She was worried when Brett didn’t come home for dinner. He was gone from two o’clock in the afternoon and it’s almost ten in the evening already. She wanted to call the man but she forgot to pick up his number.
“Alright, go to sleep. You’re too obvious, sister.” Francis teased Rachel. Earlier he noticed that the woman was sitting in the seat and glanced at the watch she was wearing. Why is it that it makes it hard to get even though it is obvious that she is still in love with her husband.
“What are you talking about?” Suppose he did not know what Francis meant.
“Why, you’ve become a denial queen now? It’s obvious that you’re waiting for Brett.”
“Excuse me, why should I wait for him?” He stood up to leave the fooling Francis but it also stood up.
“I don’t know, you know better why you’re waiting for him. Oh hey, I’ll be the first and I still have a meeting tomorrow morning.” Francis said goodbye to go to bed first.
Rachel was alone in the living room and pretended to watch a cooking show but the truth is, Brett was the stuff of her brain. Did it go to Bettina? Or maybe it was an accident on the way? He looked at his cellphone. By the way, she did not give the man her mobile number.
She would take care of her life, she boredly said to herself close to midnight but the man still hadn’t come home. He was on his way up to his room when his cellphone rang. He took it out of his pocket and opened it.
“In the exam, it was changed correctly; it’s like love, it’s still released.”
Rachel winced at the message she read. What is this cruelty of his textmate. He typed a reply. “I remember the days you told me ‘I LOVE YOU’, I remember when you said” I’LL NEVER LET YOU GO “but most of all, I can’t forget the day when you said you didn’t want to first.”
“Did I say something like that?”
Rachel laughed when her textmate replied again. “I don’t know about you,” he texted back.
“By the way, I forgot your name, can I just call you ME?”
What is this again? Brett would have forgiven him but he really shuddered at his textmate. Its lifts were so high that it brought a smile to his lips when reading its messages. “Are you a horse?”
“Why?”
“Because when you passed by, my HEART WAS STUNNING.” He laughed at the drawn lines he saw on the internet.
“Not funny.”
Rachel frowned when she read her reply. Funny so your pick-up line he. He turned off his cellphone and proceeded to climb the stairs to his room. It would be better for him to go to sleep, maybe he can still dream of Piolo Pascual. But as he lay there, he was tempted to open his cellphone again.
“Aren’t you noisy?”
“Why?”
“Because my heart cries for you all day long.”
Rachel’s smile widened when she read her textmate’s message. He was close to his room when he heard the sound of the doorbell. He hurried downstairs and went to the door to peek at who had come. Brett.
Using the remote control, he opened the gate to allow the man’s vehicle to enter. She waited in the living room for the man but a few minutes later, she still hadn’t heard him enter. He peeked again.
He wondered why the man had not yet entered the vehicle he was carrying. He came out. When he got close to the car, he knocked on its window. Instead of opening the window, the man just waved like a fool. Wait, is it drunk? Apparently not. Maybe he just drank. It prompted him to get into the car. And he who had been worried about the man immediately entered.
“What are you doing?” he commented to the man when he suddenly started the car.
“We’re going somewhere.” Before returning home, she researched what she needed to do to make her husband fall in love again. When he researched online where to visit the bride or husband who is close to where they live, 10, 000 Roses Cafe tops the list. The café served pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches as well as coffee, tea, and frappes. On the way to the cafe, there are 10, 000 white LED roses that looked amazing when lit at night.
“You’re drunk,” Rachel said.
“Just drank but not drunk,” Brett replied.
When they arrived at the cafe, the two were amazed at the crowd. Visitors are not sanctioned, whether on weekdays or weekends. Brett scratched his head so hard. She expected the set-up of their date to be romantic because of the beautiful scenery that can be seen while drinking coffee. He was slightly disappointed.
But if Brett was disappointed, it wasn’t obvious on his female companion’s face. Her expressions lit up upon seeing the large crowd who were busy taking their photos and selfies. “I’m sorry, I didn’t think it was like this here. The blog didn’t mention that the cafe is crowded at night.” He always apologized to his wife.
“It’s okay. We’re here, eh.” Rachel replied.
Brett simply held one of Rachel’s hands as they walked into the cafe to order coffee. “Wait, why don’t we take our photo like the other couple?”
He didn’t drag her but she agreed to Brett’s suggestion that they take a selfie in front of the cafe. What could it have eaten and suddenly the habit became a teenager? “Okay, here it is. Say cheese!” said Brett before pressing the camera button of his cellphone.
Then, Rachel immediately looked at their shot, and she laughed. I think they did too much posing, eh, they didn’t get their faces. “I’ll take our picture.” As he lifted his cellphone to get a nice angle of the background, he felt one of Brett’s hands grip his waist.
“Where did you go?” He asked the man.
“To my friend. Did you miss me?” Brett jokingly asked the woman.
“Of course not. I was just worried that you had an accident on the way, “Rachel replied seriously but Brett didn’t like it.
