TWENTY-FOUR HOURS EARLIER
The massive gate of the five-star hotel parted open, and a flashy black car sped in.
Five guards ran after the car from behind as it drove into the garage.
When the car came to a stop, one of the guards rushed to the passengers’ side of the car and opened the door, holding it open for the passenger to exit.
Leonardo came out of the car. He was looking so sexy with the way he held his leather jacket by the side of his broad shoulder and left the four buttons of his white t-shirt undone, revealing his muscular chest and the expensive gold chain he had on his neck.
He has an obvious poker face that shows all seriousness and his gaze looks like it could kill.
“Summon Marcus to my office,” Leonardo said coldly to the guard who was holding the door to the car open for him.
The man bowed and said, “Yes, sir,” before he locked the door and raced into the hotel.
Two guards stood beside Leonardo as he came out from the garage and strode towards the entrance of the hotel.
“Everyone, maintain yourself! Leonardo is here,” The guard, whom Leonardo had sent on an errand, alerted from inside the hotel, and within a second, everyone coordinated themselves in their various position.
The maids formed a straight line and marched forward, towards the entrance of the hotel. They arranged themselves on either side of the hotel door in a queue with their heads slightly bowed and their hands clasped together in front of their body as they awaited for Leonardo’s presence. The maids were all dressed in uniforms; a black knee-length gown and a short white apron tied around their waists with a pair of rubber gloves on both their hands. Their hair were neatly arranged in neat buns, and a small lace cap was attached to their head.
The door automatically opened and the guards stayed back and waited outside while Leonardo stride into the hotel villa.
“Welcome sir”, the maids greeted in unison to welcome his presence.
Leonardo halted, ignoring the maid greetings. He looks around the hotel, observing it; the whole hotel was sparkling clean without any single guest or employees wandering around where they aren’t supposed to be. He admired how well-organized everywhere was, just how he imagined it to be whenever his around. He doesn’t want a crowd of people staring at him or admiring him.
“Get to work, everyone!” He ordered icily and the maids departed from his presence in a haste.
Leonardo tilts his head to look at the receptionist, whom had her head bowed slightly, along with the other employees. Everyone fears and respects him. They dare not look him in the eyes without his permission, or else they lose their job and get punished for it.
“Sofia, to my office, now!” Leonardo said before he heads to the elevator.
The elevator automatically opens, and he enters. He pressed a button, and the elevator closed before it activated and slowly rose up to the top floor.
The elevator reached the top floor and the door opened with a ding.
Leonardo walked out and headed towards his office. His office door was half open, giving the impression that someone was inside. He pushed the door to his office opened and walked in to see Marcus arranging some files on his desk.
Marcus stopped what he was doing when he noticed Leonardo’s presence. He bowed his head slightly as he greets. “Welcome, sir,” he said.
“Are the documents ready?” Leonardo asked as he made his way towards the desk.
Marcus adjusted the swivel chair and stepped backward. “Yes, sir,” he responded as Leonardo took off his suit from his shoulder and draped it on the arm-chair before he sat down.
Leonardo turned on the laptop in front of him.
Marcus moves from behind the chair, where he was standing and stood beside him. “Sir, Matteo appointed me for this job,” he remarked.
Leonardo turns his head to face Marcus and casts him a cold glare like a warning sign.
Marcus shuddered in fear and didn’t dare utter a word again; he just watched.
Leonardo averted his gaze from Marcus and opened the documents in the laptop, and the names of the applicants were displayed on the screen.
“Nice,” Leonardo mumbled as he scroll through the names and pictures of the applicants until he came across a familiar face; it was the picture of Isabella. He smiled devilishly. He knew he would surely find her, and it wasn’t that hard. He would have rejected her application to work in the hotel since she doesn’t have the qualifications that he needed for her to work for his company. He needed someone slim, curvy, and attractive, but she is far from it. In the photo, she is chubby and dressed in a red dress with her afro hair all packed up in two buns.
He was determined to see her again and he wouldn’t want to miss this opportunity, would he? So he had no choice but to accept her application to work in his hotel instead.
“Thank you, Matteo, for making me come to work on your behalf.” He said inwardly with a smirk on his face. He wouldn’t have accept to come to this hotel if it wasn’t to find Isabella. “Isabella Laurenza,” Leonardo read her name on her profile, still maintaining the devilish smirk on his face. “What do you think?” he asked Marcus, referring to the picture of Isabella on his laptop.
“Sir, she isn’t fit to get the job,” Marcus responded honestly after taking a brief look at the picture on the laptop.
He was right; Isabella isn’t fit to get the job. Leonardo was strict when it came to hiring more employees; he always had a specific type, which included that the applicant must be hot and sexy in order to attract more customers.
At this point, Leonardo was left with no choice. He wanted to show her what it means to provoke him. He clicked on the acceptance button, and immediately the email was sent to her.
Marcus, who stood beside him, widened his eyes in shock. He couldn’t believe Leonard has accepted the woman’s application to work in the hotel. That was so low of him! Or could it be that his taste in women has suddenly changed? He was well aware that Leonardo despises chubby women, so why did he hire her? “This isn’t good,” he thought.
“Tell the guard to let her in when she comes,” Leonardo said curtly.
“Isabella?” Marcus asked, wanting to be sure he was talking about her.
“Yes, “Leonardo responds.
Marcus bowed his head slightly. “Ok, sir,” he said before he exited the office.
Soon, the door to his office opened, and Sofia, the receptionist, came in. She had a file and a pen in her arm. She was sweating and breathing heavily because she took the stairs. Although, the air conditioner in the office was able to dry off the sweat in her body and calm her down before she approached the table.
“Tell the secretary that I will be conducting the interview today,” he says without looking at her. His gaze is locked on Isabella’s picture on his laptop screen.
“Okay, sir,” Sofia says as she gets to the table and places the files on the desk. “Is there anything else… that I can do for you, sir?” She asked while biting out her lips slowly in a seductive way.
“Yes,” Leonardo responded.
