Third Person’s POV
In the online news was Celina’s photos from last night. Men were captured looking at her lustfully, while women were envious. Beside her was Jefferson, and even when he put his suit on her, she was photographed perfectly.
The photos were beautiful and all highlighted Celina’s perfect figure. “Is that me?” Celina asked when she saw the photos. She couldn’t believe that she was looking like that.
“It doesn’t bother you?” Jefferson asked.
“That I am beautiful? Of course not. Why would I?” She asked.
“Not because of those photos, because of the comments,” he replied, and Celina shook her head.
“It’s fine, I know myself and I know that I am not the kind of person the comments were referring to. They didn’t even bother asking for my credentials at school. Plus, you know who is the first man in life,” she replied. “So, that is the reason why you are angry this morning, just like what Susane said?” she asked and he nodded.
“I didn’t want anyone to talk about you that way,” he replied.
“Just let it be, it’s going to pass eventually.”
“I am not the type to let things slide.” Celina looked at him and wondered what he meant by that. She just shrugged her shoulders.
“I’m hungry, I am going to eat first,” she said, and was about to get up from his lap, but he stopped her. “What? I want to eat already.”
“You haven’t given me a good morning kiss yet,” he said, and kissed her, to which she responded. She noticed that they were getting more intimate, so she was thinking that divorce was out of the question now. “Hmm, my Celina,” Jefferson moans. “I went overboard last night and I’m sure that you’re still sore, so I will be content with kissing for now,” he added.
Celina wanted him but she couldn’t say it. She still felt sore and her body was still aching just as he said. He admired him from knowing how much he made her do things and was considerate of her. “I didn’t think that I was capable of doing that,” she said,
“Forgive me, I have not been with a woman while I’m away. After that night, I wanted to have you again, so I feel excited every time I have you.” he told her and she felt happy about that. She thought he had been with different women because she knew that he had his needs. Then, being married that way, she didn’t think that he would still respect it.
“You wanted me but never called even once?” she asked and he chuckled.
“I never called you, but I always called Daria to ask how you are doing,” he confessed. “And I am happy that you are fine every time. Besides, I know Daria will do a good job of looking after you,” he added.
“Then you have to make up for the three years you’ve left me,” she replied.
“With pleasure,” he said and kissed her again. “Before I forget that you’re still sore, especially down there, let’s eat. I am hungry as well,” he told her after, and stood up from his seat with her.
“Put me down, I can walk.” Celina told him and he did. After, he gave her a quick kiss and they went down to the dining room and had their brunch.
Without Celina knowing, Jefferson had already asked someone to look into those people who made nasty comments about his wife. He didn’t want to let the thing go just like what Celina had told him. He believes that whoever it was that did that, will never stop and will do it again in the future if he doesn’t stop them.
The next morning, the news that Celina was expecting to pass had been more nastier and Jefferson didn’t like that at all. “Do something about it, your wife has been bashed on the internet.” John told Jefferson.
“I know that, dad. I have already been working on it since yesterday and I will make sure to make whoever did it pay,” he replied. His dad never called him even for business matters. It was always Jefferson who did that, but because of Celina’s issues, John couldn’t help but call his son because he was worried that Celina would get hurt about everything that was written on the internet.
“Yesterday, and yet you didn’t have the answer until now? Are you slacking because it was your wife’s mattress and you didn’t want to help her out?” he asked angrily.
“Of course not!!” Jefferson exclaimed. “I talked to her yesterday and she didn’t want me to do anything about it because she knew that none of those were true, but I still did ask someone to look into it and find out who was the one behind those comments,” he told him.
“You better be sure because I don’t want her to think that I am or you are not taking care of her.” John said, “You know that I like her so much and I didn’t want anything to hurt or happen to her. She’s very fragile and she needs all the protection we can offer.” he added, and Jefferson couldn’t help but laugh. “What are you laughing about?” John asked.
“My wife is not fragile, well she is when it’s just us in our room. Celina is one hell of a tough woman and you know that. She’s not the type to bother with what other people think or see her, she only lives for herself.” he replied, and John admired his son for knowing that. And the fact that he knew Celina, especially coming from him, was fragile when they were alone together, he started to hope for a grandchild.
“Fragile when you’re alone, shall I expect a grandchild anytime soon?” he asked, teasing.
“You could say that,” he replied, and John was the happiest.
“I am so proud of you, I know that you will be able to like her if you do not love her. But I am pretty sure that you two are on the way there. Just continue the respect and everything comes naturally.” he said and Jefferson agreed. Their call had ended and he thought about what John had said. He, too, started to look forward to their child and he couldn’t help but smile at the thought.
Celina was in their house working on her project and was looking at the internet from time to time. She started to get worried as many people were already accusing her of something she was not. She thought that he was not a celebrity or showed up in any kind of event other than the anniversary party of Mr. Sunji, so she wondered why they were saying those words to her.
She’s not the type to think about what people tell her, but the comment was getting alarming for her. “Hello, what happened? Why are there so many nasty comments on you on the internet?” Cindy asked as soon as she answered her call.
“I don’t know either. It started yesterday and I didn’t give much thought to it because there’s no way that they know me because I am not the type of person to socialize.” she replied.
“Yeah, I know that. Then who the hell was spreading those bad rumors about you?” she asked, worriedly.
“Jefferson wanted to do something about it yesterday but I stopped him thinking it would just pass. But it turned out I was wrong. It was getting worse.”
“You should have let him, he will surely find out who was behind those attacks on you.” Cindy suggested and that’s what she was thinking about doing.
“Alright, I better call him now.” Celina replied and ended their call. Then she stared at her phone and was having second thoughts about calling her husband. She was thinking that she had the nerve to stop him yesterday and yet she’s calling him now.
After a long thought, she decided to call him and was about to dial his number when it rang. She smiled when she saw Jefferson’s name on the screen and answered it immediately.
“You miss me so much that you answered my call really fast?” he asked as soon as she said hello.
“I just finished talking to Cindy and was about to put down my phone when you called,” she replied instead of telling him the truth.
“Can’t you be true to yourself?” he asked.
“I am telling the truth. Cindy called me about the internet thing and asked me what I am going to do about it.” she answered.
“Fine, if you say so,” Jefferson replied. “How are you doing now?” he asked after.
“Fine, busy with work. You?”
“Fine too, I have been working on your issues that you wanted to ignore, but I don’t think it would be better that way,” he answered, and Celina sighed. Jefferson thought that she still didn’t want him to do anything about it so he added, “It’s not gonna stop unless we do something about it.”
“I know that now,” Celina replied. “I actually wanted to ask you to look into it and find out who was behind it.” she added. Jefferson felt relieved that he heard it from her. He thought that she had started to get comfortable with him, so she asked him that.
“You know that I am going to do it even if you don’t ask,” he replied.
“Thank you,”
“The result will be a little late but I promise that we will get into the bottom of this and will definitely find whoever it was that spread those rumors about you.” Jefferson assures her and Celina feels happy about it. She finally feels the feeling of having a family who will be with her in times of trouble. Because of that, she thinks of naughty things in return for his help.
“If you do that, then I might agree to everything you want” she said, and Jefferson’s smile became a grin.
“You mean everything?” he asked, teasing.
“As long as I can do it or I can afford it,” she replied, smiling. She was glad that they were only talking over the phone and he didn’t see how excited she was already.
“Of course, you can do it.” Jefferson replied, and Celina’s face turned red. They continued talking until Daria called Jefferson for a small meeting with the administrative department.
Celina continued on her project and didn’t mind about the internet because she believed in Jefferson. She knew that he would be able to find whoever he was defaming her. At the end of the day, all she wanted was for Jefferson to believe in her and nothing more.
Jefferson had a short meeting with his admin staff and received a result from the investigator he asked to look at Celina’s matter. He had a friend in Kenom that he could actually ask for help, but he decided to hire someone because he knew that whoever did it was not that good. Another thing is, Mark recommended the agency to him.
He was looking at the email that the investigator had sent him and he started to get furious seeing the names of those people that were against his wife. “So it was them,” he said to himself. The Nicholson couple, Xia and Wendy. He will make sure that they will pay more than the damage they did. With that, he started making calls.
