On the third morning, Selena prepared everything, left the flower room, and drove to the Olympus Group. The International Scents Competition was gaining momentum, creating a different atmosphere throughout Creephia.
Wearing high heels, Selena entered the perfumery department. At the lift, she encountered Mandy and others who had just returned from the qualification trials. Seeing Selena, they froze but forced respectful greetings, “Lady Selena.”
Selena, devoid of emotion, nodded and entered the lift. As she left, the group’s faces sank. The Olympus Group valued strength, and Selena, perceived as benefiting from nepotism, wasn’t well-liked, especially with her history of being banned.
Mandy, the third runner-up from the last International Scents Competition, had to participate in selection rounds like newcomers due to the mockery she faced. Selena, despite her tainted career, bypassed these rounds, advancing to the finals of the domestic perfume competition. Though many in the perfumery department were angry for Mandy, no one dared speak against Selena due to Luke’s support.
The group discussed, “Let’s see how Lady Selena, praised by Mr. Jordon, fares in this competition.” Trying to console Mandy, they said, “Don’t be sad; Mr. Noch is your teacher, and your hard work will make you the winner.”
Mandy, indifferent, warned, “Stop it. If Mr. Jordon and Lady Selena hear, it won’t be good.” The group reluctantly stayed silent.
When Selena entered the office, Luke and Olympus Group’s shareholders were already waiting. She sat beside Luke, smiling brightly. Luke, noticing her good mood, teased, “Lady Selena, won’t you miss your boyfriend after being away for so long?”
Selena blinked and replied seriously, “When I went to Tonyan Town to shoot a movie, I didn’t even miss him for half a month. Why should I miss him in seven days?” Luke was speechless.
After the meeting, Luke announced a reception at the Sophia Hotel that night. The women cheered, hoping for romance with the flirtatious Mr. Jordon. Luke asked Selena if she wanted to join, implying closeness. She declined, saying she was going back to say goodbye to her boyfriend and confidently added, “I believe, I don’t lose.” Unconcerned about others’ opinions, Selena left, leaving the crowd stunned.
She drove back to the castle, finding Osvaldo working. Osvaldo welcomed her without the need to knock, expressing his territory’s openness. Selena, informing him of her departure, and learning he would also leave, said, “I’ll definitely come back with a trophy.” Osvaldo nodded, and Selena bid him goodbye.
The next morning, Selena, accompanied by Leia, joined Olympus Group’s participants on a plane to M City for the competition.
Meanwhile, the news of Selena’s departure reached Christ. He commented on Osvaldo’s audacity for letting her leave under his watch. Christ decided against going to M City, and Isabel, learning Selena had left, harbored ill intentions.
The chapter concludes with Isabel contemplating Selena’s fate now that she’s outside Creephia, aware of the potential consequences if Christ discovers Selena’s identity as the carnelian owner. Isabel left silently.
