“I didn’t get your name…” Harley said as he turned to the cooking cite.
“Oh, Anna.” She smiled cheerfully as she glanced up at him in admiration.
“Oh… nice name.” He nodded slowly as they finally walked into the cooking cite just as they were handing out bowls of the countless food options piled into one single bowl.
Anna’s eyes grew wide as she stared at the bowls that approached her with hungry eyes, though she didn’t want to over do her ladyness and spoil her chances with Harley who she really liked despite just knowing him.
“luckily, there was just enough to spare.” Fox sighed out in boredom as he handed the bowl to Anna who frowned at him.
She knew he clearly didn’t liked her, even for a second. Mostly because she was just an outsider. She knew being accepted into a pack was a process on it’s own but she decided to escape the brutal treatment one way or the other. Lucky enough, she found the pack that took Ace in. And if he managed to get accepted into a pack that a wonderful man like Harley ruled, she wouldn’t see why not to take the risk.
“come on, take it already!” Fox hissed under his breath as he glared at Anna who frowned deeply and furrowed her brows at him.
“Talk about being grumpy.” Harley chuckled as he took the bowls from Fox’s hands and held them in his instead. “thanks for the food.”
“sure.” He sighed out before glancing back at Anna. “we need to eat fast and leave of we want to get there in time.”
“sure.” Harley nodded as he watched Fox walk away from them, clearly annoyed by Anna for an odd reason.
Anna sighed out softly and glanced up at Harley so innocently as she pouted her lips and stared at him with begging eyes.
“I feel like he already doesn’t like me.” She whispered, getting his attention as he glanced down to her.
“Fox has always been aggressive towards rogues.” Harley explained as he nodded his head to a tree where they could sit down and have their lunch. “he had some bad distort with a rogue so you just need to understand him.” He explained as he let her sit first before handing her the bowl. She offered to hold his bowl for him and he handed it to her so he could sit down.
“But… I’m not the roguehe had a fight with.” She chuckled uncomfortably as she handed him back his bowl once he sat down.
“People hold grudges, even if it doesn’t involve you, of you are similar with it, you’ll end up being hurt because someone else caused it.” He explained as he poked his knife into the grilled steak.
She nodded slowly and cleared her throat. and jabbed at a piece of carrot and shoved it into her mouth. She sunk her teeth into the flesh juicy carrot and sighed out at the great spiciness and softness of the carrot. She then took a bite of the steak, then the simmering pork and fried chicken. All with great juiciness, strong taste and sharp spice feeling. Sending shivers down her spine as she glanced up to the sky and moaned out in pleasure.
Harley glanced down at her and chuckled out as she noticed her head sway a bit from side to side, clearly enjoying the meal.
“Is it that tastey?” Harley asked with a small smile tagging his lip as she nodded in agreement.
“it is just very delicious.” She chuckled out as she glanced up at him. “you eat like this all the time?”
“yeah.” He nodded. “in the mansion, the chefs are usually the best in the pack and they cook for the alpha and beta families.”
“Wow….” She raised her brows in shock as she stared at him. “then I guess I’m lucky because you don’t have a mate yet.” She smiled and nagged his arm, getting him to chuckle a bit as he nodded in agreement but didn’t say a word as he began to eat his food.
Hope and Ace had sat across from them, also under a tree and munching on their meals and yet Hope’s eyes kept wondering off to Harley and Anna seeming very close despite just meeting.
“they seem pretty close.” Hope pointed out as she placed a piece of steam into her mouth, getting Ace to glance up at her from his bowl. He then shifted his eyes towards Harley and Anna who were sitting rather close.
“Well that only means Anna already liked him.” Ace chuckled out as he swallowed the food in his mouth. “Anna is realy weird, she’s a very careless person when it comes to. falling in love because she believes in love at first sight. Sheet very childish of you ask me, but there is no doubt she’s thinking of Harley as her new love.”
“that’s ridiculous, they just met… how could she think-,”
“Like I said, Anna is careless. She falls in love faster than you can breathe oxygen.” He teased as he chuckled out and glanced towards Anna who was talking to Harley who seemed to be concentrated on his food. “There is no doubt about it. She’s already grown fond of him. I mean, he was taking care of her, he’s even given her his clothes to wear, stitched her shoulders and even fed her the food she was about to steal. So why wouldn’t she be able to fall for him so quickly?”
“has she ever fallen for you?” Hope asked as she continuously storredt the contents of her bowl around, feeling nervous in her stomach.
“The first time, yes. But the longer we were together even on the first day, she lost interest so fast.” He laughed out as he leaned back to the tree. “then we became close friends.”
“oh.” Hope nodded her head slightly then glanced up towards Harley and Anna. “well I mean… Harley has never had a girl around him before so… I guess she’s good enough for him.” Hope shrugged her shoulders, only to sigh out heavily, getting Ace to frown a little as he stared at her.
