Ace had called out to the driver in order to stop for a moment, since he had to visit the rest room just for a quick.
Since they had eaten hours ago, Harley decided to just allow everyone who wanted to use the bathroom get out as fast as they all could.
Ace and Harley slithered past the trees and away from the van as they tried to find the perfect spot to go.
Ace glanced over his souldert to Harley who had his back turned as he continued his business. He frowned and cleared he throat with a small nod of his own head.
“so, Anna huh?” he started as he glanced towards him once more, only this time with a smirk, grabbing Harley’s attention almost instantly.
Harley frowned and glanced away just as he was done. He stood aside as Ace still wasn’t done.
“She seems to really like you already.” Ace continued as he glanced from him and glanced to the barn of the tree he was standing close to. “she’s pretty fun to be around and trust me, she’s not going to let go of you that easily.” He chuckled out as he finally finished his business and turned to Harley who furrowed his brows at.
“I know where you’re working at.” Harley sighed as he folded his arms against his chest as he stared strongly at him. “you want Anna and I to get as close as possible so that you and Hope and get as close as possible.” Harley continued only to glance over his shoulder and towards the direction of the car.
“well, bravo for figuring it out. Would you like a certificate for that?” Ace asked with a small forced grin as he glanced down at Harley who rolled his eyes with a deep sigh but didn’t say anything more nor less.
It wasn’t as though he agreed to Ace’s plans to get Hope’s full attention, but he knew even if he didn’t want to agree, Hope’s decision was what actually ammatered here.
Meanwhile, back at the Van, Anna had remained with Hope since they had gone first before the men had gone, just so that they were more protected the had returned to the car protected and unharmed.
Anna stared out to the darkening forest as she clenched and unclenched her fingers a bit, feeling a slight impatience since she had been asking Harley some questions but never really gotten much of an answer.
She, instead, turned to Hope who gasp at the sudden turn and sighed out shakily once she calmed herself down a little. Anna blinked at her for a moment as she watched Hope calm herself down before clearing her throat to speak out.
“do you know Harley?” Anna asked as she gripped onto the backrest of the seat with wide curious eyes. “not as in actually knowing him but… as in do you know him personally?” she asked and Hope stared at her for a moment, unsure if she should even be answering to her if Harley didn’t want to.
“Harley is my best friend.” Hope smiled slightly as she stared at her suddenly amused face. Anna’s face lit up entirely as though she had just found out something extremely important and unbelieving.
“Best friend as in a female best friend?” she asked, wondering maybe that Hope was just a female best friend and that he probably had a male best friend as well. It was just like Ace as well, he had her as a female best friend and Zack as the male best friend.
“I’m his only best friend.” Hope said with a slight frown as she glanced at him with raised brows. “we had spent out entire childhood together up until now.”
“oh, so he’s like your brother now?” Anna asked as she nodded slowly and glanced to the ground despite knowing that was just something to assure herself. She knew that they couldn’t merely be brothers and sisters, at the same time, she believed that they were just close enough to call each other a brother and sister.
“So,” Hope cleared her throat as she dodged th question and glanced at her while running a hand through her thighs. “why are you so curious about Harley?” she watched as Anna’s face lit up in excitement, knowing she just loved it whenever she had to talk about Harley.
“well,” she started as she leaned in a little closer to the back rest and stared out of the window as though staring into a dream through her eyes. “Harley… he feels completely different from any man I’ve met so far. He feels caring and soft nd that he would definitely treat me like a rare jewel once he actually falls for me. Despite only meeting him, he treated me like I had always been in his life. As though I might have just left at some point. He’s even brought me into pack and… he spoke to me as though we’ve always be talking. So I guess I got too excited and couldn’t help but tell him that I feel as though we’re soulmates.” She giggled, gtirnf Hope to widened her eyes in shock.
Soulmates?
“soulmate?” Hope asked as she stared at Anna who smiled to herself with flattered eyes as she bit onto her own lower lip.
“yeah.” She nodded with a smile as she straightened her back. “he mentioned that there was a woman that he loved, but sadly enough, she is in love with another man instead. So he can’t tell her how he feels and decided to let the woman he loves to live the life she wants. With that story, I fell even more deep in love with Harley… he cared about other’s feelings but he puts himself. aside and could rather get hurt.” She sighed out in admiration as she glanced to the roof of the car and smiled out. “since you’re his best friend, wouldn’t you know who he was talking about?” she asked as she glanced down at Hope who froze and glanced away with a slight frown.
She knew who exactly it was but she just can’t tell Anna. First of all, she didn’t know Anna and most certainly did not know how she would react. Secondly, if Harley didn’t tell her, neither can she.
