At the luxurious Eatery,
“Call her again. I’m getting scared now. Are you sure she is okay?”
“Don’t mind that condom girl, she is very okay and I’m sure she’s gonna catch up soon.”
Mara gave Annabel a silly look.
“Even in this public place, you still won’t behave yourself? I’m sure Rose must have gotten used to you.”
“Hehehe…”
“But Seriously, don’t you think you should call her again? She had said she would join us soon but it’s almost 1 hour now and she isn’t here yet.”
Annabel decided to listen to Mara’s suggestions and decided to dial Rose’s number. It was obvious that she called countless times but no one had picked up the call.
“She isn’t picking up. Now, I’m worried.”
The both girls stood from their seats as they tried going to search for Rose when they saw her approach them from the behind.
“You scared the hell out of me. Where were You? Annabel asked.
“I’m so sorry. Just that I got into a little trouble but…”
“Trouble? Omg. But What? Are you okay? Did anyone hurt You? Where is your phone? Was it stolen, where did you keep it? And why are you looking stressed?” Annabel asked, putting on a mother hen attitude. “But What? Answer me.”
“But I’m okay now.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I am.”
Annabel and Mara walked closer to her, trying to survey her body. Just making sure she was okay.
“Take a seat.” Annabel instructed.
The 3 girls sat as they discussed.
“Rose, Annabel told me you found a man. Or rather, a man found you. Hehehehe. Which should I Believe?”
“Huh? A man?” She asked and looked at Annabel.
“I’m sure you told her that. Right?”
“Yah yah.”
“She even said you rejected an offer worth 7 million for monthly payment.”
“Hmmmm, yes I did.”
“Yes, she found a man and I’m sure she must have gone to see that cute CEO. He is so fine! I wonder why I wasn’t the one he gave that offer to. Trust me babe, you know what I can do Right?”
“Hey! You ‘re spoiled! But well, I accepted it.”
“Huh?” Mara and Annabel were surprised as they looked at each other with a naughty smile curved on their faces and lips.
“Emmm. When did you accept it? The last time I checked, I’m sure you last went there yesterday so… do you want to say anything else?”
“I accepted it today.”
“Oh. My. God!. Mara, did you hear that? She accepted it today? I knew it! I knew she had gone to see her condom CEO. Hehehe.”
“Hmmmmmm, I see. you accepted it today, huh? hmmm, what else do you want to tell us?” Asked Mara.
“He said I’ll be attending a party with him and that my work has started.”
“Huh? A party with him?” Both girls asked and nodded at the same time and gave Rose a silly look. “I see.” They both said.
“And? Alright, I have lost my patience girl, so now you have to talk.” Annabel narrowed her eyes around.
“Nothing much. He only took my number and said he was going to send me the address of the event so I could come and meet him.”
“Hmm. I see. But why did you finally accept the offer?” Asked Mara.
“Let’s forget about the reason. I’m here now so let’s party. Hehehe.”
three of the girls laughed as they ordered something to eat.
“So can you remind me of your condom CEO’s name?” Asked Mara.
“Huh? Even You? You ‘ve joined Annabel now?”
“His name is Mr. Evidence. You should know him because he is famous.”
“Yeah. Maybe I do know him.”
“His face is irresistible. I could still see his face right in front of me.”
“Huh? Irresistible? His face, right in front of You? Now I know you’re hiding something.”
“Yes, I’m with you. She’s hiding something.”

Rose’s response made Annabel and Mara pout but was quick to bounce back in being excited as they asked her about how it happened. Rose was quick to tell her how it happened but of course she didn’t tell her about the drama that happened, about how her hand trembled in fear when he had held her neck.
“The man, he is super handsome. I don’t even know if he is real because his beauty is something else. He is irresistible.
“Wow, I am dying in curiosity, this is the first time you praise a man’s look, you know?” Said Mara.
“Yeah, me too. I’m surprised.” Annabel added.”
“oh, is that so?” She Smiled.
“hello…. You never cared about men even during our time in school, I know how you turn them down. So now Rose, tell me what are you going to do? You will be attending a party with him soon. Oh my God! So romantic.”
Annabel was so damn intrigued and she looked like she was very much more animated about this than Rose.
“You ‘ve forgotten I’m his caregiver and not his wife or girlfriend?”
Rose looked down, her hand wrapped round the mineral bottle, she looked like she was considering something vital in her head while Annabel and Mara were impatiently waiting for her.
” i….” Rose started as she looked up to Annabel and Mara looking serious.
“I think I’m liking him. Take note! I said “like and not love.”
“Someone is in love. Even though they pretend not to be, it’s so obvious that we are still going to find out.” Annabel said.
For a while, Annabel and Mara gaped at her. They were very shocked and couldn’t believe what they just heard but immediately they recovered themselves, a huge and loving smile curved up on their faces.
Annabel and Mara were very happy and proud like a happy mother who had just witnessed her child walk on her own or talk for the first time.
Few hours later, they all departed.
