Hours collapsed within seconds as the forest they travelled in between didn’t seem to come to an end. Countless and countless trees sped by, making Hope feel a bit tired as they flashed pst by her eyes while shelaned her head on the glass, feeling run down and tired already. More importantly, she wasn’t sitting next to Harley who would try to keep her awake with useless stories that didn’t make any sense at all.
Which only remained her of the day it was her eighteen birthday nd Harley had planned to keep. herup all night long just so she could get through the entire day without sleeping. He came up with lame jokes and weird stories all night that made her laugh out and drive off the sleep. He managed to keep her up until the sun broke out when he finally reached his limit of endless talking and some heavy eyes. Despite him falling asleep on the same bed with her that day, Hope couldn’t fall asleep knowing she had been laughing the entire time and didn’t feel the least tired. So she had watched him sleep up until she suddenly fell asleep.
Days like that only forced Hope to realise how connected she was with Harley.
She shifted her lazy gaze from the trees speeding by outside to Harley who still had Anna wrapped around his arm, holding onto him so tightly as she chuckled and spoke to him in hushed whispers.
Hope wanted to have this ride sitting next to him since she had shared the first ride with Ace. That was her plan from the beginning but Anna just came out of the blue and was almost swallowing him up completely.
Anna was indeed childish.
Just like a child with a new toy.
“wow, check that out.” Harley whispered to Anna as he pointed out the window with wide mesmerized eyes.
Hope shifted her gaze out the window only to gasp at the crystal clear lake with water that actually sparkled under the rays from the sun, causing it to cause some glitter effect that she really found drawling.
“That’s beautiful….” Anna sighed out in admiration as she stared out the window with a small smile. “I’ve always imagined to just walk over to the lake side and just lay down nd enjoy the sound of waves in my ears.”
“I’d love that too.” Harley nodded slowly as he glanced out of the window, staring at the endless lake that he had badly wanted to show Hope the moment he spotted it out on the map.

It was a small lake surrounded by a forest and some rocky structures that not many humans would travel to. Plus the humans still had a fear of werewolves so not may wished to enjoy paradise knowing you would become a meal to a pack of savages.
Having hardly anyone around, it was the perfect place for him to. take Hope. This was the original place he had wanted to take Hope to to confess his feeling for he after setting off the right mood, that way, she would want to say yes to his offer to be his.
But the fear of rejection surpassed his urge to confess to her and the shear thought of losing her was reason enough not to reveal his true emotions.
He watched as the lake began to disappear out of site, though knowing too well that Hope was also staring at the beautiful small lake.
“So, Harley,” Anna began as she cleared up her throat and let go of his arm before lacing her fingers together. “do you currently like someone?” she asked, getting Harley to feel even more uncomfortable as he knew Hope was now listening. Though, Anna didn’t seem bothered to even be asking about it.
Ace chuckled under his breathe as he leaned into his seat and stared at the side of Anna’s face as she stared towards Harley.
As far as Ace knows Anna, she wasntt one to easily let go of something she she’s found valuable. That was the scary thing about Anna that Ace knew. She never delayed her time with anything or anyone. She always went straight to what she wanted. If she needed to say it, then she would. She had nothing to hide if hiding it would only mean she wouldn’t get what she wanted
“well…” Harley cleared his throat as he glanced out the van for a moment before glancing back at her. “not to lie to you, but I do.”
“is it the same woman you mentioned who is in love with another man?” she asked with innocent eyes as she didn’t realise she said it at the wrong place and time.
Ace and Hope instantly perked their ears in curiosity as the moment Anna spoke up.
Harley furrowed his brows at Anna and looked away instead, folding his arms to his chest as he felt too embarrassed to even answer right away.
“you could day something like that.” He nodded, only to get her off his back since he didn’t want her talking more. Despite being too clingy, Harley didn’t really find Anna completely annoying so far, on fact, she was just as annoying as someone he knees a little too well…
Anna nodded slowly as she noticed he was a little uncomfortable and couldn’t help but glance elsewhere, only to stare into Hope eyes, causing Hope to jerk back a little in shock.
She started at Hope for a moment as Hope stared back without really trying to give it off that she was the woman Harley was talking about. Other than giving her a face of recognition, Anna simply smiled at Hope and glanced away, turning aheaded fully to the front.
Harley clenched onto his jeans as h now discovered that his plans of pretending not to remember a thing had suddenly back fired on him so early into the game.
At this point Ace glanced towards Hope who’s eyes were not directed to the back of Harley’s head, knowing exactly what was going on through her mind.
