Noah let out a small smile. “I collected the CCTV recording from the owner of the restaurant. Boss, she had mistaken Vincent for you.”
Joel looked up at him and swallowed again. It was indeed true, she had said CEO Joel in the video.
Noah nodded his head, “Boss she loves you indeed.”
Noah took time to explain himself. “She has nothing to do with Vincent. She met him the same day she met you.”
He grinned. “You are safe, Boss. The woman you love loves you.”
Joel swallowed again and stared intensely at the tablet in his hand. She loved him.
So, all of those things she said whenever she was drunk, were indeed true-she loved him. It was him she loved-Him-Joel.
He gasped happily and looked up at Noah.
“You… This video, she loves me? She truly loves me?” He chortled.
“Nde.” Noah bobbed his head.
Joel nodded his head and handed the tablet over to Noah.
Saying he was over joyous was an understatement; he was pleased. He was now fulfilled.
Emily was now, indeed, his woman. His, and his alone. The future madam of Empire World Corporations.
Noah made to say something to his boss but then he kicked against it, his boss didn’t need to know about it. He would tell him later, not now that his boss was in a glorious mood.
Joel smiled broadly, “Ahhh, I’m fulfilled-remind me to give you an increase in your pay.”
“Yes, Boss.” Noah bowed.

Vincent arched his brow, his phone on his ear. “You are set right?”
“Ye.” the voice on the other side of the call replied.
“Good. Do it the time I told you to.” Vincent spoke into the earpiece.
“Nde.” the voice replied.
Vincent nodded his head like the person he was on the phone with could see him and hung up.
He placed around for a while and sat down on his chair, rocking it gently as he tapped his fingers on his desk.

“Unnie, what’s wrong?” Min Ah asked.
She had been watching her boss since morning and with the look that had been on her face, she was sure something was wrong with her boss.
Emily shook her head. “Ande, it’s nothing.”
Of course, it was something, she was worried sick about Joel.
At first, when she woke up the previous day and walked into the kitchen to drink water, after discussing s e things with Michael, she had asked him where Joel was; and Michael had told her that he had gone to the office because he had so many things to do.
He had gone to the office, on a weekend?!! Because he had so many things to do? Emily found it unbelievable, but she shrugged it off.
But later in the night, when Joel was still yet to get back from the office, she had dialed his number and it had rung off five consecutive times, but he didn’t answer. Now, Emily found that suspicious.
Emily had waited for him all night but Joel hadn’t gone back to the villa, he had slept in the lounge in his office.
Emily had then concluded her new boyfriend was avoiding her… she was used to it anyway, her previous boyfriends had also always avoided her…
Emily puffed out her cheeks and groaned. She stared at Min Ah who was watching her silently from where she sat and something popped into my head.
“Ermm, Min Ah, can I ask you something?”
Min Ah who had been waiting for that sentence for ages grinned. “Yes, unnie. Ask me already.”
Emily propped herself up on one elbow, “hum… a friend of a friend-not me…, a friend of a friend started dating a guy like three days ago.. and the guy has been avoiding her… do you think the girl is at fault?..”
“Erm… big sister, that friend of your friend, did she do anything wrong to her boyfriend?” Min Ah asked.
“Huh? Aniii. She did nothing wrong.”
Min Ah narrowed her eyes, tilted her head to the right, and nodded her head as slowly as she could. “Ahhhh.”
“The guy probably lost interest in her..” She replied.
“Mbo?” Emily blinked.
Min Ah shrugged her shoulders. “Yeah, think about it, Sis. Why would he avoid her when she did nothing wrong-he definitely lost interest in that person.”
Emily furrowed her brows thoughtfully-she was right; her personal assistant was right.
Her exes, after avoiding her for a while, would end up breaking up with her.
Emily’s face fell as she chewed a corner of her lips.
She was deep in thought when she heard her phone ring, she rummaged through her bag and brought out her phone.
Caller’s ID: ARROGANT CEO!!!
She had forgotten to change the name she saved her boyfriend’s contact with on her phone.
Emily bit her lower lip nervously as she stared at the screen of her phone. Ahe dropped the phone and put it on silence.
She had been eagerly waiting for that call since the day before. But after she heard what Min Ah told her, she dreaded the time the call would come in, and it had.
She wasn’t going to pick that call. He was calling to break up with her just like the rest.
She wouldn’t pick his calls. Never.
Min Ah’s eye twinkled slightly as she watched her cute boss. “Unnie…”
“Why aren’t you picking your calls? This is the ninth time it’s ringing.” She asked.
Emily coughed nervously. “Ahhh.”
“It’s my brother’s cousin that’s… I mean, it’s my cousin’s brother-my cousin-yes, my cousin… it’s my cousin that’s calling me; just for fun.” Emily managed to blurt out.
“Ahhhh.” Min Ah nodded her head.
Emily huffed as she watched the call ring off the ninth time.
Maria rushed in, panting heavily. “Emily,”
“Nde?” Emily turned looked up at her manager.
Maria stretched out her handphone in it. “Hum, Mr. Noah, the CEO’s P. A, wants to speak with you.”
Emily gulped and the pace at which her heartbeat increased. She knew that as soon as she speaks into the earpiece of that phone, Noah would hand over his phone to his boss. She knew the call was a scam.
“Ahhh, my leg!” Emily let out a shriek and hastily grabbed her left leg.
She let go of her leg and grabbed on her neck. “My neck!!”
She quickly placed her hand on her tummy; “my stomach!!!”
Maria dropped her phone on her desk and placed her right hand on Emily’s shoulder. “Huh? Emily, what’s wrong?”
“I can feel headache in my stomach. Aahh, no… it’s a stomach pain on my neck.” Emily grimaced.
Min Ah scrunched up her face, stomach pain on her neck?.. that was weird.
???★★★???★★???★★★???
Joel raised one of his brows as he looked up at his assistant.
“Boss… Mrs. Maria said she couldn’t hand over the phone to her because she was complaining of a stomach pain around her neck.” Noah shrugged.
“Stomach pain around her neck?…?” Joel furrowed his brows.
Dammit! the girl was pretending. She was punishing him for not contacting her at all the previous day.
Joel chuckled softly and shook his head. What was he to do to make her forgive him…
They would meet at home.

Maria sighed as she placed her palm on Emily’s forehead. “Emily are you okay now?”
Emily smiled and nodded her head, “Yes, thank you, Aunty Maria.”
Maria smiled and nodded her too. “When you get home, make sure you get some rest okay?”
“Nde.” Emily grinned.
“Unnie, but a stomach pain around your neck?” Min Ah was still not convinced.
Like how on Earth was that possible.
Emily sneered playfully and looked up at Maria.
Her mouth curled up in a small smile, “Sis Maria, I hope managing me has not been giving you problems?”
Maria chuckled softly as she walked over to her office chair. “Ahhh, managing you is sooo problematic.”
Emily frowned her face.
“That reminds me,” She pauses. “Emily, do you need me to talk to the president about the CEO’s documentary?-you know he is the CEO’s brother.” Maria asked wearily.
Emily let out a peal of awkward laughter. “Ahhh, Sis Maria, you don’t need to worry yourself about that.”
“Well, that’s true, since you are close to the CEO’s asisstant…” Maria smiled.
Emily coughed and laughed a short awkward laugh, “Ahhhh”
Maria gritted her teeth playfully, “Anyways, your schedule for tomorrow…”
“you are going to be having a duo news broadcast with Stephanie by 9 pm.”
“Ahhhhahhhhn…” Emily and Min Ah groaned.
“Yeah, I was like that too when the director told me to let’s do it that way. The public wants to know the real Queen of Broadcast between the both of you…” Maria paused.
“But come to think of it, after this duo broadcast, people still won’t get satisfied… Well, just be careful.” Maria urged.
“Uhn..” Emily pouted and nodded her head.
She only needed to endure till the broadcast was over.
Maria puckered her mouth as she skimmed through Emily’s schedule list on the tablet in her hand, “And you have a news broadcast tonight by 9 pm to be exact.”
“So, let’s go get prepared-Min Ah, up!” Maria dropped the tablet in her bag and clapped her hand.
“Ahhh, I’m hungry, Unnie can’t you tell the person that sent that chef the other day to send him again?” Min Ah yawned as the trio Maria playfully pushed her and Emily out of the office.

Stephanie scrunched up the sheet in her hand and threw it away. “A duo broadcast with that vixen?!”
“Stephanie you are taking that girl for granted. She’s lasting more than we thought she would.” Carmen breathed out wearily.
“What insolence!” Stephanie thundered angrily.
