Observing Shen Qieyi’s inability to meet Mo Yirou’s gaze directly, Mo Yirou let out a disdainful huff, unimpressed by Shen Qieyi’s lack of confidence.
As Mo Yirou signaled one of her following nurses, the nurse immediately understood and took action. “Hey, get up and give way. Can’t you see that we want these seats?”
The leading nurse yelled with a threatening look.
Lin Zhi was petrified hearing that. She then placed down her spoon and got up.
Shen Qieyi saw her getting up and followed suit.
Feeling satisfied with her winning, the arrogant nurse walked toward the table, passing Lin Zhi. However, Mo Yirou unexpectedly stretched out her hand and pushed her.
The push had the nurse to stagger and lose her balance resulting in the dish falling off her hand and splashing everything on Lin Zhi’s back.
Shen Qieyi witnessed the whole process without being able to react fast enough to help while Lin Zhi screeched out of pain.
She flew into a rage and quickly walked toward Lin Zhi, who was aghast. Shen Qieyi stood in front of Lin Zhi and pushed Mo Yirou’s shoulder. She warned, “This is outrageous! You have gone too far.”
Shen Qieyi couldn’t help but speak out even though she was raised strictly to adhere to her public etiquette.
Mo Yirou didn’t expect Shen Qieyi to be so furious. She felt satisfied that she had successfully provoked Shen Qieyi and showed a smile of satisfaction.
She angrily slammed her plate on the table, knocking Shen Qieyi’s dish to the floor.
The loud sound attracted everyone’s attention.
Shen Qieyi scowled and stared at Mo Yirou before she said, “Just vent your anger on me. Please refrain from dragging innocent parties into this matter.”
Mo Yirou responded in a coquette manner, “Of course not. You’re my good sister. How can I be angry with you?”
With a cold expression, Shen Qieyi shook off Mo Yirou’s hand that was reaching for her.
Even though Mo Yirou was pretty good at acting, she could not hide the hatred in her eyes.
Standing behind, Lin Zhi reached out her hand, trying to stop Shen Qieyi from provoking her further. “Qieyi, enough… please let this go.”
Shen Qieyi was worried that Mo Yirou might be splashed by the soup. As she faintly heard Mo Yirou crying, she had no desire to continue the argument. She pressed her fingers against the edge of the table with her eyes full of resentment.
“You used to love pretending to be my good sister, but why don’t you now?”
“Mo Yirou, you no longer have to waste your effort on me.”
“I’m divorced.”
“Take my advice. It’s probably best for you to put all your effort into seducing him. That’s probably the main priority now, isn’t it?”
Shen Qieyi continued saying with a fake smile.
Mo Yirou was surprised by the news. She tightly grabbed Shen Qieyi’s hand and uttered, “Is it true? That you are divorced?”
“It is what you wished for. Pity you wasted so much effort pleasing me for a long time.”
