“Then why am I hearing that you are going to buy out my company? Just know that I would rather die than sell to you,”
He said jumping from his wives to his own story, that was what brought him here in the first place, he didn’t come because he cared for his family, he was too self-centered for that.
“Where ever or whoever you heard that from, you better un-hear it, why would I want to associate with a criminal company? I have never plan on investing my money in crimes,”
Rafael responded shocking Leonard, the dude must be stupid to think he wanted his property.
“So you don’t have any plans of buying?”
“I just said so, didn’t I? Anyway, you should leave this minute, my patience is fast running out and I might add trespassing to your list of growing charges.”
Rafael said in a dismissing voice.
“Can’t you just let me off the hook, this all started because of you, I lost everything because of you,”
Leonard accused.
“No it’s your fault, everything happened because of your greed, now get out of my office before I call my security to drag you out and you know there is always someone who takes photos,”
Rafael threatened.
“I will leave but just know you haven’t seen the end of me, I will be back and when I return, you are going to be the one begging,”
“You wish,”
Rafael said as Leonard stormed out of his office, he went back to his work immediately putting Leonard at the far end of his mind, senseless, he didn’t have time to waste on senseless people, when he raised his head about two hours later to take a break he decided to call his wife, he suddenly thought it would be cool if they went away for the whole of next week, Hawaii would be a nice location.
“Wifey, are you ready for our trip?”
Rafael asked when Natalie took the call, she was relatively quiet this morning when he left and he had assumed she was tried since she didn’t get enough sleep last night, ever seen they became active together, it had become hot between them, they were hardly apart and spend all nights together, for someone who didn’t have any lover before him, his wife was hell of a bold woman, if she wants him, she reaches out for him and he was always ready to serve her, she never holds back from him which was much of a turn on for him too, they fitted so well in bed and even out of it, they spent their weekends together when he is not working, a lot of things she used to do when they were dating she didn’t do them now, for instance, she hardly leaves her studio, when her contract with some of the brands she worked with ended, she had refused to renew, he wanted to ask her if that’s what she really want but seeing how happy she was to just be in that studio, getting all dirty with paints, gave him the answers he needed.
“What trip are you talking about? Are we going anywhere?”
“Yes baby, our honeymoon, we leave tomorrow and spend the whole of next week at our vacation home in Hawaii,”
He announced.
“Wow, how come I am just finding out?”
She asked and he could hear the excitement in her voice.
“That’s because I just planned it, it came to my mind, I want to get out of Florida for a while and be with you, just the two of us and I have the perfect place in Hawaii, so what do you say, baby? Wanna do it?”
He asked already knowing what her answer would be and she didn’t disappoint him.
“Of course, I would love to,”
“I knew you would, we will leave tomorrow and it’s for the whole of next week,”
“Sure, where are you, it doesn’t seem like you are at home,”
He asked, this was the first time in a while that he is calling her and she isn’t home.
“Yes, I am not at home, I am at Vhrisma, I wanted a little exploration since it’s been a while I have come here,”
“Oh, that’s cool, have fun baby, I will see you at home,”
He replied, he was happy he didn’t do away with Vhrisma, that was where he first met the real her, not the glamorous model but the real woman, the one he liked the most.
“Okay, I have to go, bye,”
She said and the call ended, he missed her immediately, calling her when he was at work was his habit now and he liked it, when he calls her, she filled him in on what was going on with her work and then he tells her how and what he has been up to at work, she always listened which made him sometimes wonder why she acted like she didn’t give two fucks about his business when they were dating, back then when she used to act sleepy or bored when they talked now he could go on and on and she would still nod in understanding and even ask questions and give advise too, he liked having small talks with her, whether on the phone or pillow talks, she was good at both and he never knew he needed someone to have those talks with until he started doing it with her and now he couldn’t go a day without it.
“You are in love with her,”
The voice in his head whispered, it has been silent for a long time now, and the first thing he says when he comes back is this? Rafael shook his head in disagreement, he wasn’t in love with Natalie, he liked her quite alright, he wasn’t denying that but he didn’t love her that much he knew, and also he wasn’t interested in getting her property again, he just wanted to remain married to her, maybe just maybe with time he would fall for her and they will build the family he never had and never thought he needed, he realized just how much his goals had changed in just two months, he didn’t fancy lots of things he used to fancy, yes he still wanted to make more money and still wanted to expand worldwide even more but now, he took things a little slower and enjoyed the moments he took off work, he realized he could enjoy life and also work, he could make a family too, he wasn’t getting younger as much as he thought and starting a family with Natalie didn’t seem like a bad idea at all…
