Nicole looked around in fear, it took forever for them to get here and when they finally did, they had brought her to this room and left her here, still blindfolded, but they later came back and removed her blindfolded, but still left her hands tied, she was alone in the room and no sight of Natie, she had been right, they didn’t have her they just used it to get her to comply easily.
The door opened and the younger of the two men came in
“You are still awake? Good, your sister is here, so you guys can keep each other company until your fate is decided,”
He said and went out, when he came back he was carrying Natalie who was unconscious.
“What did you do to her? What happened to her?”
She asked in fear, she looked so lifeless.
“Well, she wasn’t as comparative as you were so she had to be drugged, it will wear off, get some rest,”
The guy said, he didn’t look like he was a bad person but he was doing this which means he was a bad person
“Why are you doing this? Why?”
She sobbed.
“This? I don’t even know, I am just doing as I was told, I don’t have a say in this, I am just following instructions, please don’t ask me to do things like save you or let you go, I can’t do that, I would die before I can leave this place so I can’t do those,”
He said, was he saying the truth? she really couldn’t tell, she tried to get off the rope used to tie her then she noticed she was tied to the bed, it was useless trying to free herself, she wanted to go check on Natalie and make sure she was breathing but there was no way she could do that.
“Can you at least untie me? I need to make sure my sister is fine,”
She pleaded as he was about to leave.
“I can’t do that, it’s just me here and there are two of you, if I untie you and you become hostile, I will get in trouble, so you have to wait for the person in charge to decide that,”
He replied and left the room, he closed the door and she heard it lock click, she wondered why he bothered to lock the door when she could not even loosen the rope that was used to tie her, how did he think she would be able to escape? With Natalie still laying down and looking lifeless, she wished her sister will wake up soon.
What are they going to do? This was her fault, she should have let Rafael’s bodyguards stay with her but she had been careless now look what happened, her stubbornness lead to t5his and she has to fix it but she didn’t even know-how, she could tell what time it was but she knew it took a while for them to get here, her guess will be either eleven pm or twelve midnight, she knew her parents will be worried and might have started looking for them.
“God, this is all my fault,”
She whispered to herself as tears ran down her eyes, she couldn’t do anything else than cry, she started to feel sleepy and she tried to keep herself awake, she didn’t know what those men had planned for them and falling asleep will only make the both of them more vulnerable to attack, she should at least stay awake for her sister, she did her best to stay awake but the more she tried the more sleepy she became.
“Please, please,”
She pleaded as she felt her eyes get heavy with sleep, she blinked to keep it off but she was too tired to keep awake and gave into sleep only a moment later…
She was woke by Natalie’s voice, she opened her eyes to see her sister looking at her from the distance and crying.
“Natie,”
“What happened Cole? What are we doing here?”
She asked, she still look weak and lost.
“I don’t know Natie, I don’t know anything,”
She said as tears gathered in her own eyes.
“What are we going to do?”
Natalie asked, she was looking so scared, Nicole didn’t even know what they were going to do, their captor, whoever it was hadn’t shown up since he dropped them off here only the younger man came and even that one hasn’t returned.
“I don’t know Natie, I don’t know,”
“Why is this happening now? Who did we offend?”
Nicole knew this was related to Rafael but she couldn’t tell Natie that.
“I don’t know,”
“I was waiting for you at the complex when they came, I try to fight but they were stronger and they, God, my head hurt,”
Natalie said, she looked so pale and she could barely make out what she was saying, but one thing was clear and it is that Natalie had been the one who texted her and between texting her and her coming, they had taken Natalie and had come back for her.
“Natie, calm down okay, we will be fine, they won’t harm us,”
“How are we going to be sure of that?”
“I still feel dizzy, what did they give to me? My head hurt,”
She complained.
“I am sorry Natie, this is all my fault,”
“How? How is it your fault?”
“I should have listened when Rafael said I needed a bodyguard, I shouldn’t have told him off as I did, now I didn’t only get myself in trouble but I did with you too, I am sorry for dragging you into this if only we didn’t look so much alike,”
“God, Nicole, I don’t have the strength to start this now but didn’t we agree not to pass blames on each other? Let’s just hope for the best, and stay positive,”
Natie said, she was trying to keep her eyes open and was blinking so much, maybe the drug wasn’t completely off.
“Natie, are you okay?”
Nicole asked worriedly when her sister suddenly went still.
“I am feeling sleepy again, I am going to sleep again,”
She said and a few moments later she went silent, Nicole watched her, at least her mind was at peace a little, she was fine, she wished she could at least make use of her hands then she can go to her sister and comfort her and also gain strength from her, she barely closed her eyes again when the door open, the two men who originally brought her here accompanied by a third man entered the room, her heart leaped in fear.
The new man looked from one man to the other.
“What is happening here? Why are there two of them?”
He asked.
“We couldn’t tell which one was the one we were after so we decided to bring the two of them, the older of the two guys that kidnapped her said, she thought he was the boss turned out that he is also just a puppet.
“Well, two is even better,”
The supposed boss said clapping his hands and pulling a chair to seat, Nicole looked over at her sister and saw that she was awake.
“So, let’s keep you guys posted on why you guys are here, well, one of I don’t know who, is married or was married to Rafael, well, see Salvador doesn’t know when to stop and let’s say I am not going to take the fall alone.
He said. No one in the room said a word, the two men who had brought her here both stood at the corner watching the boss.
