She shook her head as she shook his body repeatedly. “Daniel!” She screamed. “Open your eyes, Daniel. Please, I’m begging you, open your eyes for me. Don’t do this to me.” She screamed in tears as she got off the bed.
She quickly went to his side of the bed as she started to hit his face softly. “Open your eyes, Daniel. I beg of you, talk to me.” She screamed, and after screaming for a few minutes, she fell to the ground.
She wiped her tears slowly as she rushed out of the room. “Martha, Karla!!! Help me, please.” She called out to the maids in the house, but none of them came out.
She could tell that she was the only one in the house with Daniel, and fear surged through her. She shook her head as she stared at him, more tears streaming down her cheeks. She took a deep inhale as she started to carry him out of the room.
“Daniel, please don’t go; you’ll be fine. I promise you’ll be fine; just stay strong, for me at least. I love you.” She cried as she carried him out.
“Help me!” She yelled to the guard as the gate was opened for her.
She placed Daniel in one of the cars in the room as she rushed to the steering wheel. She took a deep breath as she stared at him. She wasn’t a good driver, but for him, she could be anything.
She wiped her tears as she ignited the engine, starting to drive immediately as she drove straight to the hospital. Tears streamed down her cheeks on her way there, as most times she would turn to him to see if he had regained consciousness, but he hadn’t.
“Daniel, I’m so sorry; please forgive me.” She cried as she rushed out of the car after getting to the hospital.
“Madam, what’s wrong?” One of the nurses asked, and she went on her knees immediately.
“Save him, please; he got stabbed. I don’t know how; just save him, I beg of you.” She cried, and the nurse called the attention of the others as they quickly placed him on the stretcher, wheeling him into the hospital.
She rushed after them, and when they got to the operation theater, they stopped her from going any further.
“I’m sorry, ma’am. You’d have to wait here.” She was in tears as she stood there. She stared at herself; she had been soaked in his blood, and she didn’t even want to start thinking of how much blood he had lost and how bad that would be for his health.
She buried her face in her hands as she paved the place. What would happen to him? How would she be able to live if Daniel died? She shook her head. She didn’t want to start thinking about that; he was going to be fine. She was sure about it.
She swallowed, and just then, something hit her. How did he get hurt? What happened to Daniel? She had been up in the middle of the night, and there was nothing wrong with him, so how come when she woke up in the morning, he had been stabbed?
GODFATHER!!
She kicked in anger as she got into the car again, rushing out of the hospital as she drove straight to the hideout. “What are you doing here? You know you can’t be here unless you’ve been called.” The guard at the door told her, and she kicked him hard as she pushed him away.
“Get the hell out of here!” She screamed as she rushed into the building.
“God father!” She yelled as she walked in. “You bastard, show yourself now!” She screamed as she started to tear the place down.
She was in a fit of rage, seeing things she wasn’t supposed to say, but at that time, it didn’t matter to her, and just then, she heard approaching footsteps.
“Have you come to say thank you?” He asked her, and she turned to see him walking towards her.
“You bastard!” She yelled as she walked to him, and before he knew it, she gave him a resounding slap across the face, and he stared at her, shocked.
“How dare you?” He asked in anger as he raised his hand, about to give her a slap, but then she held on to his hand.
“Don’t even dare!” She told him as she stared at him. “You’re such a monster, a bastard. And a coward too. How could you? How could you be so evil?” She asked him in tears as she stared at him.
“You’ve gone soft, Kathryn, and trust me, whenever anyone goes soft, I have no choice but to complete their jobs and then punish them.” He told her, and she chuckled as she stared at him.
“You’re going to punish me?” She gave a sarcastic laugh. “It’s over, godfather. I’m not scared of you anymore. You and your pathetic threats can go to hell, because I don’t care anymore. You’ll go to jail for everything you’ve done. For keeping Kathryn away for all those years, you’ll have to suffer!” She said so and turned.
“Tell me, what are you going to do to me?” He asked her with a mocking smirk on his face.
She turned to him. “What should I have done all those years? What should I have done without having to almost become a monster like you?” I’ll tell everyone about you and this agency. I’d tell everyone, including Daniel and the police, and trust me, you’re going down, and I don’t care if I go down with you. All that matters is that you’re down.” She told him, and the moment she got to the door, he spoke.
“Do you really think you can do that, and I’ll just stand by watching you?” He asked her, and she turned to him.
“I don’t care. You have hurt Daniel, and you’ll have to pay for it.” She told him, and he chuckled.
“You’re doing all this for him, am I right?” He asked her, and she turned to him.
“Yes, and you can go to hell if it hurts you.” She told him, and he nodded his head.
“Today was the last time you’d get to see Daniel. I’d like to see you try to meet him again.” He said that, and her eyes widened in shock.
She didn’t want to even start to think of his words, and with that, she rushed out of the place. The moment she tried to board a taxi, trying to cross the road, a truck coming at full speed ran her over.
“Daniel!” She screamed as she lost consciousness.
