Daphne looked at the Alpha one more time, she wondered why he was giving her this attitude and also why he was this code towards him .
“You seem very worried , what happen to you. ” She asked, staring at the Alpha.
Alpha Ben drew her closer to himself and then hugged her so tightly. She sighs heavily as she clings to him , holding him tight to herself . She had long for this hug and having the Alpha hug her after everything is a milestone to her .
She slowly disengaged from the hug with her eyes still glued to the Alpha , she crashed her lips against his , savoring his lip with a feeling of sensation that ran down her spine .
Alpha Ben could not bring himself to respond to the kiss , he tapped on her and then slowly disengaged from the kiss and off he went , walking away from her .
Daphne wondered what was wrong with him and why he was this code hearted towards her . She sighs taking a step out of the room , she goes off with different thoughts in her mind .
Back at the Pack field , Daniel is seen with the omegas as they trained thoroughly, though his mind went back to the event of the past fews days . He wonders how Daphne is coping and why she hasn’t been on the training feild for over a long period of time .
Looking round the field he couldn’t see a glimpse of her , yet her image still appeared to him all the time , making it seem like she was here with him . He wonders why he suddenly develops feelings for her and also , why he can’t control his feelings for her .
“Too bad your lover won’t be around.” He heard from his back , and there he recognised the voice of the devil in human form .
“And why are you here?” He asked , even when it is obvious that she was here for a reason best known to him , he still chooses to ignore and hear from the horse’s mouth.
“Grab your sword.” She beckons to him , while walking to the field . Like an obedient servant , he quickly grabbed hold of his sword as he walked towards the field .
“She won’t be here anymore , make me the next leader to you ” She said , as the sound of their fighting sword can be heard .
“What makes you think I will back out.” They heard a familiar, both turning simultaneously to look at her.
“Oh here she is .” She said , sarcastically with an unpleasant expression.
“Guess this came as a compliment then, since when did you suddenly become interested in training?” She asked , walking towards them . A smile escapes Daniel’s lip.
“Oops, Aren’t you supposed to be with your alpha? ” she asked , surprised at the fact that she felt so lively .
“I’m here for the training, would you mind giving it back? ” She stretched her hands towards the sword , Maria looked at her face disappointed at her reaction and how carefree she seemed to be . She was so devastated that she dropped the sword on the floor before walking away after a deep glare .
“Hey” Daniel managed to say in the awkward moment between them .
” Hey “She responded, taking the sword as she walked back to the training ground leaving Daniel standing with his stretch hand.
Everyone welcome her back to the training ground and her two friends Eve and Evan , who happen to be her first friend and also the beta daughter, Beta Drake run up to her.
“You are late.” Eva complained bitterly, she had been waiting for her since she was her tutor for the day.
“Sorry about that, get your sword and let’s begin.” She orders with a straight face , ignoring her completely. Both the twins stop to look at her . Her strange attitude is what they couldn’t understand. She had always been playful and simple with them but today she is quite strange and uninteresting. Could it be that something is off with her , they thought walking back to get their sword.
The training was a bit tight and full of tension as Daphne ended up missing her steps , while being defeated by many of the omegas . They wonder what was wrong with her and why she felt this weak .
Soon enough, Austin arrived at the training ground after watching them from a far distance for a very long time . He stood close to them watching the fight and seeing how weak and powerless she was. He stopped her from fighting and then slowly he dragged her from the field to a quiet place in the pack .
“What happened to you? , why the sign of weakness?. He asked , worried and confused.
“Where is the Alpha?” She asked interested , ignoring him completely .
“I guess at his secret training room.” He responded, while helping her to sit down .
He stood at the edge of the chair which she sat , his eyes glaring at her strangely with different questions running through his mind . He slowly quart In Front of her and handed over to her a bottle of water . She gumped than the water and sighs .
She stood on her feet immediately she regained a little portion of her strength. She tried to walk but she staggered backwards, making Austin rush to hold her .
“You don’t look good” Austin voiced out, staring at her with a worrisome look.
“I’m fine , but somehow I feel strange.” She responded to him .
” Where is the Alpha, I need to see him.”She demanded standing up to her feet .
She was assisted by Austin as they walked towards The Alpha Chamber , they stopped at the gate when they both noticed some people who were not from the pack taking some load inside the pack and they all headed to Maria room.
She wondered what was happening, but she ignored and then opened the door to the Alpha chambers , she walked in to see the Alpha sitting in his throne and also another figure was sitting close to him .
She turned to look at the figure , and a cold shiver ran down her spine as she clung onto Austin, fear written all over her face . Her hands tremble and her feet shakes vigorously at the sight Infront of her. Austin held onto her for support as he tried to calm her down , but it was not walking on her .
Slowly the figure stood up and walked close to her. She shifts back in fear while staring at Alpha Ben , she couldn’t help but stare at him in fear .
“Won’t you welcome me?” The figure asked , with a terror voice that frightened the soul of her .
She trembles once more shifting backward , Alpha Ben at her and the fear in her eyes , he feels hurt but at the same time powerless.
Austin, who seems not to understand what is going on and why this monster was here spoke up .
“What is going on here? ” He demanded , holding onto Daphne .
“Oh , long time no see,” Alpha Josiah said with an evil smile .
“Your closeness seems to be a threat to her , would you mind shifting backward?” He demanded staring at him .
” Sure why not , I will be here for a very long time . Guess we would spend some time together “He smile , looking at the trouble Daphne
Her Life seems to be crashing In Front of her right now , and she seems so helpless to even fight for herself . Here is the same man who had rejected her some months ago , standing boldy Infront of him and the fact that he was even invited by her second chance mate, who seems more strange borders her
“Why will you be here for long, I bet you know this is not your pack” She suddenly finds her voice after he breaks the news .
“I guess your beloved mate didn’t tell you this , I’m here for … … ”
” The Maid will take you to your chambers”Alpha Ben cut him short .
Daphne in return stares at how cold heart alpha Ben has become and the fact that he changed suddenly toward her.
” We need to talk. “Austin demanded , leaving Daphne behind after he stared at the demon in a human form .
Alpha Ben followed him immediately as they went out of the room .
“Why is he here ?” He asked , but this time in an angry tone not as his friend.
“Maria demanded to spend some times with him,” he responded.
” Since when did you suddenly start taking sides with Maria?”He asked .
” Another question for another day , let us go in , I can’t trust him with Daphne “he said, before he could utter another word , he rushed back in as he followed from behind, confused at wonder ever that is going on.
Maria ran in happily, ignoring everyone in the room she ran to hug her brother, who welcomed her whole heartedly .
“Good to see you here.” She said , hugging him more closely as everyone, including Daphne, looked at her .
“I’m more than happy to see you” She said , this time she disengage from the hug.
