She took a deep inhale, standing there as she texted someone on her phone, and just then, Ella noticed what she was doing. “You called him, didn’t you?” She asked as she rushed to Kathryn, but before she could get the phone from her, Kathryn had already dodged.
“What do you think you’re doing?” She asked her, and Ella stared at her.
“You did this so he wouldn’t kiss me, right? This was all of your doing; you’re doing this so that myself and the love of my life won’t be together. How dare you?” She asked as she made to hit her, but then, being trained for times like this, Kathryn grabbed her hand as she turned her, placing her hand behind her while she cried out in pain.
“It’s funny how you can pin the blame on me. He doesn’t want to kiss you; deal with it.” She told her, and with that, she pushed her to the floor as she winced in pain, but then, unfortunately for Kathryn, Daniel walked in at that time and saw Ella on the floor.
“You foolish maid!” He yelled as he rushed to Ella, who, after seeing him, started to cry. “What do you think you’re doing?” He asked her angrily, and Ella immediately pulled him in as she started to cry at his feet.
“This is what you wanted, Daniel, right? This is why you had to get a mistress, because you want to hurt me. Daniel, if you don’t love me, then just tell me, and I promise I’ll just leave your life for good. I’d even commit suicide if you wanted; just please don’t let your mistress treat me this way.” She cried as she winked slowly at Kathryn, who rolled her eyes.
“Stop saying that, Ella. You know that…” Before he could finish speaking, Kathryn walked to them as she helped Ella up.
“Sir, I’m so sorry; I only pushed her by accident because she was stepping on my foot. I’ll go take care of her now.” She told Daniel, and with that, Daniel let go of her.
She helped Ella up as she led her to the couch while she shot daggers at her.
“About your call, sir. Who was it?” She asked him, and he shook his head.
“I don’t know; it was a private number, and as such, I wasn’t able to call back.” He told her, and she smiled as she stared at Ella.
“That’s a pity, sir. The doctor has advised you to rest, so please go rest.” She told him, and he nodded as he went up to his room.
Just as he left. She got up and made to leave, but then Ella held on to her hand as she stared at her angrily. “You made a big mistake by not letting him kiss me today, Kathryn.” She told her, and her lips parted as she smirked slightly.
“Don’t forget, he is mine, and mine alone. You can go to hell with your dreams of wanting to be with him.” Kathryn told her, and with that, she slapped her hands off as she walked to her room.
TWO DAYS LATER.
He was finding it hard to sleep; he wasn’t able to think straight, and he didn’t want to bother anyone. It felt like the whole world was on his head, and he hated that. He sighed as he got off his bed, going to the balcony as he looked out, and there he found a table all set up with some computers and a woman.
It had to be Ella, because he was surprised that after some time of him not being at the office, the work wasn’t piling up for him. All his work had been sorted out, and he had made a lot of money despite being away from work.
He smiled. He had to go thank her; she had been doing him a lot of favors after all. He took a deep inhale as he walked to the garden, and even though he didn’t want to, he was drawn to her. He had this urge to hug her from behind and then plant a kiss on her forehead.
He took a deep inhale as he immediately wrapped his hands around her neck, planting a kiss on her forehead as he stared at her do her work, and just then, she placed her hands on him, closing her eyes as she smiled.
“Daniel?” She called, and with the way she sounded, he immediately knew it wasn’t her. He turned and found Katheyn doing the work.
“You? How is it possible that you’ve been handing me all my work?” He asked her, and she smiled.
“It’s nothing. I’ve been doing it for a long time now, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.” She told him, and his heart warmed upon seeing her smile.
“Thank you.” He told her, and she nodded as she stared at him, and after staring at him for some time, she turned away from him.
He sighed deeply, and from that day on, they started to get closer. He had lost his memory, but now it felt like they were creating new ones together, and nothing made her happier than that.
He was even taking her to the office now, and that got Ella more pissed than anything in the world.
He had started to develop feelings for her all over again, and Ella could see it. She just refused to admit it.
“I know what you’re doing, Kathryn, and if you ever want him to remain himself, stop it.” She confronted Kathryn on one of the days she returned from work.
“Is that supposed to be a threat, Ella?” She asked her, and she chuckled slightly.
“Take it as whatever you want, but trust me, I’m very dangerous, and I’m even more dangerous now that Daniel sees me as his girlfriend and the one he loves. You’re nothing but his workmate and…
“This is one thing you don’t understand, Ella. Whether I’m his workmate or not, I can see it in his eyes that he has started to develop feelings for me, and trust me, it won’t take time for him to break up with you.” She told Ella, who nodded.
“You won’t give up?”
“Not ever. I’m going to make sure he regains his memory, and I’m going to be with him forever.” Kathryn told her, and just as she was about to leave, Ella spoke.
“Tell me then, would you rather have him without memories of you, or would you rather have him with memories of you, but this time dead?”
