The flags hanging at the Superior Bay Hotel’s beach fluttered in the air. On that day, more than a hundred companies from all over the country were gathered there. Therefore, more than 500 company executives participated in the Merchants Fair.
The representatives of the Spring River City City and several government officials stood at the entrance reception. There were also ten elegant beautiful women stationed on both sides of the glass door.
On the huge rainbow colored door, the banner read, ” Welcome to the Spring River City’s Merchants Fair.”
The deputy director of the Merchants Bureau personally greeted the entrepreneur representatives. It could be seen that the city placed great importance in the event.
Finally, the medical team arrived at the venue. Two ambulances parked near the entrance. Beside the ambulances, there were two explosion-proof police cars. Inside the cars were several armed young police officers.
Two special force police officers were stationed at the entrance. They were inspecting each vehicle that entered the venue. Meanwhile, two large police dogs wandered back and forth in the parking lot from time to time.
The entire atmosphere was full of excitement. The Merchants Fair was led by the city management in cooperation with the Merchants Bureau, the Land Planning Bureau, the Environmental Protection Bureau and other related departments.
Since developing the economy was the city’s main priority, the success of the Merchants Fair would have a great impact on the future development of Spring River City.
Just then, a black Maybach arrived at the entrance of the hotel.
The chairman of the Ann Enterprise, Kelvin and his father, Pedro, got out of the car. Following closely behind them was the chairman of the Sky Tech Group, Maxwell.
Spotting Pedro, Maxwell quickly caught up with him.
“Hello, Mr. Ann. It’s so nice to see you,” he greeted.
“Oh, Maxwell. Nice to meet you.”
Businessmen were adept at initiating conversations. Maxwell was there to promote his industrial park project. He wanted his project to become the token of the Spring River City’s high-tech industrial park.
However, gaining interest wasn’t a simple task. The investment sum in high-tech industries was high, but the return on investment was slow. Therefore, any party involved in that industry would have very little liquid assets.
Several other domestic famous enterprises, including companies of the oil and gas industry as well as the telecommunications industry, were all present at the fair. As the representative of a relatively small enterprise, Maxwell couldn’t miss such a grand event.
Tommy, on behalf of his family’s Fortune Jewelry, had also been invited to participate in the event. It was because his father Tobias thought it would be a good opportunity for Tommy to learn through experiencing such an event.
Tommy was well aware of his own abilities. Hence, he made Brucille come along with him.
The two of them dressed formally for the occasion, clad in suits and ties. The truth was, Brucille had just purchased his suit. When Tommy had called him to tell him to wear a formal attire, he realized that he had no suit in his wardrobe.
He had told Tommy that he would rather dress casually, as wearing a suit made him feel uncomfortable.
However, Tommy refused to compromise. After all, they were facing big shots. Therefore, he couldn’t just tarnish his image like that.
Not long after they entered, Tommy spotted a guest around his age. He quickly approached him.
“Francis!” he called.
“D*mn, I’ve finally found a young person here. For a second, I thought I was in a senior citizens club. Tommy and Brucille, I didn’t expect you to be here,” Francis responded.
Brucille studied the man quickly. He didn’t need to use the real Brucille’s memory to identify the young man in front of him as he had been acquainted with Francis before he possessed his new body. Francis was the general manager of the Fabulous Mines Group, while his father Douglas Luo was the founder and chairman of the said company.
However, he didn’t expect that the real Brucille would also know Francis as well.
A little upset, Tommy muttered, “You make it sound like a small enterprise like ours can’t attend this event. I know, it’s nothing compared to a listed company like yours.”
Francis turned to look at Brucille. With a smile, he asked, “Brucille, are you still sleeping separately from your wife?”
Brucille smiled bitterly. He was too embarrassed to share that information with others.
Putting an arm around Brucille’s shoulder, Francis chided, “I’ve told you long ago that with your looks, it’ll be easy for us to find a B-list star for you. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”
“Forget it. I don’t have any desire for that. After all, I only have one egg,” Brucille replied. Francis and Tommy looked down on him for his reply.
At the event, the seats were numbered. Although Francis was supposed to be seated at the front, he brought the sign bearing the name of ‘Fabulous Mines’ to where the representative of the Fortune Jewelry was supposed to be seated.
That way, it would be convenient for them to chat.
After the two-hour presentation ended, the participants were allowed to network with each other during the afternoon before the dinner was served. Through the networking session, potential collaborators could sit together and eventually engage in more detailed discussions during the dinner.
Francis sat beside Brucille. He told him, “I have nothing to do here. We don’t have any resources in our city, so there’s nothing for me to invest.”
As a top student who had studied abroad, Culver had also been invited to participate in the fair. Moreover, he was a senior domestic business representative of a foreign investment bank.
Maxwell had already regarded Culver as his number one benefactor. After the afternoon engagement, the two reached an agreement on some aspects.
During dinner, Maxwell excitedly told him, “Mr. Huo, you are really young and admirable. With such a high position at your young age, your professional achievements in your field are simply amazing. You should take a good look at our company.”
Culver replied calmly, “Mr. Wu, I will take your opinion into consideration. I know that your company is about to be listed. Therefore, we will have our eyes on your company.”
“Good, very good. Here’s a toast to you, Mr. Huo.”
There was also a well-known artificial intelligence company who was sitting at the same table as Maxwell. The company wanted to get guidance on public listing, hence they were Culver’s potential client.
Naturally, Culver was especially interested in him. David Liew also needed Culver’s help urgently. Hence, standing up, he courteously began, “Mr. Huo, I hope we can work well together. I also hope that we will have your full support during the public listing process.”
Culver assured him confidently, “Mr. Liew, don’t worry. Our investment company provides full financial guidance to become a listed company, so you don’t have to worry at all. I’m about to return to the country to work, thus I will have more time to interact and communicate with you.”
After having a few glasses of wine, David’s face was flushed. He believed that his company would have great potential because of their great efforts.
Meanwhile, Culver searched for Monique in the crowd. He had already told her that he was going to attend the event. She had been obsessed with him for a while. So, why wasn’t she there?
He was a little disappointed. He smiled pretentiously at the people in front of him, but his gaze was fixed somewhere else.
