“You’re here?” Daniel spoke , walking closer to her .
“Yes.” She responded, folding her hands while staring at the field , her eyes caught the attention of the two fighting wolves and she was pleased at how well they fought.
She watches them with admiration and also their determination was quite cool.
“Everyone seems to be improving.” She complimented Daniel and smiled at her .
“Guess my assistant was the best.” He added, and then looked at the wolf warrior, pleased that positive results were coming.
“Wanna go haunting.?” She asked , turning to face the direction that led to the bush.
“An added bonus.” He responded, walking behind her.
Alpha Josiah saw them and their closeness to each other irritated him so much , he smirked and walked away but not without a devilish glare at them .
Daniel and Daphne walked through the narrow road in silence with their haunting gun, they moved around with their eyes fixed on the road while looking around for some animal .
“How have you been?.” Daniel asked, he had caused a problem between herself and his alpha and he needed to make sure she is okay.
“Fine.” She responded, her eyes caught a big animal when he was about to say another word, she quickly covered his mouth with her hands as she silently walked closer to the direction. She shot at the animal and it fell immediately after a painful groan.
Excited at her success she yelled happily, running to the animal she just killed;she picked it up and slowly, she turned to look at the boring eyes of Daniel , who wouldn’t stop looking at her . He smiles at her and then offers to take the animal from her , she blindly agrees to it . Both turned and started walking slowly , back to the wolf pack.
“The werewolf academy is starting a new section soon, they are selecting the best leader to represent the little wolves for their training.” He said to her, as they walked slowly.
“That is cool.” She responded, she folded her hands against her breast . Daniel looks at her and smiles.
“Won’t you love to participate?” He asked , and she turned to look at him with her folded arms .
“Why would i? I heard the only set of people who get to participate as the leader are noble wolves , not omega, especially from another pack.” She said , hurt at the fact that she won’t get to participate .
“Since you are the future Luna, it won’t have any effect on you.” He voiced , taking a look at her . Her expression and her reaction were that of a person who was hurt .
She kept mute after the last words from Daniel , she didn’t respond but rather she kept thinking about it and how she wishes to participate, but too bad she won’t be able to , for a moment she realize she was an omega and she was rejected by her first mate for this , “could it be that , Alpha Ben will also reject her.” She thought, her heart skipped badly at the thought of being rejected the second time .
Especially now that she is in love with him, she could not think straight as her mind is playing a dirty game at her , she had never for once had a thought about her background and how Alphas look down on them , they never wanted to associate with omegas or mate with them . Since they consider them to be their slave and the weakest set of people around there pack .
She sighs as they walk into the pack, her heart hurting so deeply. She took the road that led to the alpha chambers, she slowly took a step in and there he was seated calmly like he used to, her tiny hands that open the doors draw his attention to her.
“Still at home.” She asked , sitting a bit close to him .
“Yes, I had a meeting with the elders and council” he replied, staring at her.
“Oops , okay” she added standing to leave , her behavior is quite strange to him, but he waves it off.
Alpha Ben mind linked Austin and immediately he raised to his feet , walking towards the door.
He arrived at the meeting center to see the angry face of the elder of the council , and then walked towards his throne ignoring their faces . Austin stood behind him , he stared worriedly at him as their eyes met , alpha Ben sighs giving him an assurance look.
The elders of the council looked at him angrily , the only reason they are this calm was because he is the alpha of their pack, and it is their duty to respect the alpha no matter what.
“Greetings elders.” He greeted them , but no response they wouldn’t Stop staring at him.
He knows exactly what is going on in their mind , but he chooses to ignore them, thereby trying to start the affairs of the day , but one of them stops him.
“When are you getting married?” One of the angry elders asked, staring deeply at him .
“About your betrothed , don’t you think it is time to take things to the next level with her?” Another angry elders asked.
“We have been hearing some rumors about you, having another wolf from the neighborhood.” The eldest wolf among them said , with an angry looking face pointed at the alpha.
“She is also an omega at that,” someone added.
” The children training academy will be starting soon, and it is your duty to attend with your Luna as promised “someone spoke up .
Alpha Ben sighs as he continues to look at them and also, listen to their different opportunities. Realization hit him so hard , he knew he wouldn’t be Able to accept her as Luna but he never knew it would be this soon.
As the alpha, he had so much responsibility and one of them is protecting his subject while making the right decision.
He maintained total silence for some time , before he cleared his throat and took a deep breath.
“I know about all this , and about the other wolf , she is my personal servant. I have nothing to do with her , as for getting married that will be soon before the ceremony commences.”He added , taking a deep breath, he was hurt that he denied his mate , but he needed to accept the fact that she can’t be his mate and all he ever did was out of pity for her .
It is definitely time to take action, after all they both agreed on something and that was for her to be his sexual partner . To him that still stands and as for getting married he is doing it soon enough.
He was not ready to make an ordinary omega his Luna right from time, and that won’t change , coupled with the fact he was betrothed to an alpha blood from another pack.
He was okay with it , being a weakling has been taking the good part of him lately. The council was satisfied by his response that they decided to fix a date for the wedding.
They happily left the meeting, Austin looked at him to see the ruthless expression on his face . He was once again back to being a ruthless alpha.
“What happened to her?” Austin asked , in disbelief and disappointment.
“She was never in the picture, remember, she was just a lonely omega I happened to save for a reason.” He responded, but surprisingly he didn’t feel it although his wolf winced in pain.
“And your mate bond?” he asked, staring at him .
“That doesn’t stop me from getting married, I’m the alpha with many duties . Little things can’t affect me, my pack is more important” He voiced out , surprising his anger.
Both himself and beta Austin walk stood to leave the chambers in silence, they met with Maria on the way and to her surprise he hugged him openly as he smiled.
Everyone looked at him , surprised at his sudden change in attitude. The last time he made it open that Daphne was his mate, but today he is hugging another woman.
“Maria Wilson , will you marry me?” He proposed, on his one kneel. Maria, who did not understand what was happening, looked at him and then back at Austin. This was like a dream come through to her but at the same time it seemed so unreal to her .
“What did you just say?” She asked to be sure she isn’t dreaming at all .
” Marry me, Maria Wilson. Become the Luna of this pack and let rule together “he added , bringing out the ring from his pocket . He inserted it into her finger, and she hurriedly kissed him as an approval .
Austin was not pleased with this new change , not at all but he dared not make a comment since he knew how adamant his alpha was , when he gave up on something.
Alpha Ben stares at her eyes and then smiles at her.
“The battle is finally over, since you won over her.” He whisper into her ears while hugging her.
