Amelia saw eyes were on her, and mentally scolded herself because people were going to start asking questions which she is not ready for.
“Are you really the boss’s girlfriend?”Claudia questions her, bringing her from thought.
“Oh no no no!”Amelia emphasised on the no and started laughing nervously all of a sudden with coughs in between to clear the tension settled in the room.
“Wait so you are not dating the boss”Mike suspiciously asked.
“No I’m not”She declares clearing off the air.
“Why not?”Mike blurted out, earning a glare from Claudia.
“She isn’t dating the boss okay, the boss obviously isn’t in her league”Claudia rudely remarks while glaring at Amelia.
“Hmm sorry I didn’t catch on to that, are you saying I’m not in his class?”Amelia frowns, feeling a bit annoyed by Claudia’s words.
“That’s exactly what I’m saying honey”Claudia flashes her a smile before rolling her eyes.
“At least she’s way more in his league than you!”Laila fires Claudia from behind.
“I wasn’t talking to you bitch!”Claudia snaps.
“I don’t give a damn”Laila said in between her teeth.
“Miss Cynthia warns this thing or else!”Claudia threatens.
“Or else what huh?”Laila applied pressure wanting to know what she was gonna do.
“That’s enough both of you, no fighting in here remember!”Miss Cynthia reminds them.
Amelia just stared at them astonished a little and shocked. Miss Cynthia walked towards her and held her right shoulder patting it lightly.
“Don’t mind them, okay, you are welcome once again”She gave her a warm smile before leaving.
Claudia scoffs and exits the room with Laila mocking her from behind.
“Did I do anything wrong?”Amelia uttered, confused, referring to Claudia’s rude attitude towards her.
“Nah ignore that slut, she is just mad that you said you were the boss girlfriend”Laila tells her.
“But why?”Amelia frowns.
“You see Claudia as a crush on the boss, I even think she might be obsessed because that girl behaves like a maniac when it comes to him sometimes”Laila explains.
“Well does the boss know about it”Amelia’s curiosity kicks in.
“Ha!”
“She wishes, the boss would barely communicate with any of us and talk less about our feelings,”Laila declared.
Amelia couldn’t stop the small smile that creeped up her lips, she finds it amusing that Liam doesn’t show anyone affection but her.
“He is so cold,”Laila added.
“Okay”Amelia mutters.
“I still kinda find it surprising that he gave you a ride”Laila beckons.
“Why is that?” Amelia grins.
“Well I have never seen the boss with any lady before, rumours are that he might be gay and despise women”Laila whispers.
“Enough of the gossip and get back to work Laila”Mike reprimanded her from behind.
“Who do you think you are huh?”Laila snapped at him.
“You can’t just stay without gossiping, everybody in this office nicknamed you fat mouth”Mike accidentally blurted out.
“How dare you, who came up with the nickname!”Laila barks.
“It was Mike” the lady from behind admits with a computer in front of her that she was working with.
“Why don’t you mind your business and get back to work”Mike scolds her while gesturing at the computer in front of her.
He slowly turns over to see Laila glaring at him. Amelia giggles seeing Laila pulling Mike hair as he Yelp in pain.
“Save me from this witch”Mike begs Amelia.
“I’m sorry but I have some work to do,”Amelia tells him with a smile.
“No one can save you from me , me fat mouth …my mouth isn’t even fat!”Laila yells as she pulls his hair harder.
Amelia was watching Laila and Mike’s little banter while laughing. She saw something from her corner eyes that caught her attention.
“What are you doing?”Amelia questions with her arms crossed.
“What do you mean?”Claudia frowns at her blocking her path towards Liam’s office.
“What is this?”Amelia mutters referring to the cup of coffee on a small plate she was holding.
“I’m going in to give the boss his coffee, he loves his morning coffee”Claudia tells her with a smirk.
“Oh really, okay then I will just take this”Amelia grabs the coffee from her making her mouth open slightly.
“Thank you”She added, making Claudia scoff.
“Why did you collect the cup from me, I didn’t get it for you?”Claudia frowns.
“I know you got it for the boss, but since I’m his secretary not you I will give it to him myself”Amelia gave a small wink before going into the boss office.
Amelia slams the door at Claudia’s face making her stomp her feet to the ground in anger before leaving.
Liam was lost in thought when the door opening caught his attention, he saw Amelia entering his office with a cup of coffee in her hand. She slammed the door behind her making him chuckle a bit before standing up.
“I see you are already doing your job”Liam stated.
“Here”She hands him the cup but he holds her hand with the cup.
She wiggles her hand off his and turns to leave but his words make her halt at her tracks.
“Stay for a while”Liam blurted out before going back to his chair.
“Why should I stay huh?”She snaps.
“What’s wrong with you, are you mad at me or something?”He questions her sudden outburst while taking a sip from his cup.
“No, why will I be mad at you huh?”Amelia forced out with the fakest smile ever.
“Good,”He coldly said.
Amelia scoffs seeing he was totally unbothered about her being mad or not.
“Can I go now boss?”She asked with a little smile.
“Not yet, we have a party to attend tonight”Liam tells her.
“What party?”she asked, confused.
He placed his cup on his desk before standing up. Amelia gulped on seeing him walking towards her , she shifted backwards still he trapped her on the wall. He caressed her neck a little before raising her chin up with his hand.
“I was invited to a valentine theme party, and since it is a couples night I need my girlfriend to be with me” Liam whispers as his hot breath fans her neck.
“Hmm why me?”Amelia unconsciously asked.
“Well that’s because you are mine!” Liam Smirk as he licks and bites her earlobe a bit.
