Brett and Rachel were currently at the airport, along with Maggie, Francis and Carter. This is Carter’s first overseas trip with their family.. It was his first time to board the plane with both his parents, and earlier he had begged to go home. Maggie was also nervous and she attempted to cancel flying with them.
“I will just stay at home to take care of the dog,” Maggie reasoned out.
“Common Maggie, just relax, okay? Promise, you won’t really regret it when we get there.” Said Rachel.
Rachel had no problem flying to Singapore on economy class. Anyway, the flight was only a few hours and the Cathay seats were also comfortable. However, Brett insisted that they would take the business class. He still argued with Brett but the man was really stubborn. This led to her pregnancy with their second child.
“Of course, Maggie. Don’t even think we’re going to get on the plane. Just imagine that you’re on the bus to your province, okay?” Francis added so that Maggie wouldn’t be too nervous.
“Come on,” Brett called to his companions as they started boarding. He put Francis first and Carter and Maggie followed. He also stood up to Rachel first to support her properly. He wanted to postpone their trip to Singapore because he didn’t want Rachel to get tired from the trip. She was afraid that something bad might happen to her pregnancy.
“It’s me, I’m not crippled.” If she was struggling when she got Carter pregnant, now she is not. Nothing seems to have happened. She wouldn’t get tired easily, and she also didn’t vomit in the morning, and most of all, she wasn’t picky with her food. Her stomach wasn’t that big yet because it’s only three months old. When Brett suggested that they not continue, he was one of those who refused. Because she would be busy next year, taking care of their second baby.
“We have to be careful,” Brett said.
“Gosh, if you’re always like this, I might want to get pregnant every year.” Rachel teased her husband.
“Hmmm, sounds good to me. However, I won’t let you get pregnant every year. I also need you, Rachel. You can’t just use me to make babies with you! Alas, you’ll be busy with the kids when it happens, what about me?”
“I love you,” Rachel whispered to Brett, simultaneously pinching his side.
“I know,” the man replied. When they were all seated, Brett took his cellphone and read a message from his text mate.
If I’m hungry and I need someone to feed me, can I approach you and say … bite me at least on the lips.
Brett’s smile widened when he read Rachel’s reply, “You know? I only want to be with you … Now and forever.”
“Why? Are you interested in my messages?” Brett probably thought she wouldn’t know who was always texting her at night.
“Since when did you know that it was me?” He asked the woman.
“When we did something in your car,” Rachel whispered her answer because she didn’t want to scandalize other people.
Brett smiled as he recalled everything that had happened that day. Kevin sighed softly at the conversation that until now he had not been able to tell Rachel. He had planned to talk to the woman about it, but she was afraid that Rachel might be angry with her.
“Do you have a problem, Brett? Earlier I noticed that you were sighing, “Rachel commented to the man.
“Something’s just bothering me, sweetheart.” Brett admitted his anxiety but he still couldn’t tell the woman the real reason.
“Tell me about it,” Rachel said.
Brett took a deep breath before starting to tell Rachel everything. “Actually, that’s how it is-”
“Brett Morgan!”
Brett closed his eyes when he heard Kevin’s voice in his head. Her conscience really bothered her because she kept it a secret from her husband. When he heard Kevin’s voice again, he shook his head.
“Hey, what happened? Your friend called you, “Rachel touched Brett’s side as he suddenly lost himself.
He looked at Rachel’s behavior and asked the woman. “Who?”
“Kevin,” Rachel replied shortly but could not escape her eyes as her neighbor almost fell off the chair.
“Where is he?” His eyes searched for the man Rachel had mentioned and when she saw Kevin on the other side of the plane, her eyes widened. He stood up to approach the man but Rachel stopped him, just so, Kevin also stood up and walked closer to them. She motioned for the man to stay away from her but he would not listen.
“Hi Rachel,” Kevin greeted Rachel. “How are you?”
“Here, the gills are still red.” Rachel mimicked the usual expression of her friend Jennifer.
Kevin laughed at what the woman said but when he looked at Brett, the man seemed uncomfortable in his presence. “What’s up bro?” He kicked the man.
“It’s you, Kevin. What are you going to do in Singapore?” He asked the man.
“I will be your tour guide there,” the man replied.
The expression on Brett’s face darkened but when he looked at Rachel’s behavior, he just shrugged. “Should I know anything?” he asked the wife.
“Hmmm, it’s not a big deal. I think your friend felt guilty about the ten million so he volunteered to return it to your account, so as a way of saying my gratitude, I invited him to join us.” Rachel explained.
Brett looked badly at Kevin but he just smiled as if he wasn’t going to have a problem with Rachel. “I’m going to kill you!” He mouthed at Kevin.
