Richard was silent for a moment. “I don’t have a say in this matter because it all depends on Abbie! Not only that, but I have to consider my parents as well. Meadow has humiliated and insulted my mom to her breaking point, and I think my mom will definitely be the first to oppose it.”
“What if Meadow apologises to her? Will she feel better that way?”
“Do you think Meadow will come here herself? Someone as shameless as her will never change.” Richard sneered.
“I think we can solve this matter. Your parents are still unaware that Michael is the father of Abbie’s child, and I’m sure they won’t oppose their relationship if they know the truth.”
“It’s hard to say.” Richard shook his head.
“All right, we’ll just let nature take its course, but I hope you won’t stop them. Just forgive Michael and give him a chance to get close to Abbie again.”
“What benefits did you get from Michael?” Richard snorted. “William, if I hadn’t known what kind of person you were, I would have thought that Michael bribed you. By the way, you didn’t tell Michael about Emma, right?”
William shook his head and said, “No, I didn’t even tell you, so why would I tell Michael? I want him to figure it out by himself.”
“He’s nothing but an idiot. Isn’t he a famous lawyer? How could he be so stupid?”
“Maybe he can’t see the big picture because he’s directly involved in this mess. Anyway, I’m begging you to give Michael a chance. If Abbie really doesn’t care about Michael, Then we’ll just drop it. But if she still has feelings for him, let’s just let their relationship grow.”
Richard nodded. “Okay, I’ll do it for your sake.”
After they finished speaking, Marcus pushed the door open and came in with a smile. “Something happened to the Gurney family!”
“What’s going on?” Richard asked curiously.
“Francis’ daughter-in-law transferred all of the remaining funds to her account and took Casper abroad. She abandoned Francis and his son to solve this mess.”
“Hah! I didn’t expect her to be so cruel.” Richard clicked his tongue and said, “I thought that the Gurney family would find a way to make a comeback, but it seems that won’t be possible if they’re out of funds.”
“I heard that Francis vomited blood when he found out and he was sent to the hospital. He was so angry that he was in the emergency room for two hours, but he’s still in a coma.”
William frowned silently while Richard was at a loss. “How could the Gurney family end up like this? Why are they still betraying each other at this time?”
“At the end of the day, Francis is the one at fault for being so vicious. He was plotted against because he schemed against Michael, which made Casper end up being infertile. Francis even wanted his son to have more children, but his daughter-in-law can’t get pregnant anymore. After that, he asked his son to find a mistress. Things ended up like this because his daughter-in-law and Casper overheard the entire conversation.”
“That’s why we should be kind!” Richard sighed and said, “Although we need to think for ourselves, we shouldn’t be as selfish as Francis. He ended up like this all because of his own actions!”
Leonard had been anxiously waiting for his assistant’s reply after he sent the list of gifts to the Clark family.
The assistant quickly reported, “Helen is at home. She was not very happy and went out to make a phone call, but she accepted the gift list silently after that.”
Leonard was surprised. “She didn’t say anything harsh to you?”
“No.”
“That’s strange. Where’s Abbie?”
“She went out with her daughter. Mr. Floyd, the Clark family’s attitude is much better than before. Do you think they’re going to accept you?”
“It’s hard to say. Of course, I want them to accept me, but who knows what will happen? After all, Richard hasn’t had a discussion with me yet and he’s very close to the Floyd family now. If he ends up marrying Braelynn, my marriage with Abbie won’t change anything.”

His fighting spirit has diminished significantly after having to deal with successive setbacks. He wasn’t only facing William and the Floyd family, but all of the families connected to them as well.
It was almost impossible for him to break their ties since they were connected by a joint marriage.
Leonard wasn’t by any means a foolish man, so he sighed slightly and said, “If I really end up marrying Abbie, I’ll probably have to accept my fate and live in peace with the Floyd family in the future!”
The assistant looked at Leonard in horror. He couldn’t believe that Leonard would ever say something like this.
Monthel brought Azalea into a luxurious MPV while a servant in his villa was the designated driver. There was also a servant and two bodyguards in the car as all of them went straight to Monthel’s hometown together.
Monthel was very considerate to Azalea and he kept asking whether she wanted to drink or eat anything.
Although he looked extremely ugly, he was very rich.
Azalea kept thinking about the money that Monthel had mentioned on the way and she completely ignored his ugly features.
Since they chatted and laughed along the way, the ten-hour journey didn’t feel exhausting to her at all.
If it hadn’t been for Azalea’s son’s illness, she would have enjoyed going back to Monthel’s hometown with him. After all, the scenery was beautiful and Monthel took good care of her. The most important thing was that she could get a huge sum of money that most people couldn’t even dream of.
Azalea couldn’t help but fall asleep in the car as she looked at the beautiful scenery along the way.
She dreamed of getting the 20 million dollars after Monthel’s grandfather died. Not only that, but she dreamed that Monthel’s parents also gave her a large sum of money because their son managed to marry such a beautiful wife.
She would become a rich woman after getting the money, and she could finally file for divorce since she would never like someone disgusting like Monthel anyway.
Monthel would beg her to stay with tears in his eyes, but she had made up her mind.

Just then, she heard her child crying and there was a bright light shining into her eyes. Azalea muttered and found herself faced with a flashlight when she opened her eyes.
Azalea reached out and pushed the flashlight away. “What are you doing? What’s this?”
She muttered to herself as she looked out of the car window and found that it was already completely dark outside. Azalea could see the dim yellow light from the low-rise terrace house through the car window.
Azalea had seen something like this when the film crew wanted to set up a scene in poor villages.
Why would she be in a place like this? What the hell was going on?!
