THIRD PARTY’S POV..,
“You don’t? If you don’t, then tell me why you can’t look into my eyes and say that to me.” She told him as she tried to get off the bed, but then her legs were still weak, but now it was better. Getting up didn’t hurt as much as it did the first time she had fallen to the ground, and using the bed as support, she walked to him as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
“I won’t look into your eyes because I don’t want to. You’re just a maid here; treat yourself as one and stop trying to humiliate yourself.” He told her, and she chuckled as she cupped his face, slowly brushing his cheeks with her thumb as she stared at him lovingly.
“I’m just a maid; I know that, but tell me one thing: why are you so worried about a maid? I could see it in your eyes, Daniel. I could see that.” Before she could even finish speaking, he held on to her hand.
“How many times do I have to tell you that it’s Mr. Lopez and not Daniel? Ella is the only one here who can call me Daniel, and as for you, you can’t. Got it?” He asked her, and she chuckled.
“I’ll call you whatever you want me to call you, and that’s why I won’t address you by your last name. You’re Daniel to me, my Daniel, and Daniel…” She started to run her fingers slowly through his hair as she looked into his eyes. “Daniel, I know that deep down, you know I’m not just a maid here.” She told him, and for some reason, it felt like she was telling the truth.
Looking into her eyes, he could see something different. He could see something that showed that she loved him, but he didn’t want to believe it.
“Who knows if you’re just a gold digger?” He told her, and with that, he pushed her away, and she screamed in pain as she almost fell to the ground, but then he was quick to realize what he had just done to her, and he grabbed her by the waist, breaking her fall.
The moment he had his hands around her waist while hers were around his neck, he felt something. It was something he had never felt before, and seeing her lips curve into a little smile started to make him think of doing things he knew he wasn’t supposed to.
“Why won’t you stop? You don’t care about me, but you’re breaking my fall with your hands wrapped around my waist and your eyes showing something else. Your lips say one thing, Daniel, but your eyes show something else, and you know, eyes don’t lie.” She told him, and he stared at her.
“Don’t make yourself important; you’ll just end up hurting yourself, because it’s not like that. You’re not important to me, so it’s better you get it into your head. Alright?” He asked her, and she chuckled.
“Let’s take it that you don’t care, but tell me, why’d you wrap your hands around my waist the very moment you realized I would fall because I was still recovering?” She asked him, and he stared at her.
“I’ll do the same for any other woman I see about to fall.” He told her, and she chuckled as she caressed his face slowly.
“Are you saying you’ll show any random woman the same amount of care you show me?” She asked him, and he nodded.
Yes, I will.” He told her, and she smiled slightly.
“Then tell me, will you feel the same way when another woman kisses you?”
He stared at her, confused. What did she mean? He didn’t even get the chance to think properly when she grabbed him closer to herself, slamming her lips against his, and his eyes widened in shock.
As she slowly sucked on his lower lips while he sucked on her upper lips, tears streamed down her cheeks. She had missed this, and she wanted it badly. With his hands wrapped around her waist, he didn’t understand what was going on. He wanted to stop, but he couldn’t.
He found himself reciprocating and enjoying the kiss. She was right; he would never feel this way if it had been someone else, so what was so special about her? What was in her that was making him feel this way?
Before he knew it, it got the best of him, and next thing he knew, he had already carried her as he led her to the bed where he placed her. He tucked her hair behind her ear, still not breaking the kiss, and his hands started to walk around her body.
She had her hands on his chest, and he was already making out with her when the door to the room came open, and Ella yelled.
“Daniel!” The moment she yelled, it felt like all his senses came back to him, and he got off the bed immediately. “What on earth is going on here?” She asked him as she started to burst into tears, and he rushed to her.
“Ella, wait. It’s not what you think, I promise. I… .” Before he could even finish speaking, she pushed him away.
“It’s not what I’m thinking? You’re in bed with her, kissing, and almost making out, so tell me, what am I supposed to think? You’re a cheater, Daniel. You’re cheating on me with her? How could you?” She asked him as she started to hit him on the chest, and he shook his head.
“Listen to me, it’s not like that. I…..”
“How can you do this to me, Daniel? You know what? I’m done here; I’m going to kill myself.” She said, rushing out of the room, and Daniel turned to Kathryn, who had a shocked look on her face before rushing out.
Katheyn, using the walls as support, rushed after them, and there Ella stood in the kitchen, some kerosene and matches in her hands as she stared at him.
“Ella, stop this now; don’t be ridiculous.” He told her as he tried to move closer to her.
“You don’t love me, and I’ve seen proof of that today. You’ll have to prove you love me, Daniel. Tell me, will you do it?” She asked him, and he nodded.
“Tell me, what do I do?” He asked her, and she stared at Kathryn.
“I want you to kiss me, French style.”
