Last dinner

I told her, “Amelia, you could have called me, I would have taken care of it, and why did you suffer so much.”
Her body was full of bruises; I am sure my father must have beaten her to make her agree to sleep with his business partner.
She was sobbing and said in between, “I didn’t want you to be exposed.”
I hugged her tightly; I never thought that, aloof, Amelia loves me so much. Now I will protect her with my life.
I never noticed that when I used to cry after my Mum’s death, she was always around and tried to divert my mind so that I wouldn’t cry.
I had a second Mom beside me, which I never noticed.
Jane’s POV
I reached home in the next ten minutes; I helped Amelia to come out of the car. She was trembling in fear.
It pained my heart to see her like this; I have always seen her standing strong and aloof; I vowed myself to protect her with all my power.
She suffered this much because of me; now, it’s my turn to give her happiness in life.
I took her to one of the guestrooms, helped her to take a bath, and applied medicines on her bruises.
And brought her downstairs for dinner; I don’t want her to stay alone. So I brought her downstairs, where my princess was already waiting for me.
Looking at Ancy, Amelia looked at me, puzzled; I smiled and said, “She is my daughter, Ancy.”
She had a warm smile on her face; she waved to Ancy to come closer to her and hugged her, and said slowly, “She is so cute.”
I was happy to see her smiling again; staying with us will bring her out of her trauma.
We had a peaceful dinner; after that, I made my princess and Amelia sleep and went back to my bedroom.
Marco’s POV
It’s been so many days, and I continued sending bouquets to my Angel, but every time I got in reply was a video in the mail, in which my bouquet was thrown ruthlessly in the dustbin.
I am also reluctant; I shamelessly kept on sending the bouquet every day. But I think my Angel will not melt with just flowers; now I need to meet her and apologize.
Today the bouquet, which I sent, I wrote down the message, “Angel, you are still my wife, if you want to move on; first we need to divorce.”
I am sure she will definitely call me after this, and as expected, my phone rang, and it was my Angel’s call.
I had called her uncountable times, but she never picked my call, but I was still happy that she didn’t block me.
I received the call and heard my Angel’s angelic voice from another side of the phone, “Mr. Walter, what do you mean by we are not divorced?”
I smiled, heard her voice, and said, “Angel, if you want to discuss divorce meet me at the café near my office.”
She said, “Send me the address” and hung up the call; my Angel has grown a lot of temper in these three years.
I immediately sent her the address and headed towards the café happily; I reached earlier than her; after some time, she came, followed by her bodyguards.
She looked so beautiful that I forgot to greet her. She came and sat in front of me and said, “Mr. Walter, come to the point.”
I smiled and said, “Angel, our”
She cut me off, “It’s Miss Smith.”
I smiled and said, “You are still my wife, and I can call my wife whatever I want.”
“I am ready to sign the divorce papers; just let me know the date and time to sign it,” she said coldly.
I replied, “Yes, that’s right; I have signed the divorce papers, but you have not signed it.”
She said, sipping her coffee, “then what’s stopping Mr. Walter from signing the divorce agreement? Sign it, and let’s end this so-called fake marriage.”
I know I have faked our marriage, but our certificates are real and my love for her is real, it hurt me when she said ‘so-called marriage.’
I cannot blame her for this; I am solely responsible for all this.
I smiled and said, “All right, Angel, if you want me to sign that document, meet me tomorrow and let’s have our last dinner together, but you should come alone without your bodyguards, and don’t worry about your safety, I will protect you with my life if needed.”
She said, “I just hope after this dinner, Mr. Walter will not bother me anymore in the future.”
I nodded; she stood up and left. I smiled and murmured to myself, “Sorry to trick you, Angel, but I don’t have any other ways; after this dinner, you will be mine again and forever.”
Jane’s POV
The moment I left the café, I called someone and said, “Everything is going as per the plan.”
Marco’s POV
After leaving the café, I was running out of patience. I wished today’s day would end soon, and tomorrow comes fast. I will have my Angel back in my life. I can’t wait any longer to have her in my arms.
To see her beautiful face every morning when I wake up, have my breakfast with her, share each and every moment of my life with her, I was happy with my imagination.
I went back to my office to finish my work and do the preparations for tomorrow.
Soon it was day end and headed home, and again I saw the little princess playing in the garden.
I smiled, thinking; soon I will also have a cute daughter like her with my Angel, we will have many kids, my kids will be lovely just like my Angel.
Today I didn’t play with Ancy, I had a lot of preparations to do, to welcome my Angel back in my life.
I reached home and had dinner, I started making calls to different people to make sure everything was fine.
