“I am so sorry,” Isabella apologized sadly, since she was at fault for coming late.
“Tisss… sorry for yourself.” Sofia said with a sneer. She rose from her chair, straightening her skirt and clicking her strapped high heels against the glossy floor as she exited the table.
Isabella peered down to examine the lady when she came out. She was dressed in a short, fitted pencil skirt that clung to her hips and flowed with the contour of her firm ass. The skirt was far too short for her, barely covering her creamy thighs. As Sofia walked forward, she could see the crack of her ass through the skirt and it was apparent that she had no panties on.
Isabella felt like it was none of her business to confront the lady about the way she dressed, so she simply followed her to the elevator.
The lady’s long hair was packed all up in a high ponytail and it swayed in the air as she moved her head. “You can either take the elevator to the top floor or the stairs to the CEO’s office. Good luck,” Sofia said, then heads to the receptionist table.
“CEO?” Isabella asked unexpectedly which caused the receptionist lady stop in her tracks.
Sofia tilted her head towards Isabella’s direction. “You should consider yourself lucky or unlucky that you’re going to be interviewed today by the CEO”, She remarked with a sly smile before she turned and returned back to her work table.
Isabella felt her heart ache inside, and her hand suddenly turned cold. She hoped she would be able to get the job since she had no idea who hotel’s owner was and also hoped she would find favor in his eyes and get the job since it was more important to her.
Isabella stared at the stairs; it would be a journey to the top, so she took the elevator.
The two huge bodyguards standing at the elevator’s entrance, who were still dressed in uniform like the same men outside, made way for her to go in. She pressed the button, and the elevator opened before she stepped in. She pressed the No. 16 button, which was the top floor, and it closed.
The elevator activated and sped up to the top floor, sending her heart into a frenzy. It wasn’t her first time inside an elevator, but the speed scared her, and she was the only one in the elevator.
The elevator halted at the sixteenth floor with a “ding” before opening, and she stepped out into the beautiful and quiet narrow hallway that leads straight to the “CEO’s” office.
As Isabella approached the CEO’s office, she fiddled with her finger, her heart pounding hard against her chest, concerned that she was the only one here for the interview. Could it be that she is late? Well, even though she is, it is to her benefit since she wouldn’t have to spend a long time waiting for her turn on an empty stomach.
Isabella arrived at the door of the office and then began contemplating on what to say when she enters the office.
Isabella looked up at the door tag that stated “The CEO’s Office,” indicating that she was in right place.
Isabella took a deep, soothing breath and exhaled, her face expressionless since she felt she needed to keep a serious look to get the job.
Isabella knocked twice, firmly, at the door, expecting a response from inside, which she got.
“Get in and shut the door behind you.” A gruff voice responded from within.
He didn’t even bother to ask who was at the door which seems to her that he had been expecting her for a long time. Isabella gulped, the familiar tone of his voice scared her. He sounded as if he was in a bad mood. She got the feeling she had heard this voice before and it made her uncomfortable.
Isabella inhaled and exhaled, biting her lips just to calm her body that was quivering against her will. She needed this job; she also needed the money, and she was determined to get it. She had no choice but to reach for the door handle and cautiously open it before entering inside the office.
She got chills all over her body when she was smelled the familiar, strong cologne. Isabella couldn’t help but inhale; it felt so overwhelming and appealing.
The office itself was exquisite, bright, clean, and spacious. She could spot other tall buildings through the glass-walled window from where she stood.
Isabella looked at the man seated on a swivel chair; a laptop was on top of the desk and open in front of him, blocking Isabella’s view of his face. The man appears to be preoccupied. He was too preoccupied with what he was doing with his laptop that he couldn’t look up to see her face.
Isabella forced a grim on her lips to appear pleasant. She cleared her throat just to get his attention.
“Introduce yourself,” he instructs. The tone of his voice abruptly changed to a more soothing tone.
“Sir, my name is Isabella Laurenza, and I am here for the interview,” Isabella introduced herself, and the man extended his hand to close his laptop, revealing his face to her.
The man raised his face to look at her and when Isabella’s eyes met his brown, sparkling eyes, her smile faded and was replaced with a startled expression. She stared at him as if she had seen a ghost.
“We meet again, fatty.” He said huskily, with a smug look on his face as he leans back on the arm of his swivel chair and crossed one leg over the other.
