bowed, “I am more than pleased to serve you milady, whatever you ask of me now shall be done.”
“Good, now we move onto the next plan; we have to make sure that Lucas catches her cheating, I saw his reaction the last time she did it, it wasn’t good at all, now all we have to do now is make sure it’s worse this time around, he has to see it with his own eyes; the mate who claims to love him locking lips in the arms of another man. It will be just perfect seeing how much he’ll hate her after that, his anger will surely make him end her life.”
She turned to her servant. “You have a very special assignment Ray Devlin, Ava Maynard was once your lover, and you have to take advantage of that; you have to woo her, seduce her, charm her, do anything that will make her fall for you, enough for her to want to kiss you, or even better, make love to you, and then, all I have to do is to make sure that Lucas catches her in the act; she’ll be dead after that for sure.”
Ray then repeated his statement, “I am more than pleased to serve you milady, whatever you ask of me now shall be done.”
Sabrina grinned, “we’ll start at breakfast this morning.”

That morning, the dawners gathered at the large dining table for breakfast, the alpha came downstairs to join them with his mate, and there was the usual cheery atmosphere in the hall, after everyone had dined and were now conversing, gamma Kiron stood up first, going to the alpha to whisper something into his ear. Lucas then stood up to leave.
“I have some urgent matters to attend to precious, I’ll be back.”
“Ok dear,” she said as she watched him leave through the door with Kiron.
Sabrina smiled, watching everything from the corner where she sat with Ray, using the mind control on the gamma to distract Lucas worked perfectly, she thought. Then she whispered to Ray, “now’s your chance, go and meet her and try to start up a conversation, do everything you can to reawaken those old feelings she once had for you.”
“Yes milady.”
Ray then stood, dropping his plate to go towards where Ava sat with Kiara. Ava held a strange expression on her face as soon as she realized that she was the one Ray had come to talk to.
“Um…hello Ava.”
“Ray, its so good to see you, how are you today?” She beamed at him.
“I’m very fine Ava, um… can we talk in private for a moment?”
She exchanged glances with Kiara, and then stared back at him strangely, “what for?”
“Nothing… well, I just thought that we could catch up on old times, you know, and um… I wanted to thank you for pleading with your mate to save my life the other day, it was pretty thoughtful of you, I didn’t know that you still cared so much about me…”
“Can I know what is going on here?”
Everyone looked in the direction of the dominant voice, the alpha was back; and the look he had on his face gave the sign that he was not at all pleased seeing who is mate was in conversation with.
Ray began to tremble, “um… g-good morning alpha Lucas, Ava and I were just talking.”
“Talking? About what?”
“N-n-nothing serious sire…”
Sabrina then quickly stood up and went over to intervene. “Oh Ray, are you done speaking with Ava? We’d better go now; remember we still have some stuff to do in our room.” She turned towards Lucas, bowing, “thank you for sparing the life of my partner, alpha Lucas and for all your help, I hope that the goddess rewards you with so much happiness for your kindness towards us.”
After speaking, she grabbed Ray’s hand and hurriedly disappeared out of the dining room; Ray could still feel Lucas glaring holes into his back as they left.

“I thought you said that you’d keep alpha Lucas distracted milady!” Ray complained as soon as they both entered back into Sabrina’s room.
“I did, but I’m sure he probably wanted to check up on her one more time before he left her completely; now we’ve gone a step backward, he’ll be watching you more closely after what happened today, I am well aware now that he doesn’t trust you.”
“That’s just one problem milady, it will be very difficult if not impossible for me to woo Ava on time, I saw the way she looked at me today; she just spoke to me neutrally, there was no form of emotion in her eyes except the one she had when she begged for me to be spared, she does care for me all right, but that doesn’t mean she loves me, it seems she’s forgotten about any romantic feelings she had for me in the past, that’s if she ever had them at all.
Sabrina rolled her eyes, “Calm your fears Ray, she doesn’t have to be in love with you in order to cheat on her mate; after all there’s more than one way to enchant a woman, the main problem we have now is keeping Lucas away from Ava long enough so that you can have your way with her.”
She walked towards the window, opening the curtains while her mind hatched a plan, “I’ll have to come up with a way for Lucas to be occupied long enough so he can be away from his mate for a while to buy you enough time. As for making her fall for you, I will give you an enchanted necklace that you will gift her with, she doesn’t need to wear it, all she needs is a small physical contact with it, and then after that, there’s nothing you’ll do or say to her that she won’t be able to resist.”
