“Oh my gosh what will I do?”Amelia breathed out pacing around the restroom with her fingers going through her hair tugging on the tangled part freeing it.
“What will I do ? I can’t go back in there”Amelia shivers at the thought of confronting both Andrew and Liam in the same place scares her to the bone.
Amelia POV
This can’t be happening if Liam finds out that Andrew , who I thought he was , was in the same room with him. I can only imagine the disaster that will occur.
I’m very sure that bastard will waste no time in exposing me so that I can be alone again.
Well if I stay in this restroom still the meeting is over , maybe I won’t have to face that fool in front of Liam.
Few hours later, A lady walked into the restroom to see Amelia talking to herself weirdly. She glared at Amelia like she was one psychopath, Amelia ignored her glares and went to meet her.
“Hello, I’m Amelia”Amelia introduced herself with her hand stretched out.
The lady was a bit adamant on shaking hands with Amelia, But later shook it off and reached towards her stretched hand.
“I’m JessicaThe lady responded calmly.
“Nice to meet you Jessica, by the way do you by any chance know if the meeting is over”Amelia suddenly asked Jessica.
“Yeah, it was over 10 minutes ago”Jessica’s response made Amelia’s eyes widen.
She immediately reached for her phone to see 5 missed calls from Liam. She mentally palmed her forehead, She was so lost in thoughts that she didn’t hear when her phone rang.
“That you”Amelia thanked Jessica before running out of the restroom like a maniac.
“Gosh what a maniac”Jessica remarked before turning the sink tap on.
Amelia was running around in the building looking everywhere for Liam but saw no trace of him. The building wasn’t that big compared to Liam’s company but Amelia still found it difficult to find her way out.
Amelia POV
Gosh where the heck is Liam? Did he leave without me?, i don’t even know where I am. Andrew never told me he had a company what a jerk, he always like when I ask him for money and forbidden me from working. His so called I’m working late so I can take care of both of us was just an alibi for him to cheat on me with other girls.
Amelia’s thoughts were cut off when she bumped into someone mistakenly.
“I’m so sorry”She quickly apologised with her gaze down.
“Amelia”The person she hit called out her name as her eyes widened.
The voice sounded so familiar to her, she slowly lifted up her head to see Andrew staring at her with a smile on his lips.
“Nice to see you again Amelia, you look more prettier than before”He compliments as his eyes scans her body.
Amelia cringed at the way he was looking at her and was about to talk when she saw Liam approaching them from her side eyes.
“Oh my gosh”She panicked, making Andrew stare at her confusion by her sudden nervousness.
“What’s wrong?”Andrew questions her tensed state.
“Nothing just stay away from me!”She yells before running off to meet Liam.
Andrew turns to her direction and sees her with Liam and frowns.
“What is she doing with him?”Andrew rhetorically asks, staring at both of them from far.
Amelia held Liam hand and immediately ran with him out of the building to prevent Andrew from coming their way.
“What happened?”Liam questions her as soon as they get into the car.
“What do you mean?”Amelia asks obliviously.
“You were in the restroom for over an hour, I called you but you didn’t even pick” Liam complains a bit annoyed.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t paying attention,”Amelia admits.
“Where is your mind then, what are you thinking about?” Liam suspiciously asked, earning a groan from her.
“Can you please just drive?”She pleaded with me.
“Fine”Liam gave up and was about to drive but held the wheel looking at her.
“What?”She shifted under his gaze, feeling uncomfortable.
“Do you know Mr Jones?” Liam’s curiosity kicks in as he remembered he had seen them together.
“No.. no why do you ask?”Amelia nervously replied trying her best not to stutter.
“Well I saw you talking to him before you came to meet me”Liam calmly stated.
“Oh yeah, I mistakenly bumped into him,”Amelia quickly admits, hoping he won’t ask more questions.
“Oh okay, there is no way you will even know such a guy like that”Liam gives her a warm smile before driving off.
Amelia wonders what Liam meant by Such a guy but she decided to keep it to herself.

Andrew, confused as the scene of Amelia hugging Liam before dragging him out with her out of the building, replayed in his mind.
“Is she dating Liam now?”Andrew asked but got no reply.
“Wow I can’t believe Amelia knows Liam, She will be able to get me close with him”Andrew smirks.

Amelia and Liam arrived at the office. Liam immediately went inside his office leaving Amelia alone with the staff , they immediately rushed to meet her.
“Amelia, is it true that you and the boss are dating?”
“What is the boss like to you?”
“Omg this is so cool, have the both of you gone out on a date before?”
They flooded Amelia with questions, Amelia wanted to ignore them when she saw Claudia approaching their way and smiled.
“Yes I’m dating the boss”Amelia admits loudly hoping Claudia heard her.
Looks like Claudia heard her as she stopped at her tracks as soon as Amelia said that.
“Omg you are so cool”Laila squeaks excitedly.
“Yeah more than cool, I can’t believe you are dating the boss”Nina uttered, earning a glare from Laila.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”Laila asked Nina.
“I mean..”Laila cuts Nina short.
“Our Amelia is a beautiful lovely girl, anybody will be lucky to have her”Laila compliments fixing Amelia’s hair a bit.
“Thanks”Amelia grins.
“The relationship will never last”Claudia whispers from behind but Laila overheard her.
“Yeah , if only evil eyes don’t befall on them”She replies Claudia with the fakest smile ever.
Claudia rolled her eyes before walking away annoyed. Amelia stared at Claudia leaving as a small smile creeped up her lips.
“Okay I will be back guys”Amelia tells them before running away.
“Wait tell me about your date with the boss!”Laila yells but she is already gone.
“Why do you wanna know about that?”Mike scoffs glaring at her before leaving Laila dumbfounded.
Amelia was walking alone in the car pack, she wanted to get a file from Liam’s car. She felt like someone was following her but when she looked back she saw no one.
“Whose there?”Amelia’s voice echoes, receiving that as a response to her.
“I guess I’m just overthinking it”Amelia sighs, opening Liam’s car and grabbing the file before shutting the door. She gasps when she sees a guy standing in front of her.

Liam was wondering if Amelia wasn’t back with the file he asked her to bring for him in the car. He stood leaving his office in search of her.
“Do you know where Amelia is?” Liam questions Laila who was walking but halt in her tracks.
“No boss, I haven’t seen her around, why?”Laila cheekily grins. Liam ignores her to search for Amelia, Claudia saw Liam looking for Amelia and immediately panics.
Liam reached the car park calling out for Amelia but he got no response. Amelia saw Liam approaching her as she screamed his name but her voice was muffled by the man covering her mouth with a handkerchief.
Amelia bites the man’s hand making her Yelp in pain removing his hand from her mouth. Amelia wanted to use the opportunity to shout Liam name but she bites at tongue stopping herself, she couldn’t let Liam know about her secret.
Amelia was about to run when the man grabbed her placing a knife to her neck. She yelps in pain feeling the burning sensation on her neck.
“Where could she be?” Liam blurted out looking for Amelia everywhere.
Amelia cries out softly feeling blood roll down her neck. She saw Liam kept looking for her and prays silently he reached her soon.
Amelia POV
So this is how I’m going to die, I didn’t even accomplish anything yet, I’m still poor. I didn’t even get to tell Liam I loved him not that disgusting andrew, I felt the man press the knife to my neck deeper as I slowly started losing consciousness as everywhere was being to look blurry and black.
Liam POV
I was worried sick about Amelia , I could feel she was near me but I didn’t know where exactly. I hear a sound like someone calling out my name and saw Amelia with a man holding onto her with a knife piercing into her neck.
“Amelia!”Liam yells, rushing towards them with speed.
“Stand back, or else I will slit her throat open”The man threatens Liam pointing the knife at him before placing it back on Amelia’s neck.
“Don’t you dare, Amelia!” Liam calls out for Amelia but she had already fainted as he held onto her unconscious body.
“Let go of her at this moment!”Liam demanded with anger laced in his tone.
“Who do you think you are to boss me around Huh?”The man yells at Liam, piercing the knife deeper into Amelia’s neck.
“Stop, you are hurting her”Liam cries out.
“Enough, just because you are rich and all you think everyone will fall on your knees”The man barks at Liam.
Liam frowns at the man and was about to attack him when the two bodyguards he hired hijack the man from behind making him drop the fight. Liam immediately catches Amelia preventing her from falling.
“How dare you touch what is mine!” Liam’s eyes darkened as he gave Amelia to one of the men.
He took the knife from the ground and headed over to the man who was shivering in fear seeing Liam’s eyes.
“Please don’t hurt me”The man pleaded with Liam who place the knife to his head.
“Who sent you?”Liam questions as he pierce the knife deeply drawing blood from his neck.
“Please spare me”The man begs for mercy.
“Speak!” Liam yells.
“I was sent by Miss cla….”The man was about to say the person that hired him when Claudia shouted from behind.
“Omg what happened to Amelia?”She immediately rushed towards them, hindering the man from speaking.
Liam stares at her weirdly as she takes Amelia from his arms, ordering Liam’s guards to take the man to jail. Liam nodded slightly giving him approval as his guards dragged the man along with them.
“We need to take her to the hospital”Claudia tells Liam who was a bit confused on what was going on.
“Yeah”He agrees , Claudia shoves Amelia to the back seat as Liam gives her a questioning look.
She sat at the front of the driver seat ushering Liam to get in quickly and he did.
Liam and Claudia got to the hospital with Amelia and immediately a doctor came to attend to them taking Amelia along with them. Liam couldn’t think properly as he was pacing around the hospital wondering what was going on in there and if Amelia will be fine.
Claudia hands him a Starbucks coffee, He thanked her and was about to collect it when the doctor came out.
“How is she a doctor?”Liam eagerly asked immediately as he sighted the doctor.
“She is fine”The doctor announced as Liam breathed out a sigh of relief.
“Can I see her now?” Liam asked, earning the doctor’s approval before going into the room leaving Claudia standing behind dumbfounded a little.
Claudia POV
Gosh the guy I hired is so useless, he couldn’t even do is job well. If I hadn’t gotten there he could have exposed me to Liam I need to take care of him before Liam finds out I was the one behind Amelia’s attack. The universe is definitely not on my side for letting Amelia survive it.
Amelia opens her eyes slowly to see Liam staring at her with relief in his eyes. She gave him a warm smile.
“I’m so happy you are awake teddy, are you okay?” Liam asked her as he caressed her cheek a little.
“I’m fine,”Amelia responded calmly.
Amelia was about to speak when the door opened reviewing Claudia. She gave Amelia the fakest smile ever.
“You are finally awake, Amelia, I’m so happy”Claudia smiles at her.
“What is she doing here?”Amelia questions Liam.
“Liam and I brought you here after you were almost killed by an unknown man”Claudia explains, earning a glare from Amelia.
“Thanks,”Amelia mutters, thanking Claudia.
“No biggie, by the way lia…I mean boss the doctor was asking for you he said he wanted you to sign a form”Claudia tells Liam.
Liam pecks Amelia’s forehead before leaving, Claudia was fuming with rage on seeing Liam action towards Amelia. She closed the door behind Liam before looking at Amelia who was already staring at her.
“I wish you had just died,”Claudia confesses, earning a gasp from Amelia.
“What did you just say?”
