When he asked me what I wanted to happen, I was tempted to demand that he forbid Kate from coming to the hotel. However, I knew he wouldn’t agree with what I wanted, and I would end up looking like the antagonist.
“She should no longer be allowed to sleep here. It’s awkward having her in the next room while we’re here together,” I said, but he just laughed it off. Here I was feeling down about what happened, and he just laughed at me.
“Are you afraid she’ll hear us? You’re so loud,” the guy teased.
“Hey! That’s not what I meant. Real talk, Sam. It’s just weird having your ex, whom you used to love so much, in the next room,” I told him.
“Okay, I’ll talk to her later,” Samer promised.
“Why later? Do it now!” I ordered him to call her and talk to her about the sleeping arrangement.
“She’s still with the kids, Jamie. I don’t want her to be in a bad mood while she’s with Khaleel and Ameerah,” Samer explained.
“I wish everyone would still be concerned about their ex,” I copied Rhea’s line.
“It’s not like that, but it’s just that I feel bad if Kate is not in the mood,” the man explained.
I understood what he meant and what he was trying to convey, but I couldn’t bring myself to agree. It’s still heavy on my heart that Kate could disturb us anytime. “Okay, fine. Just make sure that her constant visits won’t hurt me, Samer. You know me; I don’t want any competition for your heart,” I warned him.
“I promise, you’re the only one I love now, Jamie. Whatever happened between Kate and me in the past, it’s over. Past is past,” Samer explained.
I let out a deep sigh because I knew that even if we talked for hours, nothing would change.
“Okay, I understand. By the way, Rhea and I will go to Stonewick tomorrow,” I told him. Even though Rhea hasn’t talked to the LGU yet, I knew she could arrange a job fair there for the next day. Samer’s forehead furrowed, and I had a feeling I knew what he was going to say.
“To Stonewick? Why?”
I couldn’t help but observe the way his jaw moved as he asked why I was going to Stonewick.
“Job Fair. Khalifa’s opening there is approaching, so I need to go and choose employees,” I explained.
“Who will accompany you?” he inquired.
“Rhea,” I replied.
“I’ll come along,” he said.
“You’re not okay yet. The doctor said you need a few more days to rest,” I reminded him.
“Brent is from Stonewick, Jamie. He might bother you,” he said.
I just rolled my eyes at what he said because I know how to stop Brent. Besides, the man is already married.
“Whatever happened between me and Brent before is in the past. Past is past,” I said to him, but he didn’t like that I copied what he said earlier when we argued about Kate.
“I don’t trust that guy!” Samer insisted.
“Same here. I don’t trust Kate either,” I said.
“Kate’s situation is different, Jamie,” Samer defended the woman.
“What’s the difference? They’re both part of our past,” I said.
“She’s the mother of my children,” Samer insisted.
“Hmmm, maybe I should get pregnant with Brent’s child to understand your logic,” I joked, but he suddenly jumped from the bed and came towards me. “Isn’t your body still painful?” I asked him.
“What did you say? Get pregnant with Brent’s child? Try it, and I might kill that guy!”
“Kill? But you didn’t get back at him when you fought before,” I teased him, but before he could get a high blood pressure attack, I hugged him tightly. “I love only you now, and I’m happy with you,” I said to him. “Are you really okay now?” I asked him.
“Is what you said true?”
“I’ll prove it,” I said, challenging him to a banter, but of course, it was just a joke. I still have a lot to do downstairs.
“How?” he asked.
“PM sent,” I playfully replied, and he immediately furrowed his forehead because he didn’t understand what I said. “What does PM sent mean?” he asked.
“Nothing. I just said you look handsome now even though you’re injured,” I teased him again, but my heart almost jumped when he hugged me and carried me to the bed.
“What are you thinking? Be patient, Samer! I still have work downstairs, and I have an appointment after lunch,” I told him.
“What am I thinking?” he asked me.
“Come on, stop pretending! There, your shorts have a bulge,” I said and pointed out what I noticed.
Instead of feeling embarrassed, the guy just grinned and immediately lowered his shorts. It’s not that I didn’t want it, but I just wanted to tease him. Using the comforter, I quickly wrapped myself, with only my head sticking out. I looked like a spring roll in what I did, but it was worth it when I saw his face turn red with anger. When I noticed his nose smoking with rage, I quickly removed the wrapped comforter. “Here!!” I said to him as I waved my panties, which I had removed.
“Fast, huh?” he chuckled.
“Of course, you might change your mind,” I said and then got up from the bed to hug him while standing. “Just remember that I love you very much,” I said while both my hands were wrapped around his neck.
As Sam lowered his face towards mine, I no longer played hard to get and welcomed his kiss. I first sucked his lower lip, but he didn’t back down and also sucked my lips.
Just from the kiss, I was already overwhelmed with desire, so I lowered one of my hands and explored his muscular chest, then down to his stomach, until I reached the part of his body that was burning with heat.
Sam tensed as I touched him there. However, he didn’t leave my lips. He continued to assault me with his tongue until he got tired, and then he moved to my neck. He slightly nibbled on my neck, as if trying to find where he could pierce it.
His mouth gradually went down to my chest, and I moaned when I felt him gently bite my breast. What he did was slightly painful, and I knew he left a mark.
“Sam…” I called his name when he covered one of my breasts. I shivered, and that was the last thing I remembered before he laid me down on the bed.
