It was Monday, Amelia got up really early as she went to take her bath. She was so excited that she was finally going to work and not get cramped up in the house.
She immediately went downstairs after finishing up in the bathroom. She looked around the whole house for Liam but there was no sight of him which made her a bit confused and worried.
“Where could he be?”She mutters still searching for him. Amelia was about to check for him in his room when she heard a sound from the kitchen making her halt in her tracks.
A warm smile creeped up her lips as she sighs in relief on seeing him. He was making breakfast for them, she finds his gesture of showing he cares so cute and makes her heart flutter sometimes.
“When did you get here?”He questions her as she stands behind his back, shocked.
“How do you know I was here?”She forced out, still a bit shocked.
“Well I can feel you”He turns and flashes her a smile before returning to what he was doing.
Amelia felt like she was about to collapse, he was making her feel emotions that she couldn’t even explain.
“What are you making?”She innocently asked.
“Scrambled eggs and bacon”He stated walking towards the table. He placed two plates of food on the table before going to the fridge to grab a drink.
“Hmm you know I could have made the breakfast”She declares.
“Well you were sleeping peacefully, didn’t want to disturb you”He tells her .
“Liar, you are still not certain about my cooking”She whines .
“Well you are not wrong”He chuckles, earning a gasp from her.
“How could you?”She frowns with her arms crossed as she turns her back on him.
Liam saw her state and pouts, he walked towards her hugging her from behind.
“Aww Cam-on you know I was just kidding”He confessed.
“Whatever”She scoffs.
“Don’t be mad teddy”He turns her around making her face him.
She looked up to him, staring at her with darkened pupils that looked like he was about to devour her.
“You are so cute!”He mutters.
“Let’s eat,”She nervously uttered.
She was about to walk away towards the table when Liam held her hand from behind making her breathe out heavily.
“Yes”She gulps, not sure on why he was holding her.
“Why are you nervous around me?”He suddenly questions her.
Amelia froze at the spot as they were still backing each other. He turned toward her, still holding on to her hand.
“What do you mean?”She finally managed to ask.
“I don’t know, you have been acting strange ever since that night”He countered.
Amelia couldn’t comprehend what was happening as her brain tried to crack what was going on in his head but couldn’t make her wonder if her secret was still safe.
“I don’t understand”She mutters hoping he will just drop the whole issue.
“Well you tend to flinch anytime I touch you, you are not always confident around me and conscious of your statement which makes me feel like you are keeping something away from me”He admits.
Amelia’s heart dropped down, as the universe were giving her a hint that she was about to be exposed. She shook her head in disapproval she couldn’t just let things go down like this she ought to fix it.
“You are thinking too much,”She tells him.
She wiggled her hand out of his , Liam sighs feeling a bit moody. She turns to look at him, she inhales all the breeze she could possibly inhale before pulling him towards her.
“I love you”She confessed before connecting their lips together.
Liam stumbled back a bit not expecting her to do that, but he held his balance firm before pulling her close to deepen the kiss. Their lips move together in a synchronised way like it was meant for each other. He bites her bottom lips earning a moan from her as her lips slightly opened, Liam used the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth as their tongue both fought for dominance. The kiss became more intense , Liam placed his hands on her waist pulling her close leaving no space in between them.
“We should stop,”She mutters in the kiss, not wanting to stop.
“Hmm”He hummed .
They both pulled away from the kiss with a string of saliva still connecting their lips. Amelia bury her head on his chest a bit shy.
“That was hot”He breathes out earning a groan from her.
“Never knew you were such a good kisser”He teases her.
“That’s enough”she whines, feeling embarrassed by what just transpired between them.
“You should feel proud of yourself, you managed to turn me on with a kiss”He pointed out.
“I’m hungry”she pushed him away before heading to the table, making him chuckle before following her from behind.
“So when do I get to work?”She asked him before shoving bacon into her mouth.
“Today”He simply stated as he pressed his phone.
“Oh that’s great,”She said excitedly.
“Yeah I’m awesome”He boastfully uttered.
“Corky much”She rolls her eyes in a playful manner.
“You love me like that though”He countered.
“I don’t,”she scoffs.
“What?”He frowns a little.
“I don’t love you”She repeats jokingly.
Liam felt like a heavy stone was aimed at his chest and couldn’t stop thinking about how he let his guard down again.
“What’s wrong?”She noticed his mood suddenly changed.
He ignored her and stood up from his chair and left the room leaving his plate of food behind. Amelia mentally curses at herself for deciding to joke, she never expected his reaction to be this as he hasn’t even said he loves her before.
“Liam!”She called out for him but got no response.
Realisation hits Amelia as she covers her mouth when she realises she had called out the name Liam not Andrew. She said a short prayer in her mind hoping he didn’t hear her.
She goes to look for him and saw him in his room all dressed up and sigh in relief. She peered in before pushing the door wide open as it made a loud sound. Liam glance at her direction as she grins but he looked unfazed by what happened and continue with what he was doing.
“So…I …didn’t …. mean…what …. I said…”She stammered.
“Okay”His response was so cold and simple.
She frowns, feeling a bit sad and blaming herself for his attitude.
“So can I go get dressed and follow you?”She cheekily asked.
“Sure”He finds the way she asked funny but holds in his laughter maintaining his cold expression.
“Really yay”She jumps with excitement.
She nervously laughed when she noticed he was glaring at her.
“I go get dressed”She grins before exiting his room.
Liam POV
She seems way to happy upon she knows I’m mad at her, who I’m I kidding I can’t stay mad at her for long. She looked so cute when she jumped up , I wanted to run and give her a big hug but couldn’t . Don’t want her to think she as me wrapped around her fingers and can easily do anything she wants. Having her as my secretary was just an excuse for her to be beside me every-time, Gosh I sound obsessed.
“What’s wrong with me?”He mutters tapping his face.
“I better go get her, don’t wanna be late to work”Liam stated while gazing at his watch.

The car ride was boring as an awkward silent tension settled in the car. Liam eyes were on the road not averting it for a second, Amelia who on the other hand was trying to get his attention but he paid no hitch to her.
“He won’t even look at me,”She complains silently.
Liam stepped on the break as he drove faster making her flinch in shock due to his sudden speed.
Amelia POV
Omg is he trying to get us killed? What’s wrong with him, I mean I was just joking when I said I didn’t love him don’t know why he is reacting like this. I’m not ready to die yet, well that is a bit odd coming from me cause I was the one who tried to end my life some couple of some ago for one useless bastard …. gosh I hate him so much I hope I never run into him again.
Liam increased the speed bringing Amelia from her thoughts as she screamed out loud.
“I don’t wanna die”She yells, making Liam stop at a building.
“We are here”He tells her before coming down from the car.
Amelia butt was glued to the seat as she tried to calm her nerves since the deadly car ride was all over.
Liam tosses his keys to a man in uniform as he catches it before running to the car. He knocks on the glass interrupting Amelia’s thought. She quickly came down from the car and now a little before running after Liam from behind.
Everyone murmurs seeing the famous billionaire Liam Scott coming down from one of his varieties of car’s with a lady.
“Do you think she is his girlfriend?”A lady mutters to her colleagues.
“No way , she is not in his class”Another lady remarked as they all laughed while commenting on Amelia’s body on how skinny she was.
Amelia POV
I felt a bit nervous as all eyes were on me, probably judging and saying bad things about me. Well I’m new here so it’s normal for terrible remarks but I hope they don’t make the mistake of thinking I’m the type they could easily mess with.
“Good morning boss”All the staff in the corridor greeted Liam as their eyes went to Amelia who was standing behind him.
Claudia and Laila came into the room glaring at each other.
“Good morning boss”Claudia said with a bright smile with a latte in her hand.
“Good morning boss”Laila stated with a little bow.
“Good you are all here”Liam firmly stated.
“From now on she will be my new secretary”Liam stated as Amelia came into view from behind waving nervously at them. Liam walked away towards his office leaving Amelia standing there with pairs of eyes on her.
“What the hell!”Claudia frowns as the latte in her hand drops to the ground making Laila chuckle.
“You are welcome darling , what is your name?”Miss Cynthia greets her with a smile.
“Oh I’m Amelia latest”Amelia said returning the smile making Claudia roll her eyes.
“Oh what a beautiful name just like the owner”Mike commented earning a smile from Amelia.
“Have some Shame Mike, I’m Laila and that is Miss Cynthia”Laila pointed to her as Amelia nodded.
“That’s Mike, never take him seriously,”Laila tells her.
“Hey!”Mike yells, making Amelia giggle.
“Oh and that’s Claudia”Laila said pointing to Claudia who was giving Amelia the stink eyes.
“Oh by the way , I saw you coming out of the boss car”Mike tells them as they all stare at Amelia curiously.
Amelia giggled nervously, Claudia walked towards her.
“Who are you to the boss for him to give you a ride?”Claudia suddenly questions her.
“Don’t you think that is her personal business”Miss Cynthia reprimands Claudia silly question.
“What she is new here, I’m sure she won’t mind us asking her a few questions” Claudia claps back before turning to look at Amelia.
“Or do you?”She added.
“No I don’t mind,”Amelia stated.
“Good then, who are you to him?”Claudia repeats.
“That’s enough Claudia, get back to…” Miss Cynthia was cut off by Amelia.
“I’m his girlfriend”Amelia uttered, warning a gasp from everyone in the office.
“What?”Claudia frowns as she glared at Amelia from head to toe.
“I’m his girlfriend”Amelia repeats emphasising on the girlfriend which made Claudia widened in shock.
“No way the boss has a girlfriend” People began to murmur….
