Zeux’s P. O. V.
I’m looking at Vanessa right now, who is intently reading the papers in front of her table. I started looking at her for a minute and now I’m staring at her for almost an hour.
“Isn’t Vanessa absolutely stunning?”
When Jason appears in my line of sight, I almost jump. “What the hell are you doing?” I yelled angrily.
His pupils dilated. “Ha? What are you talking about? I’m not doing anything wrong.”
I leave without answering Jason’s question. Actually, I’m not in the mood to work right now. It’s just that I’m feeling a little lazy today. All I want to do is sleep, but as I was about to go get some coffee, I noticed Vanessa and something in me became energetic. Jason entered my office and smirked at me as I sat in my swivel chair.
“Why are you treating me like this? I mean, you’re bossy and irritated when you talk to me while in Vanessa, you’re like a good dog or something, I mean a good man.”
I just raise an eyebrow at him and move my gaze to the papers I need to sign. Today, I have many investors, our company has grown in popularity, and I have made a lot of money this year. As a result, many businessmen want to collaborate with us.
“Hey, I just wanted to tell you about Vanessa.”
I immediately turn to face him. “Woah! You’re being active when our topic is about that woman!” he laughed.
“Shut the f*ck up, Jason. You’re just bothering me.”
“Oh really? I don’t believe you’re working hard right now. Could it be Vanessa that comes to mind? Are you thinking of her? Are you in love with her? Wow!” He exclaimed.
I shot him a death stare. “I’m not thinking of her or in love with her. I’m just concerned about her because I want to repay what her parents have done for me. I appreciate her parents, and all I need to do to show my appreciation is to look after their daughter.”
His expression darkened. “All right, then, I really hope you fall in love again, so you can be a slightly better man.”
I look at him, puzzled. “What do you mean? Am I not a better man? Am I not a good man to you? How dare you say that to me!”
He bursts out laughing. “No, that’s not what I mean. Okay, I guess it’s not going to be okay, so I’d better leave right now. See you later, Zeux.” He comes out to my office right away.
I sighed, my gaze fixed on the papers in front of me. I walk out to my office and ask one of my employees to make me some coffee. The coffee arrives in a minute.
“What the f*ck? Don’t you know how to make a coffee? This is f*cking ridiculous!” I exclaimed to my female employee.
She trembles and bows her head. “I’m sorry, Sir. I’ll make a new one.”
“Go! Don’t make it so sweet, idiot. What a moron! You don’t know how to make coffee? Really, huh?”
She looks as if she’s about to cry. “I sincerely apologize, Sir.”
She rushes out to my office to get me a cup of coffee. I exhaled after pressing my head. That type of employee irritates me greatly. I want everyone to be flawless. It’s a simple task, but she didn’t complete it perfectly.
Vanessa walked into my office a few minutes ago, holding a folder in her hand. Because there are so many papers on my table, I ask her to file them correctly according to the date. From the past to the present. She smiled at me and handed me the folder.
“Here are the papers. I’ve already filed them in accordance with what you said.”
I cracked a smile. “Thank you very much, Vanessa.”
She only nodded. “All right, welcome Sir. I’ll be right back. Bye, Sir.”
She rushes out to my office. I clench my fist. I didn’t even invite her to lunch. I just shook my head and picked up the folder she handed me. I check it and it is perfectly file up. My employee then returns with a new cup of coffee.
“Here’s your coffee, Sir,” she said, not looking at me.
When I taste it, it drives me insane. “What the f*ck is this? There’s no taste! How could you not know how to make a coffee? It’s such a simple task, but you can’t do it perfectly?! You’re fired! Go away! Leave my office now!” I yelled at her.
“I’m sorry, Sir. I’m not used to drinking coffee, so I don’t know how to make it. Please don’t fire me. I can’t lose my job, Sir; I’m a single mother with three children.”
I cocked my brow. “Really? You’re already a mother, and you can’t make a simple cup of coffee? What kind of mother are you?!”
Her tears started to fall. She’s already crying in front of me, which irritates me even more. I don’t want a stup*d or even a weak employee.
“I’m sorry, Sir, I forgot to include this on–” Vanessa didn’t finish her sentence before turning to face my employee.
She ran over her and looked at me with murderous eyes. “What are you doing, Sir? Why is she crying?” she demanded angrily.
I sucked. “I-I’m not doing anything wrong to her! She just cries and I’m not sure why. Maybe she can’t accept the fact that she is stupid. It’s just a simple coffee, but she didn’t make it right. What can you say about that?”
“What did you say? A stup*d? What a nice boss you are! Why are you so arrogant and proud of yourself? Why are you so rude to your employees? Didn’t you know that if you don’t have employees, you can’t earn a lot of money? You can’t have this huge company! At the very least, be a nice boss! Just a little bit. Treat them as a friend of your company who helps you earn more money, not just an employee.”
What she said almost stunned me. That was unexpected. She’s staring at me as if she’s about to murder me. I feel like I’m going to bow my head to avoid seeing her angry face and murderer look.
“Why are you acting like that, Sir? Did you just fire her for what she did?”
I shook my head immediately. “No, I didn’t fire her. I just yelled at her. My head hurts, and it causes me to be upset, which is why I act this way.” I gulped and looked away, hoping my alibi works on her.
She grins. “So you’re angry with her because of that? You took your anger out on her?”
I scratched my chin and forced a smile at her. “No, that is not right.”
She takes a deep breath and looks me in the eyes. “Next time, Sir. Be careful what words you say to others because you may hurt them. Words are a powerful weapon against others and can sometimes kill a person.” When she finished her sentence, she grabbed my employee’s hand and led her out to my office.
I left here dumbfounded. I’m still staring at the door in my office.
