Masking spell
Susannah got up from the ground after her mother had pushed her, she was still trying to come to terms with what had just happened when she saw her mother’s headless body lying where her own body was supposed to, after realizing what her mother had done, she began to scream hysterically.
Remember the time that Gabrielle said that Susannah was the most powerful witch because of her peak age? That time began to manifest as Susannah’s screams began to summon a heavy wave of dark wind, loud thunder sounded in the air, an almost deafening sound which even sent shivers down the soldiers’ spines. Susannah’s eyes then became illuminated and the wind only grew stronger, quenching all the fires that destroyed the witches’ home, waves of lightning and electricity began to shoot from high up and down to the ground, scaring the horses. King William and his men tried escaping, but the powerful wind overtook the men and their horses, throwing them in different directions, dark clouds formed in the air as the wind only grew stronger and stronger, and Susannah’s screams grew louder. It didn’t take long before Susannah’s powers cleared the whole army, killing all the men, including the powerful King William.

***BACK TO PRESENT TIME***
“Rabbi, dear Rabbi, who would’ve known that you were the reason for my loss that day? Thank my ancestors for the tree of knowledge, the tree which tells every tale, every happening, the tree that makes sure nothing ever goes forgotten. I was able to see everything, your betrayal, your foolishness which led to your death. It gave me the most pleasure to see those crocodiles devour you to the last piece of flesh, but even that punishment was not enough for the suffering you caused me. For 800 years, I have lived a lonely existence, I have had no one, but I remained in this world because I swore that I would make you pay a million times over, I may not have been able to take your soul, but I promised that I would wait to make you suffer in your next life, I will multiply your anguish, I will give you the worst form of existence ever known to man, and then I will kill you and take your soul.
A thick blue fog began to erupt from inside the pot, distracting her, the spell was ready.
“Now the time has come, I’ll be giving myself a new name now,” Susan smiled as she stood and walked over to the pot which contained the spell, all that was left was to complete were the incantations, and as she did, her voice raged like thunder.
“Sisters of the Virani, and all my deceased kin,
Hear me now today, as I call you from within!”
“This spell will give me a new face, a new identity that no one has ever known before. Once I wear this masking spell, I will no longer be called Susan nor Susannah, I will now be called Sabrina, the helpless omega refugee, I will be looking for shelter, and I will find myself a home in the dawn pack.
“Who is Sabrina you may ask? Sabrina will be the doom of Lucas De’ Clan. Sabrina will ruin his life. Sabrina will be the bane of his very existence; she will bring about his end. He dares to be happy, he dares to find his mate, to find followers and fulfillment, never!!! I might have been a fool to have even spared his life eleven years ago, but I will not make such foolish mistake again.”
The fog from the pot rose and slowly began to change Susan’s appearance, until she wore a different face; the face of Sabrina, the masking spell was now complete.
“Do not worry mama, very soon your heart will be laid to rest, very soon we will have our final revenge on him. I swear by our ancestors I will make him pay.”
Sabrina was about to leave her home to enter into the human world, when she heard the sound of her pet bird squawking again, she went over to pet him.
“Oh, dear Nabin, you cannot come along with me; wolves do not keep pets, because they are the pets themselves. You will stay here and keep watch over my home, mummy will be back soon, soon with the soul of Lucas De’ Clan in my hand.”
She then summoned a portal, and as she walked through it, she continued with her incantations, she was about to go on a mission, a mission she’s waited for over 800 years.
“It will be over my dead body if I ever see Rabbi happy, he does not deserve to be happy in this life or the next, NEVER, he deserves to be miserable and all alone, just like I am, and I will make sure of that, I’ll push everyone surrounding him away, I’ll take away everyone he loves just like I did before, and then I will take my revenge on him.”
Sabrina will make the pain last; Sabrina will give him a life of grief, sorrow and pain, only when she holds his soul in her hand, will she finally rest.
“I’m coming for you Rabbi; I am coming for you,” she states before she enters the human world.

***AT THE DAWN PACK***
“Ahhhh!”
Lucas screamed as he jolted from his bed, he’s had another nightmare again, the same set of nightmares which have become more frequent than usual, these were nightmares that remind him of the day he was cursed, a day he wants to forget, a day that reminded him of the woman who called him Rabbi.
“What’s the matter?” Ava asked as she turned on the bedside lamp, his scream had woken her up. “Is it the nightmares again?”
“Yes, only now they seem so real, like something bad is about to happen, but I don’t know what!” he slumped in frustration.
“I’ve told you Lucas, you are an alpha now, you are now much stronger than you were the day she cursed you, you have Erasmus now, you have the dawn pack now, you have ME now, I don’t think you have anything to fear with all of us surrounding you.”
She took his face in her arms and gave him a kiss before laying his head on her breasts, stroking him.
“I’ll never let any harm come to you Lucas, whatever it is you’re going through now, I promise we’ll get through it together.”
That was all he needed to hear, the soothing sound of her voice, the warm touch of her hand was all he needed, and soon after, they both fell asleep.
