Audrey’s lips curved in a smile “Too bad, that ain’t gonna happen” she puffed some air into the wind and turned to Chace “nothing is going to stop this wedding but it sure going to be a wedding to remember for everyone especially Georgina” Audrey added. Chace scoffed staring at her. “Then it’s no deal, I intend to stop the marriage and I’m going to do it my own way even if it means killing the groom to achieve it” Audrey’s eyes widened and she quickly shook her head knocking off the silly thoughts her subconscious were feeding her with.
She glanced at Chace who was walking beside her “hope you’ve got no weapons there” Audrey asked trying to be sure if someone was going to die today then it would be Lindsey, not her Keith. “No, my presence is enough to ruin everything” he boasted making Audrey snicker. If only he knew his presence won’t do much than leaving a mark that Georgina could easily wipe off with money, he wouldn’t be so full of himself.
“He’s with me, I just found out he’s Keith’s schoolmate,” Audrey said looking into the security guard’s eyes. He wanted to object but then Audrey spoke again. “You can call Keith to confirm, I’m his best friend so I know all his friends” The security guard looked from Audrey to Chace, he wasn’t fully convinced but he decided to let them in.
“Don’t do anything until the reverend asks for objection” Audrey warned Chace while showing him to his seat. “Why?, I think the earlier I say something the better for me” Chace said. “Look around, your name isn’t on the invite list and you are going to get kicked out and nobody would listen to you no matter what you say, just do it at the perfect time, that way you would get everyone’s attention including the attention of the press,” Audrey said and walked away before GE could say any other thing.
The wedding started and the guests settled down waiting for the bride to enter, Angela was proud and happy as ever and she made sure to say hello to her the elites informing them she was the bride’s mother.
As Lindsey walked into the wedding hall alongside Leen her maid of honour and other bridal maids, everyone stood up to welcome her and Angela won’t stop glancing at Katherine, she had made sure she invited her together with the other members of the Roach family who belittled her and her daughter. She wanted to spite them and let them know that her daughter would forever be better than theirs. “Just look at how elegant she looks, walking to her prince charming, what a perfect couple they would be” Angela whispered to Katherine hearing. Katherine scoffed “I wonder how perfect they would be if I tell them how Lindsey seduced and slept with her step sisters husband” Katherine sniffled. “That’s not going to change anything, just so you know Keith loves my daughter and he wouldn’t mind her past because the past and everything related to it can’t affect the love he has for her” Angela snapped. Katherine tried to respond but Angela shushed her before she could say anything. “Shush, my darling is about to say her vows, don’t be a wedding spoiler” Angela rolled her eyes and turned to the stage clapping her hands just like the other guests. Katherine stared at her and then at Lindsey and Keith, she wanted to snap at Angela but she knew that whatever she says now, Angela would definitely shade her for it and she might end up getting kicked out of the wedding. Katherine gritted her teeth mumbling some words before she finally smiled letting go of the anger.
The guests all sat down and all eyes turned to Lindsey and Keith, the Reverend stood in front of them as they faced each other. “Ms. Lindsey Roach, say your marital vows,” He said looking at her. “I Lindsey Roach take thee, Keith Winslow, as my lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, in poor and in riches until death do us apart,” Lindsey said with her right hand on the air. The reverend turned to Keith and said. “Mr. Keith Winslow, say your marital vows” Keith hesitated for a while, he glanced at Lindsey and then at Georgina. he took in a deep breath raising his right hand to the air, he began “I Lindsey Roach take thee, Keith Winslow, as my lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, in poor and in riches until death do us apart” The whole guest began to clap. Leen and Nathan, Keith’s best friend walked towards the holding the ring.
“Does anyone have any objections as to why this marriage can’t happen?” The reverend asked. “I do_” two voices were heard from the back and everyone turned to see the owners including Keith and Lindsey. It was Chace and Mrs. Hales
“Chace?” Lindsey muttered surprised and then glanced at Leen as if asking her what Chace was doing here, she didn’t remember inviting him.
“And who are you both?” The reverend asked surprised. “It doesn’t matter, they are nobody security” Georgina yelled. “I’m Mrs. Hales and my daughter should have been the bride,” Mrs. Hale said and everyone gasped. “Your daughter should have been but she isn’t, things obviously didn’t work out between her and Keith so why create a scene?” Angela asked. The paparazzi were all over them, everyone was confused and murmuring among themselves. “You should let the public be the judge of that after I tell them what is actually going on here,” Mrs. Hales said. She had lost all the respect she had for the Winslow family and didn’t care to know who Angela was.
“That’s good because this wedding can’t and will never happen” Chace began turning all attention to him. He looked at Keith and Lindsey and then continued. “I am Lindsey’s boyfriend” Chace announced and once again the whole guest gasped and began to murmur. Audrey scoffed crossing her leg and arm, she was enjoying the show Chace and Mrs. Hales were putting on and for the first time, she was actually seeing Georgina’s helpless face.
“Ex-boyfriend you mean” Leen was the first to speak. Keith didn’t take his eyes off Lindsey and Lindsey didn’t dare look up at him. Georgina was short of words, she stared at Lindsey surprised. “This man right here stole my girlfriend, he is the reason we broke up and now he wants to marry her,” Chace paused and then walked towards Lindsey. He held her hand and knelt on one kneel, “Babe, I know I might not be as rich as him or even as influential as him but I love you more than he would ever love you and we are meant for each_” Lindsey landed a heavy slap on his cheek making him lose his stigma. Chace fall to the ground as everyone mouthed an ooh.
“You devil, we broke up two years ago” Lindsey yelled angrily. “We broke up because of him” Chace began shamelessly still on the floor, he held his left cheek and turned to Keith using his right hand to point at Keith “he took you away from me, you left me because of his money, we broke up two years ago and that was when you started dating this asshole” Chace fired. Lindsey opened her to defend herself but no words came out of it. The Winslow family had come up with a love story on how she and Keith had met each other and according to that story, they meet two years ago at an art gallery auction event.
“Isn’t it interesting Georgina, your useless son was double dating, after all, no wonder it wasn’t hard for him to find a proxy” Mrs Hales snapped. Georgina stared at her. She has never been so embraced in her lifetime, to think she actually invited top reporters to capture the best wedding of the century only for it to backfire as a scandal. Before Mrs. Hales could say another word, the security alongside the police dragged Mrs. Hales and Chace who kept shouting Lindsey’s name out of the wedding hall.
The two nuisances were gone but the atmosphere became very tense and everyone waited eagerly for what actions the Winslow family would take.
“So much for a perfect wedding” Katherine sniffled giving Angela a mockery look. “And did you miss the part where she said they broke up two years ago” Angela snapped. “No I didn’t and I also heard the part where the young man said she left him because of money, Lindsey left a promising young man for money and fame, sounds like something Angela’s daughter could do,” Katherine said. Angela made to talk but was interrupted by Georgina. “Enough already” She yelled. The noisy hall became as quiet as a graveyard, everyone stopped chit-chatting and turned to look at the angry Georgina.
Georgina stared at them and then at Lindsey, she sized her up for a bit before walking out of the hall. Keith and Thalia followed suit immediately, leaving Lindsey all alone on the stage as a bride who was abandoned by her husband-to-be.
