Chapter 70

Book:The Couples' Teen Surrogate Baby Mama Published:2024-6-2

Mr. Dante paces restlessly in his living room alone. He looks like something is bothering him, and just then, the entrance door opens and a young man walks inside. He is graced in black leather trousers and a shirt that clings to his body, he has a face cap on and a black mask that covers the lower part of his face, making his face invisible.
“I’m sorry for coming late, boss,” His voice is muffled by the mask as he speaks.
“I have a job for you, Viper…” Mr. Dante utters before he turns to face the young man. He brings his phone out of his pocket and scrolls through it before he turns the screen to the young man.
“That woman… I want her to be gotten rid of. I will send you every necessary detail you would need about her. I want you to do that tomorrow night, and make sure to leave no trace as usual,” Mr. Dante says to the young man, and he nods his head.
“I will do that, boss,” Viper replies to him, and the corner of his lips slowly twitches into a smirk.
“Good. I will send you half of the payment tonight, and the rest of it when you’re done with the job. Don’t disappoint me, Viper. You won’t want to see the ugly side of me, trust me,” He threatens Viper.
“I promise you, boss… I won’t disappoint you,” Viper utter, before he finally left minutes later.
“I wanted to spare you if you will keep your mouth shut, but you decided to play with fire. Now, watch the fire burn you,” He mutters as he stares into space.
‘How could you have done that? This wasn’t what you promised my friend? Why have you been keeping me away from seeing the children?’
‘I am going to report you to the authorities, Dante. You can’t keep doing this, ok? Who knows what you are hiding?’ her words echo in his head for the fifth time, if not the seventh, and he scoffs as he throws his head back and stares up at the ceiling. She made the mistake of her life to have thought of getting herself involved in this mess, and now that she already poked her nose where it never belonged, she left him with no other choice but to cut the nose away, and even the owner too.
“I won’t let you stand in my way, now that I’m on the verge of getting what I want. I won’t ever allow that!” He mutters as he shakes his head with desperation written all over his face…

Alex glances at his reflection in the mirror one more time before he takes a deep breath. He has made up his mind to go see his supposed mom. Yes, he scheduled an appointment with her tonight, and they should meet at the restaurant where she chose for them to meet.
“Everything will be fine, Alex,” He mutters to his reflection as he grabs his car keys and phone from the bedside table, and with that, he turns and walks out of the room, closing the door behind him.
He drives out of the compound as soon as he arrives at the parking lot, and heads to the restaurant, where she would either wait for the woman or maybe she’s waiting for him there already.
As he drives down the road, many thoughts came conflicting in his mind. He is nervous that he is going to meet his mom for the first time since he was born, and he is not even sure how to feel.
“Don’t think about it, Alex. You made this decision,” He assures himself as he tightens his grip around the steering wheel while driving.
After about twenty minutes of driving, he finally pulls over in front of the restaurant and heads toward the entrance door afterward. He spots her sitting on the other end of the big restaurant while sipping from the glass of red wine she was holding. He feels empty as he stares at her, the urge to turn back from here surges through him as the thought of her never caring about him strikes him hard, but fuck! He also wants to meet her and pour out his heart to her.
“Excuse me,” He utters as he finally walks over to her, and she raises her gaze to look at him, her blue eyes piercing into his, but still, he feels empty. She looks very young for someone that can give birth to Alex, but he quickly concludes that she must just look young for her supposed age. According to his dad, this woman should be about fifty years old, but the woman he is staring at right now doesn’t even look anywhere close to forty-five. Maybe she just has glowing natural skin, or maybe her wealth kept her in check to have this glowy skin.
“Oh, you’re here?” Seeing her smiling at him as if nothing happened is something that was driving him crazy, but he pretends that nothing happened.
“Did I keep you waiting?” He asks as he pulls out the chair opposite him, and sits on it.
“Not really. I got here not quite long. Let’s get this done fast, I have something to attend to back at home,” She utters as she checks her wristwatch before she turns her attention to him.
“So, you asked to see me. Is everything alright?” She asks as her eyes pierce into his, and he feels a sting in his heart at the question. Does she not even recognize him as her son? Is that how much she hated him?
“Why did you abandon me, Mom?” He asks straight, and she raises her eyebrows.
“Mom? Abandoned? Excuse me, what are you talking about?” She blinks her eyes rapidly at him with confusion written all over her.
“Come on, I know you hate me… You don’t want to see me… But denying me even after so many years, don’t you think that is really heartless?” A drop of tears slid down the corner of his cheek as he stares at her with pain and disgust written all over him. He feels his heart hurting from looking at her. Denying him now hurts more than abandoning him for years.
“What are you saying? Are you kidding me? Me? Your mom?” She scoffs as she throws her head back for seconds before she returns her gaze to him again with a deep frown on her face this time.
“What the hell are you saying? I don’t have a son anywhere except with my husband… I have never been married to any other man or lay with any other man before I got married to my husband. So what the hell is this insult about?” She slams her hands on the desk as she springs up to her feet, and he furrows his eyebrows in confusion, wondering what the hell is going on. This is the same woman his dad told him was his mom, the same woman he has been working hard to be successful so he can finally meet her, so what the hell is she saying now?
“Look at me, can I even give birth to you? You look like you are almost thirty, and I am just forty-three, so how the hell would I give birth to you? I couldn’t have gotten pregnant before fifteen, yeah?” She snaps at him for the second time, but the only thing he could do is wallow in confusion. It couldn’t be that his dad lied to him, right?
“I’m sorry, I think there is a mix-up somewhere,” He utters as he springs up to his feet, turning to leave.
“Hey, where do you think you are going, huh?” He yells at him, and he stops on his track.
“You think you can just bring me out here like that and leave just like that? You wasted my time and my energy here. You…”
“Here is my card, miss. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience this might’ve caused you. I will try and make it up to you. I have something to attend to right now. I hope you understand,” He hands her his card before he storms out of the restaurant, and once he is out, he hops inside his car and drives off. The woman rushes out to see him already gone, and he sighs briefly.
“That’s crazy, for real,” She mutters…
