It was morning already and the sun was already out, smiling. It smiled at Rose through the window as she rolled on the bed.
Few minutes later, she could perceive some aroma coming from the kitchen, it looked as if it was a fried chicken. She saw the colk who offered her some part of the chicken as she collected and took a bite. The chicken was tasty and it was obvious that she wasn’t satisfied yet. She needed more! It was so obvious.
After sometime, she could see that same hand being stretched out, offering her another meat as she rushed it and took countless bite from it.
Mr. Evidence watched her and couldn’t believe the very scene.
“She eats human now?” He asked, not minding if the sleeping girl would hear him.
Rose noticed someone speak, she heard a voice and it sounded familiar.
“She is a human eater?.”
She heard the voice again and decided to reply. Only for her to open her eyes and saw Mr. Evidence’s hand inside her mouth and then realize that all this while, she was dreaming. As she saw his hand inside her mouth, she wondered if she had been biting his hand all this while.
“You now eat human beings?” He asked again.
Rose immediately stood up and distanced his hand from her mouth as she asked.
“Why did you put your hand inside my mouth?” She asked angrily.
“As soon as I came inside your room, I sat close to you and I stretched out my hand to wake you up when boom! You grabbed my hand, took my finger and placed it inside of your mouth. So you eat humans? Heh! Human eater. ” He said, Laughing and taunting her.
“I don’t eat human, and i am not a human eater!” She said and crawled from her lying position to the edge of the bed. As she tried stepping out of the bed, Mr. Evidence lifted her up and was heading towards the bathroom.
“I will bathe you today, now it’s time to bathe. Today is friday, myself and you will be going out. “You are arrogant and naughty,” you remember that statement right? Well, it’s today. ”
“Huh!” She widened her eyes. ” Just bring me down,”
Mr Evidence was about reaching the restroom when he felt a little dizzy and tried to fall. But he was so quick to regain his balance as he dropped her inside the restroom.
“Don’t bathe me, I am not a baby, I can bathe myself.” She instructed.
Mr. Evidence didn’t Argue with her this time, he was still feeling dizzy, so he agreed to what she had said without saying a word against it.
“Ok! Fine! You can bathe yourself but next time you eat my hand again, I will bathe you.”
He said as he wondered if he could really wait for her to eat his hand first before he bathe her. He knew he couldn’t wait. So he decided to change his statement.
“Next time, I will bathe you and nothing you would say would make me change my mind.”
Rose didn’t reply to him as she shut the restroom door.
Mr. Evidence Smirked and tried walking to take a seat on the bed so he could wait for her when he suddenly staggered and fell. He wondered what was happening to him. He tried standing again but he couldn’t. He tried to remember where he had dropped his phone but nothing seemed to work. His brain went blank, he started to struggle to breath. Still on the floor, he sighted where his phone was as he struggled to crawl to that direction.
After struggling for 4 minutes, he finally got to where his phone was as he called Mike his Most trusted man. Mike started working for Mr. Evidence when he was 20 years old and due to how long he had been with Mr. Evidence, he became his closest guard.
On the phone…
“Come and meet me in Rose’s room,” he ended the call.
Mike who picked the call knew that something was wrong, he noticed how weak his voice was as he rushed down to meet with Mr. Evidence.
He knocked but no one responded as he hurriedly pushed the door open. He saw his boss lying down on the floor helpless as he got scared and rushed towards him.
Mike was huge and also had 6 packs like Mr. Evidence so assisting Mr Evidence to the car wasn’t an issue. He raised Mr. Evidence up and tried to help him walk. They walked towards the car, as they accelerated to the hospital. No one was able to see them leave because everyone was so busy.
Mike was seated at the Driver’s seat while Mr. Evidence was seated at the passenger’s seat with a seat belt still unconscious. Mike drove as fast as he could and when they finally reached the hospital, he signalled the nurses that were at the hospital compound as they rushed Mr Evidence and took him straight inside the hospital in one of the rooms.
At Evidence’s House…
After twenty minutes, Rose was already done bathing, she came out of the bathroom and walked towards the wardrobe to dressup. She saw so many new dresses. She picked the one she wanted and wore them. Since she didn’t see her boss, she concluded that he must have gone downstairs.
After dressing, she strolled down to the dinning to see if she could see Mr. Evidence but there was no trace of him. She looked at the dining table and saw the meal arranged for just one person when she heard a voice.
“Good morning ma’am, that’s your breakfast, boss had told me early this morning to prepare you this.” She bowed.
Annabel nodded, signifying that she heard what she had said as she went to the dinning to eat her breakfast.
“Where is your boss?” She asked.
“No idea ma’am.”
“Okay.” She said and started to devour her meal.
