Alice had never seen him like this from the time she met him, and today God knows why but she was a little scared and she said “his name is tony, I love tony”
Alex was stunned to hear her answer, for a moment he didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.
Alex looked at her and said, “Are you an Idiot?”
Alice frowned and had a confused look. Seeing this Alex asked, “why are you wearing that couple pendant?”
Alice looked at him and said “Tony gave it to me, I can’t lose it”
Alex hugged her immediately and said “I knew, you can never love anyone else”
Alice tried to push him but his hold was getting tight only, so she surrendered and said “what do you mean?”
Alex cupped her face, he had a smile on his face and he said: “idiot, you remember my name but you don’t remember my face?”
Alice looked at him; she was not able to understand what he was saying. He continued “Alice, I am your Tony”
She was shocked for a moment and said “why should I trust you and your name is Alexander Williams, not Tony, don’t fool around”
He smiled and said “The name which I told you was given as nickname from my mother and only my parents know this name”
Alice asked him “then why didn’t you tell me your real name?”
Alex tugged her hair behind her ears and said “because, when I saw you for the first time I fell in love with you but I don’t want you to love me for money like other girls, so I told you my nickname and also told you that I am from ordinary family”
Alice was silent for a moment and said “why should I trust you, I did lose some memory after my accident and I don’t remember your face”
Alex said “no problem, once you are fine and discharged from hospital I will show you some videos which my Dad use to make when I was kid, in that videos they always address me as Tony”
After saying that he also showed the couple pendant which he was wearing, it was the other part of the pendant.
It was basically a pendant in a heart shape but there was space in one corner for a key and the key was in Alex’s chain.
After seeing the pendant she felt touched that he was also wearing the pedant like her.
She just nodded; she wanted some time to digest all this information. Few of which she remembers and few she doesn’t, also the fact that the person whom she loved from the core of her heart without remembering his face is now an engaged playboy.
Alex saw her expression and thought of giving her some time to adjust the truth so she didn’t say anything.
No one spoke for the entire evening. Alex got busy in his files sitting on the sofa next to Alice’s bed.
Soon it was dinner time, Joy brought food for both of them, arranged their table and bowed respectfully and left.
Alex stood and brought one plate to Alice’s bed and sat at her side and picked a spoon full of food and brought it to her mouth.
She immediately said “it’s fine I can do it myself”
Alex didn’t put the food down and only said “eat it” his voice was more like a command.
Alice didn’t have any other option and opened her mouth, after eating for a while she blurted out “you feed all your girlfriends and your fiancé like this?” she regretted it immediately, she didn’t want to ask this but still she lost control of her emotions and blurted out.
She was feeling very jealous of the thought of Alex being with anyone else.
Alex stopped for a moment after hearing her question and said “the first thing I never had girlfriend, they were all just sex partners and I Alex Williams never do these things for anyone else, apart from you”
Alice didn’t say anything, just ate her food and tried to sleep, but she was not feeling sleepy, Alex being engaged was the thing bothering her.
After fighting for almost fifteen-twenty minutes, she sat the bed and said “Alexander Williams, I think we cannot go back, where we were, you are an engaged man and I don’t want to be the third wheel”
“So it’s better we part away our paths”
Alex heard her word to word but didn’t say anything and continued working.
After not getting any reply from him, she thought that he agreed with her statement. It hurt in her heart but she tried to control her emotions, she again lay back on the bed and turned her back towards Alex.
Her eyes were teary but she tried her best not to cry but her tears rolled down her cheeks. She cried silently.
After fighting for very long with her thoughts she dozed off.
It was almost midnight when Alex finished his work, he went to her bed and slipped inside the comforter and pulled Alice gently in his arms.
She hugged him back and slept in his arms as if it was the best and most comfortable place in the world.
He looked at her face and mumbled “I will make my action speak you can never leave me”
Both were sleeping peacefully, but all of sudden Alex felt Alice’s body moving, trembling and she was mumbling “I don’t know where the key is, please don’t beat me, and please don’t do anything to my Mom”
She was continuously mumbling these words her forehead had a thin layer of sweat, Alex tried to wake her up “Alice, Alice baby get up, see I am here no one will touch you, wake up baby”
After almost trying for ten minutes Alice woke up and the moment her eyes fell on Alex, she hugged him tightly with teary eyes and said “Tony, please don’t leave me”
