She could not express her current feelings.
Shen Qieyi really loved Fu Yao, loved him so blindly. She even begged to use the family’s power to tie him to her.
At the beginning of their marriage, she knew that he was tenaciously rejecting all this, but Shen Qieyi intended to use time to change his feelings.
If one used their heart to give warmth, even ice would melt. However, Fu Yao did not respond at all, even increasingly rejected her.
She watched him bring back more and more women, all of them who ridiculed and insulted her.
Until now, Shen Qieyi had forgotten that her love for him had been worn away.
She even forgot the purest time they spent with each other in the beginning.
Shen Qieyi’s heart was filled with clarity. On the road ahead, she would be alone.
She tried her best to maintain a dignified manner, thanked the lawyer, and walked out of the lawyer’s office.
The sun was shining brightly, and she reached out to block the dazzling sunshine.
The back of her hand felt cold, she touched her cheek.
It turned out that she still couldn’t help but cried sadly. After all, it was a love that she longed for but destroyed by herself.
At six o’clock in the afternoon, Fu’s Group.
The door of the conference room opened and the long-time meeting ended. A group of people swarmed out.
At the end of the line, Fu Yao took his pad and strode forward as he gave his orders. The people around him also hurried to take notes.
His personal assistant came forward and took the document from him. “Mr. Fu.”
Fu Yao stopped and glanced at him, not stopping to speak.
After Jian Er Ming told him the whole story, Fu Yao sent his subordinate away and walked to the office.
The assistant quickly replied, “I received a private mail for you two hours ago and put it on your desk.”
The phone in his pocket rang. Fu Yao nodded as he received the call and walked into the office.
Sitting in his seat, he wearily lit a cigarette.
The person on the other end of the phone was talking, but he just said “yes” from time to time without extra words.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the mail quietly placed in the corner of the table. With a cigarette in his mouth, he reached out his long hand to grab it.
There was also the subordinate who was still reporting in his ears emotionlessly.
Fu Yao took a deep drag on his cigarette and put it out in the ashtray.
He played with the mail with his hands, turning over and over, and finally opened it.
It was very empty, only three or four pages, pulled out, and the thick paper title attracted his attention – divorce agreement.
The phone was hung up without warning, and the subordinate on the other side was at a loss.
Fu Yao carefully read the contents, not even letting go of the punctuation marks until the end.
He rubbed his thumb against Shen Qieyi’s signature.
The characters in the small characters were delicate and eye-catching.
Fu Yao recalled these days and couldn’t figure out when she started to talk about it.
Staring at her signature and imagining her expression, Fu Yao sneered.
He tore up all the papers with a deadpan expression, crumpled them together, and threw them into the trash can.
Shen Qieyi’s efforts turned into a pile of waste paper instantly.
Fu Yao sat where he was and quietly inhaled two cigarettes, unable to conceal the hatred that had accumulated in his chest.
He sprang to his feet and rushed out the door with his jacket in hand.
The assistant, who was about to knock on the door, faced him head-on. He could not speak for a moment as he looked at the fierce expression on Fu Yao’s face.
He turned around and saw Fu Yao slowly closing the elevator. The assistant could only stamp his feet on the spot.
The important meeting was about to start, but the big boss left!
He went straight to the underground parking lot, and soon the sports car ran out.
When Fu Yao got home, he opened the door and found it was deserted. It was only evening but it was quiet.
He went straight to the second floor and pounded the door of Shen Qieyi’s bedroom loudly. “Shen Qieyi!”
Hearing the noise, Zhangma, who was in the backyard, hurried upstairs.
When she saw Fu Yao standing outside Shen Qieyi’s door, she was a little surprised. “Sir, why are you back?”
“Open the door.” Fu Yao said aggressively.
Zhangma was afraid that it was an emergency. Trembling, she took out the key and opened the door.
Fu Yao walked in first.
Standing in front of him was a suitcase. He glanced at it quickly and cursed softly.
The damn woman had packed up everything.
Zhangma was also shocked. What had happened between them? Shen Qieyi ran away from home.
“Where is she?” Fu Yao turned to look at Zhangma.
“Madam… answered a phone call and went out. She said that the Fu Laoye asked her to have dinner…” Zhangma stumbled and recalled.
“Before going out, there was nothing unusual about Madam…”
Fu Yao laughed coldly. She was heartless. For her, even divorce was not enough to cause her to act unusual.
Fu Yao turned around and left. He stood in front of the gate and watched the pouring rain. Before Zhangma could find an umbrella, he had rushed into the rain.
Fu Clan’s estate.
Just after dinner, Fu Laoye was not in a hurry to go back to the room to rest. He sat in the living room and looked at a group of people laughing.
Shen Qieyi, who was closest to him, was holding a clingy little princess in her arms, patiently coaxing her to eat fruit.
The old man looked at her with a smile and asked, “How have you been with Fu Yao lately?”
Shen Qieyi was stunned when she heard that. She looked back at her and said, “We are very good. Grandpa, you can rest assured.”
“I know young people always say good things but not bad ones. You are far away from me, and there are few places where I can take care of you. You guys have to work hard and lead a good life.”
The old tutor exhorted her earnestly.
“Fu Yao is stubborn. I don’t know who he took after. He is very strong-willed. I know that when you are together with him, you must have been more tolerant towards him.”
Fu Laoye was kind and wise, patting Shen Qieyi’s shoulder to encourage her.
After a whole day, even though Shen Qieyi’s heart hurt when she talked to Fu Laoye, he was actually someone who treated her the best.
She was so guilty that she dared not look directly at the old man. She would not live up to his entrustment and expectation.
Afraid of revealing her emotions, Shen Qieyi just nodded, hurriedly bowed her head and kissed the little princess, tears falling out of her eyes.
The old man had always liked Shen Qieyi, he was always generous with his compliments to her in front of everyone.
The old man, who had lived his life for so long could easily see the grievance in her disguise.
He simply pretended and did not expose her lies.
Shen Qieyi gathered herself together to chat with the old man. She didn’t know when it would be next time.
Suddenly, a cry came from the door. “Hey! Why are you all wet! Come in, come in.”
Everyone turned to look at the source of the sound. It was Fu Yao who had braved the rain.
At a glance, Fu Yao saw Shen Qieyi Yi sitting at the very back. Their gazes met.
Shen Qieyi was surprised. She took the lead in looking away and felt her heart beating faster.
Fu Yao ignored the towel that the servant quickly handed over. He just stared at Shen Qieyi’s profile and walked straight toward her.
Under the watchful eyes of the public, he did not allow Shen Qieyi to resist and pull her up, striding to the second floor’s room.
Fu Yao grabbed Shen Qieyi’s wrist and walked up the stairs without pity.
Shen Qieyi’s face was full of resistance as she faced him against the railing. For a moment, the two of them stared at each other back in silence.
