Chapter 119

Book:The Alpha King's Lust Published:2024-6-1

As carefully as he could, Ace tried to make sure he didn’t cut his fingers by accident, since this was the first he was going to cook anything. Back in his pack, he didn’t have to worry about what he was going to eat because his family and parents were his pack. They all invited him to stay over and eat, so he didn’t really mind about feeding himself. He spent time with his best friend in his mansion as the alpha’s son’s best friend. He was well taken care of, all he needed to do was train hard enough to become alpha.
That is… Until they betrayed him.
The pack, his best friend, even the girl he thought he fell in love with. Seeing his friend take it all, the girl, the crown and the people infuriated him and he couldn’t control himself because of it. It was an accident that he attacked him, his ager had gotten the best of him, but he couldn’t do anything about it. It helped happened and they banished him.
Sadly enough, after talking to People about it, he felt the urge to meet his best friend once more.
Just to hear the reason why.
“You okay?” Penelope asked as she noticed how silent and vacation he looked while chopping the carrots. He blinked a couple of times before glancing up at her.
“I’m okay.” He nodded slowly as a small frown made its way to his lips. “Actually, I was just wondering what Cole is up to.”
“Who’s Cole?” She asked as she stood beside and watched him carefully trying to make the carrot slices the same size.
“The guy I was telling you about, the guy that took my alpha’s crown.” He said and she raised her brows and nodded slowly.
“Why are you thinking about him?” She asked and he shrugged his shoulders slightly as he sighed out and bot his lower lip.
“Just wanted to know if he ever really considered me a friend. Or was he always looking at me and thinking, ‘this fool is training to lose’. Seeing me work so hard, and training with me, planning out how he would be my beta because he accepted I was stronger…. Did he just see me as a really stupid person?” He asked as he glanced up at her, locking with her wide attention gaze. “I bet for fifteen years I looked like a complete idiot to him, to the girl he took from me and to everyone.”
“People like that exist, and there’s no way of stopping them from being born.” She shrugged her shoulders and furrowed her brows as she glanced at him tenderly. “He probably thought you were a idiot of course. I mean, I most definitely would think that.
