“Ka…” Daniel called slowly in shock as he felt her on his body and gosh, she just felt so delicate. He sighed as he tried to get her off his body, slowly without having to disturb her.
He held on his head, how did they end up in the room and looking around the room, it was quite messy. He ran his fingers through his hair before looking at himself and then heaving a sigh of relief, nothing happened.
He was still clad in his clothes and even though his shirt was unbottened, he was sure nothing happened. He swallowed, he was sure of one thing, they had done really foolish things.
He slapped himself hard, how could he have let himself fall for such stupid things? How could he have let himself accept her drinking challenge? He shook his head, that was the most ridiculous thing he could have ever done in his life and damn, his head aches so badly.
He was still in thought when he noticed Kathryn slowly start to move. It didn’t seem like she was going to wake up anytime soon and he was sure he didn’t want her to wake up and see him there, it would be such a cringe moment for the both of them and he was sure of one thing, he didn’t want any cringy moments, not now at least.
He sighed as he walked to the cupboard, taking out a towel before waking into the bathroom. He sighed as he turned on the water, letting it pour on him and it was at this point in time tbat he understood the phrase, water is life.
After taking a bath, all his nerves became calm and his headache suddenly reduced. After bathing, he tied his towel around his waist as he opened the door and just as he was about to take a step forward, he bumped into someone and they both fell to the floor, him on top of her.
“Shit!” He cursed after seeing he had fallen on Katheyn who had a towel tied around her chest.
“You?” They both asked each other and he tried to get up but then, he couldn’t. He had hurt his back badly.
She looked away the moment she recalled the things that had happened the previous night, how silly she had being and how they almost made out.
“Good morning!” They both greeted each other and then, ignoring all the pain he was feeling, Daniel got off her as he walked to the bed, retrying the towel around his waist while Katheyn raised hers even more.
“So sorry about yesterday!” They both said to each other, again and they swallowed, why did they keep saying the same things? She chuckled slightly before giving him the go ahead to speak.
“You can speak, I’ll wait” she said with a smile on her face and he nodded, taking a deep inhale before continuing.
“You don’t need to feel cringed or anything ” he told her.
“I actually don’t” she said and that was when she recalls that she was actually supposed to be his seductress. She cursed inwardly, how could she have let such an opportunity slip?
She smiled to herself as she walked to where he was on the bed before placing her hand on his shoulders with a smile on her face as she slowly caressed his face.
“Wh.. what are you doing?” He asked her and she turned his face so he looked into her eyes and even though his eyes had a certain effect she couldn’t quite place her hands on on her, she had to take this step, it was the boldest she could after all.
“Don’t you want to talk about something?” She asked as she placed her hand on his shoulders, slowly starting to caress his bare chest and he stared, confused. What was wrong with her?
He got up as he stared at her, “don’t tell me you’re still suffering from the effect of the alcohol” he said as he turned away from her, running his hands through his hair as he stared at her.
She smiled as she walked to him, hugging him from behind and he closed his eyes, damn, her chest felt so soft and soothing and he couldn’t bring himself to deny it.
“Stop this Kathryn, I know this isn’t you” he told her and she turned him to face her.
She chuckled, “weren’t you the one who had asked me to seduce you for hundred million dollars?” She asked him as she ran her hands through his hair slightly and the moment she spewed those words, she regretted.
How could she have even made such a ridiculous mistake? Didn’t she know she wasn’t supposed to talk about the seduction to him while actually seducing him?
He smirked to himself as he immediately bent and then carried her and she stared at him, shocked. “You want to seduce me don’t you?” He asked her and even though she was beginning to feel weak in the knees, she knew she had to play along and even though there was no hair strand on his face, she acted like she had just taken one off.
“Of course” she told him with a smile and as he slowly put her back on the ground, she sealed her lips with his and slowly, they started to kiss.
It wasn’t rough or aggressive or even filled with passion, it was just a slow kiss and when she saw that Daniel had started to like the kiss and was even willing to take it to another level, she withdrew with a smile on her face.
“Maybe some other time, Mr don. Don’t forget we have to go to the office” she said and giggled as she rushed into the bathroom and he clenched his fists, she got him, he couldn’t help but admit.
As they sat for breakfast, it felt like all the confidence they had when they were in the room suddenly disappeared and they couldn’t even look each other in the eye and Kathryn hated this, she was supposed to be confident was she not? Why was she suddenly so nervous and all because of a man?
Daniel sighed, so what If she was nervous? She was a girl after all but him, he was a man. He had to take a bold step and that he took. “There’s no need to be so shy around me, I wouldn’t eat you” he told her with a smirk and she slowly raised her head.
“I can’t be shy in front of you, go find some other girl who would be ” she said with a mocking smile on her face and he smirked.
“Okay then, let’s go” he told her after they’d finished having breakfast.
“It’s so nice to finally walk into the office with you after a long time, don’t you think?” He asked her as they walked into the office and she chuckled.
“I wish I could say the same but now, it has become more boring ” she said and they both burst into laughter.
While they worked, Daniel could not bring himself to concentrate on his work as he found himself stealing glances of her. She noticed this but then, him staring was already so weird and she didn’t want to add up to it so she just kept quiet.
She slowly watched him stared at her and then focus back on his work without speaking to her and then, she couldn’t take it any more, it had become way too cringy for her to handle.
“There’s no need to keep on looking at me for so long without speaking to me, I wouldn’t bite you, you know?” She said as she shook her head.
He chuckled, “me, stare at you, you wish” he said and she scoffed, it wasn’t like she even had the time to argue. She had lots of work to do.
After some time of him staring at her and her being uncomfortable with it, she spoke. “Won’t you come have lunch? I’m going to have lunch now” she told him and he immediately got up.
“Sure, let’s go.” He said and she chuckled.
“This means you’ve being waiting for me to ask you to lunch the whole time haven’t you?” She asked as they walked out of the company together, all smiles.
As they walked, some reporters suddenly surrounded them and Kathryn clenched her fists, she recalled her last encounter with them and she didn’t want such to repeat so she wanted to ignore them but Daniel apparently had other plans and just as she was about to leave, she heard him speak.
“I know your questions and here is your answer, yes.” He told them and before they could even ask another question, he completed his statement. “It’s not something I’d hide, yes, she is my girlfriend ” he said and she stared at him, shocked.
Why did he keep saying such things?
