After almost an hour had passed, when Aiden had gone and returned and returned from the cafeteria to get them snacks and drinks while waiting for Declan, the latter strolled inside the class slowly, stylishly running his hand through his hair.
“Dumbàss, I told you to come here as soon as you can!” Zoey sprung up.
“Oh, that. I have a duty to perform,” Declan tilted his head sarcastically.
“Oh, really?”
“So, why do I come here? As you might have known, I can’t be here in the same space with Aiden,” Declan said and glanced at Aiden who was peacefully sipping his drinks, not sparing him a glance.
“Huh, who wants to be in the same space as you?” Aiden rolled his eyes.
“I’ll agree to be your FAKE girlfriend, but, only on one condition,” Zoey tightened her arms across her chest.
“Which is?” Declan raised a brow, moved towards the table beside him, and sat on it.
“We want to create a singing group, we need you to be a member to be able to create a group,” Zoey answered.
“What the fûck? You want me to be in a singing group? Why can’t you just join the existing groups?” Declan frowned.
“We have our reason. So, deal or no deal?”
“But, how do we still convince Xyler that Aiden and I are on bad terms? It just doesn’t add up,” Declan hissed.
“Since we might have to do it this way, why don’t you almost make Xyler present during the practice? You guy can act like cats and dogs during the practice and then we’ll have our practice elsewhere, outside the school,” Zoey suggested.
“Hmm, cool, I’m okay with it, But…” Aiden said and glanced at Tiffany.
“Sunday would be fine, right babe?” Zoey said to Tiffany and the latter nodded her head.
“Do we have to do this?” Declan frowned his face.
“You can leave if you are not interested, I can go get the guy who had been on my throat for a REAL relationship. He’s going to join for my sake,” Zoey shrugged her shoulder.
“Who is that?” Declan creased his brow.
“What’s your business with that?” Zoey glared at him, grabbed her phone, and prepared to go through it.
“Let’s do it!” Declan said hurriedly.
“I know you’ll give in,” Zoey smiled mockingly.
“So, we’ll write out our names then we’ll go submit it. So, while we are at it, let’s get a name for the group, and let’s test each other,” Zoey clasped her hands together.
“Huh?” Declan raised a brow.
“Let’s take a test on Idina Menzel’s song titled ‘Let it go’. You all know the song?” Zoey said with excitement plastered across her face.
“Yes,” Aiden and Tiffany chorused.
“Let it go? Is that a song?” Declan leaned his head forward.
“Yes, don’t tell me you don’t know it,” Zoey creased her brow.
“Well, I don’t,” Declan shrugged his shoulder off non-challantly.
“Then let’s go for ‘Ghost’ by Justin Bieber.”
“Cool.”
” Alright.”
Aiden and Tiffany answered respectively.
“Wait, there’s a song named ghost?!” Declan widened his eyes in shock.
“Is it that surprising?! You’re fucking not current!” Zoey burst out while Aiden and Tiffany laughed.
“I prefer movies,” Declan frowned.
“Whatever! Let’s sing bad habit by Ed Sheeran,” Zoey rested her hands on her waist.
“I… I don’t know it,” Declan said first.
“Which song do you know then?”
“Let’s sing baby. I know that one very well,” Declan grinned.
”What a dumbàss,” Tiffany hissed.
”What?!” Declan shouted.
“Yeah, I know it’s not easy to be dumb. It takes a whole lot of strength to be dumb. I give it to you,” Tiffany saluted mockingly.
“Did you just… Are you nuts?”
“I know, it’s not like I’m expecting you to admit it.”
“Aiden, warn that girl! I’m going to deal with her!”
“Coming from someone who doesn’t even know there’s a song titled ghost,” Tiffany rolled her eyes.
“Who cares about that?! If I mention ten movies I’ve seen, I swear you won’t have seen more than two there,” Declan boasted.
“Yeah, what an achievement! Why don’t you make a flyer of each movie you’ve seen and paste it around your room?” Tiffany sneered.
“Hey! I will…”
“Okay! Let’s take a test on baby!” Zoey interrupted and then Aiden helped by clapping his hands together.
“Y’all know the line, ‘Oh, for you, I would have done whatever and I just can’t believe we ain’t together?” Zoey said.
“Yeah,” they all chorused.
“Okay, I’ll go first then Tiffany, Aiden, and then Declan. Y’all ready? Countdown to 3!”
“3… 2… 1!” Tiffany said.
?Oh, for you, I would have done whatever and I just can’t believe we ain’t together.
And I wanna play it cool, but I’m losing you.
I’ll buy you anything, I’ll buy you a ring.
And I’m in pieces, baby, fix me.
And just shake me till you wake me from this bad dream.
I’m going down, down, down, down.
And I just can’t believe my first love won’t be around.?
“You’ve got a great voice!” Tiffany commented and Zoey smiled.
” Your turn,” Zoey said.
While Tiffany breathed in and out nervously, Aiden took her hand inside his slowly. They turned to look at each other and he nodded his head at her.
”Okay, here I come…”
… Oh, for you, I would have done whatever…
“For real, I’ve never heard you sing. You sing so beautifully!” Zoey exclaimed.
“Thank you,” Tiffany blushed.
The next was Aiden, and he killed it totally with his voice.
A voice they never imagined he was going to have.
When it was Declan’s turn, he cleared his throat for almost a minute and then he began.
“I would have done whatever, and I just can’t believe we ain’t together and…”
“We said you should sing, not talk!” Zoey snapped.
“But, I was singing!” He retorted.
” You didn’t sing for crying out loud!” Zoey screamed out in frustration, Aiden and Tiffany laughing.
“So, y’all letting discrimination set in?” Declan creased his brow and Zoey burst out in laughter unconsciously.
“Fûck you,” Declan stood up.
“It’s fine, dear. Why don’t you be a rapper?” Tiffany suggested, laughing.
“It’s not funny!” Declan yelled.
“I didn’t laugh, oops, I laughed,” Tiffany pressed her lips together, trying to suppress the laughter that was threatening to fall.
“It’s not your fault, bîtch. I…”
“Call your mama a bîtch, scumbag, not me,” Tiffany said, her expression suddenly turned hard.
“What?! How dare you put my mama into this?!” Declan bellowed, dashing towards her.
“End of meeting! Till we meet again!” Aiden grabbed Tiffany with all the strength he had in him and pulled him out of the chair.
“Zoey, tell your fake boyfriend to take a deeeeeep breath,” Aiden said and hurried out of the classroom with Tiffany.
==
“You are one trouble maker I’ll never get tired of,” Aiden said to Tiffany after they had passed a few classes and he had let go of her hand.
“He annoyed me first, I mean, why the fûck would he call me a bîtch when he and I aren’t close. (Hisses) why won’t I send him to his mother?” Tiffany folded her arms across her chest as they ascended the stairs.
“Declan really hates people speaking ill of his mother, she is on a sickbed at the moment, so he hates it more,” Aiden explained.
“His mother is sick?”
“Yeah, she’s suffering from blood cancer, stage four,” Aiden answered.
“Woah, I didn’t know,” she bits her lower lips.
“I know you do not know. Although he loved his mother, he had refused to go visit her at the hospital. He was scared to see how ugly his mother had become. Even his mother wasn’t interested in seeing him and his sister. I guess she also didn’t want them to see her that way.”
“Woah, I didn’t know he had a sister,” she shook her head.
“Don’t tell him I said any of this to you. I know you well, you could insult him with it when you guys get in any heated argument again,” Aiden halted in front of the door that led to the rooftop.
“Come on, I’m not that bad,” Tiffany rolled her eyes, turned the knob of the door, and strolled in.
“Good,” Aiden smiled, trailing behind her.
“But, how come you’ve never said anything to me about yourself? Are you afraid it will lead to you talking about your family and you don’t want to?” Tiffany faced him, walking backwardly slowly.
“I… You never asked,” Aiden stammered.
“But I didn’t ask about Declan too, ” she shrugged her shoulder.
“I… I’ll tell you what you need to know but can you face front while you walk? You don’t wanna fall flat on the ground,” Aiden said as his eyes caught the piece of wood lying on the floor.
I can’t fall,” Tiffany shrugged her shoulder.
“Well, you can. Watch out,” Aiden pointed his hand at the wood lying on the floor.
“Why? You wanna get rid of my face?” Tiffany chuckled and then stepped on the wood unconsciously.
“Girl!” Aiden snapped, rushed forward, and hurriedly scooped her into his arm as she had already lost her balance.
As he curled his hand over her, Tiffany’s hair fell over her face and he prepared to place his hand on her face gently.
Tiffany pressed her lips together slowly, Aiden had touched her shoulder, but surprisingly, it didn’t hurt like it used to.
Oh, maybe it was because she was getting drunk in his cologue, she did feel it. Just a little.
Aiden used his fingertip to get rid of the strands of hair slowly and bore his eyes deeply into her.
He had known this lady for almost two weeks and it was getting unbearable to keep his feelings in check.
He was growing to like her more and it hurts that the lady wasn’t acting like she like him till today that she looked captivated in his arms.
Hehehe, he knew a hot slap was coming for him after the lady regains her self, but, he wouldn’t care.
He loved how he was looking at her face till his eyes fell on her lips and felt the urge to place his lips on that red lips.
Wheres, Tiffany’s eyes had also fallen on his lips.
“Would he kîss me?” she wondered.
Oh, she wouldn’t lie she had already imagined his lips on hers especially on the day a drop of ketchup smeared over his lips.
God, what was this tingling feeling that was in her heart.
It was as if her heart was wrapped in a warm blanket and at the same time yearning for a warm blanket.
In short, it seems as if the blanket wrapped around her heart wasn’t enough.
She said nothing and held her breath as she saw Aiden’s face getting closer to hers.
Oh, maybe he was really going to kiss her.
She closed her eyes and prepared to welcome his lips when…
“Fûck, guys, if you like each other that much, why don’t you date? You really do not need to flirt!” Zoey interrupted and walked toward them while Tiffany hurriedly pushed Aiden away from her.
“W… We weren’t flirting… I was going to trip over so he caught me,” Tiffany stammered, rearranging her hair.
“Yeah,” Zoey nodded her head.
“I’m serious! Right, Aiden?” Tiffany glanced at Aiden who chucked slightly.
“Yes.”
YES?! How can he look so cool after being caught that way?
Why was she the only one feeling reckless?
Shouldn’t he also be feeling the way she was feeling?
But instead, the dude chuckled.
“I… I will visit the restroom!” Tiffany raised her hand swiftly.
“Yeah, you really need it as your face had turned red like a tomato,” Zoey teased.
“Ah… Shît!” Tiffany covered her face and rush past her.
“Should I follow you?” Zoey asked.
”No!, I’m fine!” Tiffany shouted as she walked past the door.
“Shouldn’t you confess your feelings to her first?” Zoey eyed Aiden and walked towards the railing.
“W… What do you mean?” Aiden creased his brow and walked slowly after her.
“I’m not dumb, I know you have feelings for her,” Zoey smiled.
”Oh,” Aiden smiled.
“You won’t tell her?”
” I don’t know if it is mutual. Do you think she likes me?” Aiden asked Tiffany as he rested his arms on the railing.
“I’m not sure about how she feels for you. You know how Tiffany is. But, if she doesn’t feel anything, you might have received a slap for having your hand around her in that manner, ” Zoey explained as she wrapped her arms around herself.
“You think so?” Aiden asked.
“Of course!” Zoey nodded her head.
“So, should I tell her?” He bit his lower lips.
“Yeah. I’m rooting for you anyways.”
=
“Yeah, I know what I’m doing. Declan has taken my side fully.”
Declan overheard as he was about to enter the lounge which door was slightly opened.
Who was Xyler conversing with?
Well, he was going to lurk around to eavesdrop.
“I know, I’m being careful.”
“I’ll be working on my second plan soon which is toying with Aiden’s newfound playmate. ”
Aiden’s newfound playmate?
Tiffany?!
Hell, no.
“Listen, brother, this is the only way I can do my thing. I’m going to make those dudes regret doing what they did. It’s their fault what happened to Luna happened!” Xyler retorted.
So, his brother knew about this?
But, which brother?
Xyler said he was the only child.
And who’s Luna?
“Don’t worry, I’ll surely be the end of them. I’ll call you later. Okay?”
Declan stepped back slowly and inhaled deeply.
What was happening?
To know what was happening, he needs to be very close to the guy.
He nodded his head, walked towards the door, and pushed it open.
“Guy,” Xyler hurriedly wore a smile and trailed towards Declan.
“What are you doing here? I thought you were in the basketball court,” Declan answered.
”Yeah, I came back in after feeling a throbbing headache,” Xyler answered.
“Oh, sorry. Did you use anything?” Declan asked and walked towards the refrigerator.
“Yes, dude.”
”By the way, when will Aiden come and pack his stuff from here?” Xyler asked as he watched Declan remove a bottled water from the refrigerator.
“Oh, that. Will you tell him? I can’t bring myself to face the guy at the moment. We just got into a fight. Huh, guy be getting rude day by day,” Declan hissed.
”You guys fought?” Xyler raised a brow, his lips tugging into a smile.
“Yeah.”
“Oh, I feel bad you guys are fighting because of me,” Xyler pouted.
As if.
“It’s not your fault, so don’t worry,” Declan said.
Huh, as if.
Who the hell is this guy and why is he after him and Aiden?
What the fûck those he have on them?
Declan wished he could really scream that out.
But he could not…
