Book:Marry A Disabled Man Published:2024-6-1

Casey heard Aimee’s words and her anger flared up.
“You despicable woman, spewing such nonsense just to provoke my relationship with Pat. I would do anything for him, of course I would,” Casey retorted, her voice filled with immediate conviction. “But who the hell do you think you are? Ordering me around!”
Aimee snorted, dismissing Casey’s words as mere childish babble.
She glanced down at Patrick and said, “You need to rest for a while. I’ll come over later and give you a massage.”
With that, Aimee prepared to leave.
It had been a tiring day for her, and she had rushed to Patrick’s side as soon as she returned. Now, she needed to take a break and gather her energy. Moreover, she hadn’t yet prepared the potion she intended to give Patrick tonight. If there was any further delay, she would be late in arriving as usual.
Aimee could only use the cover of night to aid Patrick’s treatment since she hadn’t found the person who had harmed him. She couldn’t fully repair the instrument because if that person discovered her, they might panic and resort to extreme measures, directly endangering Patrick’s life.
Therefore, Aimee was racing against time, cherishing every precious night.
She really didn’t have the mood or energy to deal with Casey, a spoiled young lady.
However, Casey had been spoiled by the Haydens after all. Seeing Aimee about to leave, she positioned herself in front of her once again.
But before she could speak this time, Patrick’s cold voice cut through the tension. “Casey, don’t be rude to your sister-in-law.”
Patrick’s words stunned Aimee.
She turned to look at Patrick, unable to believe what she had just heard.
Did he just admit that she was his wife?
Aimee stared at Patrick suspiciously, feeling increasingly perplexed by this man’s unpredictable behavior.
Didn’t he hate her?
What did this mean now?
Protecting her?
Aimee felt bewildered. Almost directly looking into Patrick’s eyes, she almost blurted out, “Are you alright?”
Casey, too, wore a shocked expression as tears welled up instinctively in her eyes.
Aimee had referred to herself as Casey’s sister-in-law. Casey had initially considered this woman shameless.
But now, Patrick had said it himself.
Moreover, Patrick seemed so indifferent to her in favor of this inexplicable woman.
Casey felt deeply wronged as she lashed out at Patrick, “I will never acknowledge her as my sister-in-law!”
With her outburst, Casey stormed out of Patrick’s room without a backward glance.
In that moment, Camdyn was the only one feeling extreme joy in his heart.
He believed he had chosen a wonderful granddaughter-in-law. Look! It had only been a few days, and his grandson had already started to stand up for his wife.
If he waited a little longer, Camdyn was confident that his wish for a great-grandchild would come true.
He needed to hurry and come up with a few more names, both boys and girls, with the surnames Read or Hayden.
He wanted to show his granddaughter-in-law that he was an incredibly open-minded person who didn’t believe children had to bear their father’s surname.
He aspired to be the best great-grandfather in the world.

Elsie had been waiting outside all along, confident that she would be allowed in to meet Patrick with Casey’s confirmation.
But the longer she waited, the more uneasy Elsie became. Casey would never lie to her. What was happening now?
Why hadn’t Casey called her yet?
Riley had already left a while ago, showing no concern for Elsie’s feelings.
He wasn’t worried that Elsie might barge in without permission because even if she were bold enough, she wouldn’t dare.
Elsie anxiously continued waiting outside. Her fingers gripping the lunch box grew increasingly tense, to the point where her fingertips turned white.
She longed to hear their conversation inside, but the soundproofing was impeccable. She pressed herself against the door, straining to catch any snippets of their discussion, but to no avail.
Finally, Elsie’s impatience got the better of her, and the door was finally opened.
Elsie’s face lit up with joy, ready to step inside. A radiant smile adorned her face.
She wanted to present herself to Patrick looking absolutely perfect.
She was stunningly beautiful. No man could resist her smiling countenance. She believed Patrick was no exception.
However, reality didn’t align with Elsie’s expectations. Although the door had opened, it wasn’t Casey inviting her in, but Casey running out in tears.
Elsie collided with her, her shoulder throbbing with pain, but she didn’t bother to inquire why Casey was crying. She peered inside, only to find emptiness.
Casey halted, suddenly remembering that Elsie was still waiting outside.
However, she had no desire to see Patrick anymore.
Taking hold of Elsie’s hand, Casey guided her outside, saying, “Elsie, let’s go. We won’t care about Pat anymore.”
Patrick had actually yelled at her for the sake of another woman. Casey vowed never to be good to him again.
