After the death of his parents and maternal grandmother, he always felt that he was alone in this world.
He didn’t have any family, he was all alone.
But after meeting Alice, he felt like he got his world back, he has someone whom he can call family.
She will be the person with whom he will have many children; they will have their own family.
Thought of having family crept a smile on his face as if he was visualizing his family picture, where he and Alice were sitting in the middle and lots of children surrounded them.
He opened his eyes slowly with a smile and his hands were searching for the person who should be lying at his side but that space was empty, he opened his eyes wide and didn’t find Alice on the bed.
The first thing that came to his mind was the way she was fighting with him, and asking him to let her go. It was like was trying to protect herself for someone.
But he had already lost his control, and he was not able to stop himself.
At this moment he thought that was it like Alice had fallen in love with someone else in this time period when he was not around, and that was the reason she was protesting continuously and was not ready to give up till last.
At first, he thought that for the first time he made love to the love of his life, but at this moment when he remembers her struggle, he felt like he raped her.
He panicked for a moment and stood up from bed in a hurry and was about to open the door of the bedroom when he heard the sound of running water.
After listening to it, his sigh in relief, he thought Alice was inside so he would wait. He sat on the bed wearing his sweatpants.
Fifteen minutes passed but Alice didn’t come out. Now he was having a feeling that something is not right, he went to the bathroom door and knocked on the door calling out her name.
He knocked on the door for almost ten minutes but he didn’t get any response. Now he panicked and started banging the door more forcefully but still no response from inside.
He brought the spare key immediately and opened the door.
The sight in front of his eyes stopped his heartbeat.
He saw Alice lying in the bathtub lifeless, her wrist was slit and blood was oozing, turning the bathtub water red.
Her face was pale and the bathtub was full of red water.
He immediately rushed to her and picked her in his arms. She was lifeless, with no response, no movement. Her face was pale as a white sheet and it was painful to see her like that.
He never thought that the moment he would get his love, he might lose her.
He rushed to the hospital only in his sweatpants. He had never panicked in his life but today he was trembling only with the thought of losing Alice.
Alice was admitted in an emergency, Joy brought clothes for Alex. Seeing Alex walking back and forth and worry was visible on his face.
Joy had seen his boss like this for the first time. He has been working with him for the last ten years and he was still calm when he lost his parents.
But at this moment Joy thought about an old saying “Magician’s life in parrot” and his boss is the magician and Alice was the parrot where his life was.
Alex changed his clothes and came back out of the emergency room.
After the doctor came Alex immediately rushed to him and asked him “how is she?”
The doctor removed his mask and said “luckily the cut on her wrist was not deep and she had less blood loss, so she is safe now, but she is very weak you have to take a lot of care of her, we will move her to her ward in some time” after saying this doctor walked away.
After sometime Alice was transferred to the VVIP ward, it was not like a hospital ward, it was more like a presidential suite of seven-star hotels.
Alice woke up in the evening when she opened her eyes she felt someone holding her hand.
She looked down and found Alex sitting on the chair next to her bed; he was sleeping holding her hands.
Alice tried to pull her hands back, sensing the movement Alex woke up.
Seeing Alice awake he was very happy, he immediately stood from the chair and kissed Alice’s forehead cupping her face and said “thank god you are safe”
Alice tried to turn her face but his hold grew tight and he made her look into his eyes and asked “why did you do this?”
Alice said angrily “because of you”
Alex frowned and said, “because of me?”
Alice replied “yes”
Alex sat next to her said asked “how, am I responsible for this”
Alice turned her face from him and said “you spoiled me, you took away my virginity, now how am I supposed to marry the person I love”
Alex’s face turned gloomy and he said arrogantly “you love someone?”
Alice looked into his eyes and replied in the same tone in which he asked the question “why I can’t love someone”
Alex holds her chin tightly and said “no, you cannot love someone apart from me, you are meant for me, and only me”
Alice slapped his hands and said “I can love anyone, but not a playboy like you”
Alex thought for a moment and asked “who is he?”
He thought the moment she told him the name he would kill that person with his own hands.
Alice turned her face away and said “Why should I tell you, you already did dirty things to me, I don’t want to see you get lost”
Alex just looked at her face, he thought that his Alice would love him only, if she loves someone then why is wearing the couple pendant which he had given her seven years back.
He tried to control his anger but still, his face looked dangerous and he asked word by word “don’t let me repeat myself, tell me who he is?”
