Book:Dirty Affairs (Matured Content) Published:2024-6-2

Many days have passed. Even though the doctors had told Ace that Sophia’s oppression was successful, he was still not looking happy because he hadn’t set his eyes on Sophia ever since the oppression was done. The doctor said she needed to heal before anyone could visit her.
It was a brand new day and it was dawn.
The senior doctor waited patiently for this day to come. The day he had long waited for. The day he was ready to tell Ace the other side of the story about Sophia’s face oppression. The doctor didn’t tell Ace about it days ago because he saw that Ace’s temper wasn’t calm and that he was going through emotional stress. He didn’t want to break him down by telling him the bad news.
The doctor requested for Ace’s present at the hospital and he went to know the reason the doctor had requested his presence.
“Good morning doctor.” Ace greeted the doctor with a handshake before taking a seat.
“Good morning. I’m glad you are looking fine.” Said the doctor with a smile.
“Yes, doctor. I am. All thanks to you. I honestly appreciate all you did for myself and the patient I brought to your hospital many days ago.
“You are welcome.” The doctor replied.
“You requested my presence. Hope nothing is wrong?” Ace said and cleared his face, looking serious.
“…” The doctor stayed mute for some time. He cleared his throat before he decided to break the silence.
“The oppression was successful like I told you before…” he said and struggled with words.
“After now, you all can see her…” he added.
Ace was so happy to hear the news. “Really?”
“Yes,” said the doctor.
“Thank you very much, i…” Ace couldn’t finish his statement because the doctor interrupted him.
“But…” he said.
Ace paused, giving the doctor a questionable glance.
“But during the operation, we tried our best and made sure her skin didn’t have any scar… the only way to accomplish that was to change her face. The injury was deep and…” Ace Interrupted.
“You did what?” He questioned in anger.
“I’m sorry but that was the only way to…” Ace Interrupted again.
“That was the only way to do what?” Ace Yelled at the top of his force and stood up from his seat. The doctor also stood up and was trying to calm him down.
“Please, calm down. Let’s talk like men.”
“Huh? Talk like men? You didn’t think about this when you did whatever you did without letting me know. Now you want us to talk like men? There is nothing to talk about!” Ace yelled. He hits his arm on the doctors table, showcasing his anger.
“Sir, there was no time… during the operation, that was when we realized there would be scars on her face if we made use of the damaged face.” The doctor said,
“Wow! Damaged face? You are not professional. I’ll sue you for this.” Said Ace. He brought out his phone and dialled a number and when the call was picked up, he told the person to meet him at the hospital. He told the person the address of the hospital as well.
“Your presence is needed now…” he said and ended the call.
“That’s my lawyer. You will explain to him when he arrives.” Ace threatened.
Ace angrily walked out of the doctor’s office, heading towards the reception. When he got there, he met Cynthia and his men being seated and the moment they set their eyes on him, they knew something was wrong. His face wasn’t looking bright at all.
“Rubbish! I’ll sue you all!” Ace ranted and walked past Cynthia and every other person, as he walked outside Their faces were filled with questions but who would they ask?
Shortly, they saw the doctor running towards Ace. The look on his face showed that he was really worried.
Cynthia thought of walking outside to meet Ace to at least find out, but she got double mind to do so. She saw the fire burning in Ace’s eyes when he walked past them so she thought going to meet him to know what the issue was might end up getting her hurt. Ace might do something stupid so she decided not to go. She continued to seat down while she observed the atmosphere.
After a few minutes, Cynthia saw Ace walking back into the reception as the doctor ran behind him and was saying some words to Ace. It was so obvious the doctor was pleading.
They finally got to where Cynthia sat. “Take me to her.” Said Ace.
“Cynthia…” Ace called Cynthia and she was smart to understand he wanted her to go with him to see Sophia so she immediately stood up and ran towards them as they walked to meet Sophia.
After walking for some seconds, they finally got to the door. Ace watched the doctor push the door open, ushering them in.
Cynthia and Ace walked in and their eyes saw a body lying down on the hospital bed with piles of bandage wrapped around her face.
