Kathryn smiled to herself as she stared at both cousins, she wished she had a cousin and looking at both cousins embrace theirselves, she felt inner peace.
She was feeling cold, she had been in the rain for so long so she had to get changed.
“I’ll be in the bathroom!” She told Daniel as she walked upstairs.
Daniel clenched his fists as he pushed Louis away from himself. “I’ll pretend I didn’t hear what you just said but mind you, the next time you make such a filthy comment, trust me, you wouldn’t like what I would do to you” he told Louis and made to leave when Louis spoke again.
“And what would you do to me Daniel? I like her, she is the kind of girl I like and as mafia brothers, shouldn’t we be able to share women?” Louis asked and Daniel immediately dragged him by the collar, anger all over him as he stared at his cousin with so much hate.
Louis stared at Daniel in shock, he’d never seen Daniel so upset his entire life and now, Daniel had this much anger in his eyes and all because of a woman. This woman had to be really special’
“Kathryn is not some kind of Candy that we would share, got it. I keep warning you Louis. Keep that mouth of yours in check or I’d gladly do the favor for you” he told Louis as he pushed him away hardly.
Louis chuckled, “all this because of a woman? Seriously bro, I didn’t even see anything the other women don’t have. Boobs, ass, pretty face, all the other women have it so what’s so special about her that you won’t let me have a taste of her?” Louis asked and Daniel lost it and gave him a slap across the face.
Louis held on to his face in shock as he raised his head to stare at Daniel. “Did you just hit me?” He asked Daniel
“I’d hit you again if you dared to mess with me or say something nasty about Kathryn.. I’m warning you” he told Louis and made to leave when he spoke again.
It just seemed like Louis wanted to get on his had books because he was trying his very best to provoke Daniel.
“Warning? You’ve warned me about so many other things in the past Daniel. You also warned me about Monica yet I went ahead and did what I did so….”
Immediately Louis mentioned the name Monica, Daniel grabbed him by the collar and stared at him. His eyes held anger and merely staring into his eyes and the anger that came with it, Louis could almost feel himself wet his pants.
“That was Monica, this is Kathryn. Then I let you do what you did because you were only but a child but this time, I wouldn’t let you because if you tried anything stupid with Kathryn, I’d kill you… no mercy!” He said as he let go of Louis’ collar.
Louis scoffed, “like I always aaid Daniel, you’re not fit to be the mafia of the group that was handed to you by grandfather. You’re such a weakling. I did something so terrible to Monica yet you didn’t kill me. Had you done something so terrible to me, I’d kill you and I wouldn’t even think twice about it” he said and Daniel chuckled.
“Oh really? Try that with Kathryn and let’s see if you’ll be alive to know if I killed you or not” he said.
“It’s still not going to stop me Daniel. I’m interested in Kathryn and until I get what I want from her, you’re just a foot mat” he told Daniel and made to walk out on him when Daniel grabbed him back by the collar and flung him across the room which caused him to scream in pain.
Daniel walked towards him as he pulled him up by the collar again. “You want to touch her don’t you? I’ll like to see the hands you use in doing so” he said as he twisted Louis’ hands backwards before pushing him into the pillar, causing him to hit it face first.
“Ah!” Louis screamed. “What are you doing brother? Let go of me!” He screamed as Daniel sent punches into his stomach while he screamed for help and bled in pain.
“You want Kathryn don’t you? I’ll teach you to never want what’s mine” he said as he grabbed a vase from the table and just as he was about to hit it on Louis’ head, he dodged and the vase went into the wall, breaking into pieces.
Louis stared in shock at the pieces of broken glass and his blood that was now in it, was Daniel really going to kill him and what for, a girl. This girl had to be really special.
“Is that all you got bro? Hit me, do all you want but I’m not going to let go of that girl upstairs you hear me?” He asked and before he could speak again, Daniel had sent another hard punch right into his stomach and the blood that came from his mouth after the punch went right to Daniel’s face but he didn’t care.
He didn’t know why he was overly protective of Kathryn or why he called for so much possessiveness over her but one thing was for sure, he couldn’t let a scumbag and playboy like Louis touch his personal seductress.
“You will still touch her?” He asked as even more anger enveloped him. “I’ll like to see the hands you’ll use in doing so” Daniel said as twisted Louis’ hands even more which caused Louis to cry out in pain.
Had he not being trained by their grandfather who happened to be the supreme mafia at that time, the amount of pain he was feeling at the moment was enough to make him swear to never touch Kathryn.
“Let go of me Daniel!” He said in a pleading voice as tears streamed down his cheeks.
“Never!” Daniel said as he lifted Louis up and then threw him to the floor.
As Louis crashed to the floor, he could swear that he heard a few ribs crack and he wasn’t sure he would be able to move. He gasped as he tried to get off the floor but before he could even move, Daniel had grabbed him again and thrown him into the pillar.
“I want to see the hands you would use in touching her. ” Daniel said as he went into the kitchen and then took a knife.
Louis stared in shock, when the beating had become too much, he had started to contemplate promising to leave Kathryn but now, with the knife, he was sure he wanted to leave Kathryn.
He couldn’t lose his hands because of one woman, how would he please the other out there? How would he shoot at a person and more importantly, how would he drag the innocent girls that refused to come with him.
“Daniel I’ll stop please just drop the knife ” he pleaded and seeing Daniel walk towards him with the knife, he gathered enough strength and was suddenly able to move backward in fear.
“I gave you a choice earlier but now, it’s too late ” he told Louis and grabbed his hand. “These are the hands you want to use in touching her right?” He asked as he placed the knife on Louis’ left wrist, “I’d like to see you use them” he said as he slit Louis’ wrist.
“Aaaaarrrgh!” Louis screamed as the slice came rather too quickly and unprecedented for.
“Won’t you still want to touch her?” Daniel asked and raised the knife, he was going to chop his brother’s hand off and it was all because his brother dared to long for what was his.
Just as he was about to send the knife going through Louis’ wrist, he suddenly felt someone hold his hand back from behind.
Louis had never been so relieved his entire life as he raised his head after opening his eyes to see Kathryn standing behind Daniel, his hands in hers, stopping him from cutting his handoff.
“Kathryn I….” Before Daniel could complete his statement, she had already put her hand in the air.
“I don’t want to listen to what you have to say. Don’t you have any heart? You were about to chop your own cousin’s hand off” she said as she stared at Louis.
She knew she wasn’t the most innocent in any way but there was one thing she knew, if she had a family, she wouldn’t even dare try to hurt them.
She walked to Louis who was now gasping for breathe and stretched her hand out to him. The moment he grabbed her hand and she tried to help him up, he folded his lips, pressing them against each other so they wouldn’t give out how much pain he was in.
There was a rule mafias always went by, never show pain.
“I’ll help you” she told him as she put his hand around her neck and her hand around his waist before helping him go to the room.
Daniel clenched his fists in anger as he stared at Kathryn go up with Louis in that way. Louis turned to look at Daniel, he really wanted to make fun of him at this moment but he wouldn’t even dare.
The fear and love he had for his life and wrists wouldn’t even let him. He just smiled slightly to himself as he slowly put his hand around Kathryn’s waist, making sure Daniel noticed but not bringing it to Kathryn’s attention that he was using her to get back at his cousin brother.
