Chapter 63

Book:The Billionaire Pretend Girlfriend Published:2024-6-2

Amelia was walking alone in the hallway, lost in thought with nowhere to go. She felt stranded, as if she was in the middle of nowhere.
Liam arrived at the hospital, pondering what he would say to convince Amelia to follow him home and live with him.
“She’ll probably refuse, considering she has no idea who I am,” Liam said, disappointment evident in his tone.
A sudden sharp pain in his heart made him groan. He placed his hand on his left chest, waiting for the piercing feeling to subside.
“Don’t give up on me now. I still have to make Amelia remember me,” Liam muttered to himself, finding the courage to push through the pain.
A few seconds later, the pain eased, and he proceeded to Amelia’s room. He lightly knocked on the door, patiently waiting for a response. To his surprise, there was no answer.
“Could she be sleeping?” Liam wondered aloud, gently pushing the door, realizing it was open.
“Amelia,” Liam softly called out as he approached her bed.
Upon reaching the bed, he discovered that the room was empty, which filled him with confusion and worry.
“Where is she?” Liam exclaimed, rushing out of the room in search of Amelia.
He bumped into a doctor and immediately inquired about Amelia’s whereabouts. The doctor explained that she had been discharged and taken by a guy just a few minutes ago before excusing himself.
“Could it be Andrew?” Liam seethed with anger at the thought of Andrew taking Amelia away.
“That bastard. There’s no way I’m letting him come between me and Amelia,” Liam gritted his teeth before storming out of the hospital to find them.
“Amelia, wait!” Amelia stopped in her tracks upon hearing her name. She turned to see who called her, a frown etched on her face, before continuing on her way.
“Go home, Andrew,” Amelia uttered, walking away as Andrew followed closely behind.
“Stop, Amelia!” Andrew ran towards her, grabbing her hand to prevent her from going any further.
“Let go of me!” She yanked her hand away with force.
“Why are you doing this, huh?” Andrew questioned disapprovingly, puzzled by her attitude towards him.
“Are you kidding me right now?” Amelia scoffed, her left eyebrow raised in disbelief.
“What?” Andrew nervously uttered.
“Stay away from me, okay?” She sternly warned, her eyes filled with anger.
“Why should I? You are my girlfriend…” Andrew was interrupted as Amelia raised her palm, gesturing for him not to say anything.
“Don’t you dare call me your girlfriend. You didn’t think of me as your girlfriend when you were with that other woman right in front of my eyes!” Her voice trembled as she fought back the tears welling up in her eyes.
“I know I messed up. Can you please forgive me?” Andrew pleaded.
“Just stay away from me, okay? I don’t want anything to do with you anymore,” she admitted before turning away from him.
“Please, just give me another chance. I promise I won’t ever cheat or hurt you again,” Andrew’s promise sounded convincing, but Amelia wasn’t buying it.
“You slept with another girl because I refused to sleep with you and said I wasn’t ready. And now you’re here, begging for what exactly?” Amelia questioned, uncertainty evident in her words.
“I just want you to forgive me and let’s forget about what happened and move on with our lives,” Andrew explained, hope flickering in his eyes.
“Believe me, I really want to forget that night. I want to erase the disgusting memory of her on top of you,” Amelia began, Andrew standing before her, hoping she would forgive him and take him back.
“But I can’t, Andrew. You want to know why?” Amelia chuckled slightly.
“Amelia, I…”
“Because every time I close my damn eyes, I see images of her on top of you, and I hear you saying her name!” Her voice trailed off, as she struggled to hold back her tears from cascading down her cheeks.
“Please, baby, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I’m so sorry. Please give me another chance,” Andrew pleaded, attempting to reach for her arm, but she jerked it away immediately.
“Don’t you dare touch me!” Amelia warned, pointing her finger at him.
“You know, it wasn’t entirely my fault,” Andrew finally revealed the true extent of his arrogance that he had been trying to suppress.
“What?” Amelia looked taken aback, although deep down, she had expected him to blame her for the incident from the start, so she wasn’t entirely shocked.
“You heard me. If only you had agreed to sleep with me that night, none of this would have happened. I wouldn’t have slept with anyone else,” Andrew shamelessly accused her, shifting the blame onto her for not fulfilling his desires.
“Are you blaming me?” Amelia sneered in disbelief.
“I mean, I’m a man, after all,” Andrew shrugged, trying to justify his actions.
“I don’t even know why I’m still listening to you,” Amelia said, turning to leave. But Andrew pulled her back.
“Touch me again, and I will slap you so hard,” Amelia threatened.
“You can slap me,” Andrew held her hand, seemingly unfazed by her threats.
“Let go of me, Andrew. What’s your problem, huh?” Amelia pushed him away, causing Andrew to stumble and lose his balance.
“Don’t you dare show your face to me again. I dumped your sorry ass,” Amelia hissed, walking away.
“Stop, Amelia,” Andrew stood up and rushed towards her.
“Stop following me!” she snapped at Andrew, turning to face him.
“You know you can’t survive without me,” Andrew reminded her, taking advantage of her memory loss to manipulate her.
He knew she had no one else but him. She had lost all memories of Liam and couldn’t turn to him for help because she didn’t even know who he was.
“Stop following me, or I will call the cops,” Amelia threatened, hoping to deter him.
“Call the cops?” Andrew repeated, mocking her. Amelia frowned in confusion, wondering what he found so amusing.
“You don’t even have a phone with you, darling,” Andrew pointed out, chuckling lightly.
Amelia’s frown deepened as she hated the fact that he was right. She had no belongings and nowhere to go. She was essentially alone. But she was determined not to give in to Andrew, even though he seemed like her only choice at the moment.
“I have nothing to say or do with you. Just stay away from me,” Amelia declared, wanting to walk away. However, he continued to hold her hand tightly.
“Let go of me, Andrew. I’m warning you, let go,” Amelia struggled to break free from Andrew’s grip.
“You’re so ungrateful. After all I’ve done for you, I was the one who rescued you from that wretched orphanage you called home,” Andrew reminded her, referring to the place where she had grown up.
“Leave me alone, you piece of shit. If only I had known you were a monster, I never would have followed you,” Amelia admitted, desperately trying to break free.
“Well, you’re stuck with this monster now, because you have no other choice, unless you want to beg on the streets,” Andrew chuckled.
“Living on the streets is far better than living with an animal like you,” Amelia retorted, her voice filled with determination.
Andrew’s eyes widened momentarily, taken aback by her strong words. He tightened his grip on her hand, refusing to let go.
“Where will you go, huh? You have no one but me in this world…” Andrew’s voice trailed off as a voice interrupted him from behind.
“You’re wrong,” a voice spoke up, causing both Amelia and Andrew to turn their attention towards it.
