He said goodbye to Francis as well as to Carter. She needed to refresh her mind. And she was sure her friend Jen would help her. They also haven’t seen a friend in a few years, although they always talk on skype, she still misses the witch Jennifer. When he arrived at the friend’s house, he immediately hugged him. Infairness, Jen’s house is a mansion!
“How are you Jen?” He asked the friend as they got inside.
“The gills are still red, how are you? You suddenly left the country, what happened? Do you know how many times Brett came here? ” A series of questions came out of Jennifer’s mouth.
“Long story short, Jen. Anyway, I didn’t come here so we could talk about my past. Is your husband here? Why don’t you introduce me? ” He had always wondered why Jen didn’t want to show her husband every time they made a video call or even a picture of him. “Be honest Jen, you got married ugly, what?” He whispered to the friend.
Jennifer laughed at Rachel’s whisper. “Why do you think he is ugly? Not so, “Jennifer insisted that her husband’s face was ugly. He called his children to make the woman look like her husband was not baluga.
“They’re twins?” Aside from the looks the two have, they are almost the same height.
“No, ah. But their age gap is only one year, “Jennifer replied.
“Just a year? Whoah, your flirting friend. ” Said Rachel.
“It used to be,” Jennifer replied.
Jen has a sense of humor and no one can beat her in her awkwardness. His mouth was almost cracked with laughter every time the woman joked. He did not realize the time. When he looked at his Rado, it was already eight o’clock in the evening.
“Oh my god, I need to go home, Jen. We didn’t even realize the time.” he said to the friend.
“Yeah, eh. All right, you go home, but come back tomorrow, okay?” If anyone knew Rachel well, it was her. And he knew the friend was in trouble. He thinks, men are the reason. He remembers those times when it was so hard to crush on Brett. She was so full of herself and happy. “Are you and Brett really separated?”
“Legally speaking is not yet, but it will go there as well. So I came home to take care of our annulment, “Rachel replied.
“Can’t we really talk anymore?”
“I can’t. By the way, I’ll be back here next week. Carter and I have a walk tomorrow, eh. All right, just respect your husband. Wait, what time did he arrive today?” He didn’t want to go home yet but it was already night and Francis had texted him earlier.
“It’s later. But I also need to prepare my beautiful self for her arrival,” Jennifer said.
“Bye, Jen. Till next time,” he said goodbye to the woman and waved before getting into his car. “I’ll call you,” he motioned for Jennifer to call him later before turning the car on.
He was running fast because he wanted to get home right away. On Zuellig Avenue he passed to avoid traffic. The road is a bit dark because there are no lamp posts, it looks like a private road because it is not very developed. On the side of the road is only sedge and other grass.
“Shit, why now?” he asked himself when suddenly a tire on the right exploded. It’s so unfair. Only now did he experience being broken in the middle of the dark road. He still doesn’t know how to change a tire. He immediately picked up his cellphone and called Francis for it to be the one to call the tow truck because he didn’t have their number.
He could do nothing but wait for help to come. He looked around. No human beings. He couldn’t quite imagine what he would do in case there were bad people approaching his car. Rachel was looking around and trembling with fear when suddenly a car pulled up in front of her.
He continued to panic. Maybe addicts are on board! He prayed not to be noticed, but with the color of his car being so white, it was impossible for them not to notice him. She was praying for her safety when suddenly there was a knock on her window. Her body froze until she realized who it was and then she powered the window down. She momentarily forgot the anger for the man and the excitement prevailed!
“You’re glad to see me and I wonder why,” Brett said and smiled sweetly at Rachel. He followed the woman earlier when she left the house. He also waited a long time before Rachel left her friend’s house. Jennifer.
If only his car hadn’t been damaged, he would never have ignored the Jew. “Because I thought, you’re the one pulling the broken car!” He replied and raised the window again but Brett stopped it.
“I’m sorry to disappoint you sweetheart, but I can take you to your house.” Brett offered.
“I can’t just leave the car here, I’ll wait for the towing company.” Rachel was stubborn but honestly, she was about to give up. Is the woman really like that? Or is he just the super idiot when it comes to Brett? Already fooled, still willing to be fooled again!
“Okay, eh no, just join me while you wait. It’s better if you get out of there first. It’s a nice night, it’s cold, lots of stars, and most of all, we’re the only ones here.” he said seductively. His intention was to weaken her resolve as per the advice he got from Collin Madrigal.
Why not? It would be a perfect date, ever! With Brett, under the same sky and stars. You’re really crazy Rachel Marie, she scolded herself. Have you ever forgotten who you are facing now? “Thanks, but no thanks, Brett. I’d rather wait here,” he said to the man, but when he turned around and was about to return to his own car, he quickly changed his mind. “Wait,” he called to the man and then came out.
