Azalea held her child in her arms and checked out a few houses. Her requirements were extremely high, but her budget was extremely low so she couldn’t find a single unit that she was satisfied with.
After that, her child suddenly had another attack that made him go into a seizure and he even spat out white foam. Azalea was so embarrassed by this that she sent the child to the hospital.
This child was like a jinx to her and he slowly recovered after he reached the hospital.
The doctor still did a routine check and said that this situation would only repeat itself in the future. As long as they were careful, his life wouldn’t be in danger.
Azalea had no choice but to leave with her child. As she walked, she cursed her son in a low voice. “D*mn it, are you here just to torture me? What crime did I commit to give birth to someone like you?”
Azalea became even more worried when she thought of the child in her belly and she decided that she had to get rid of it once she settled down.
Azalea carried her child to the parking lot as she thought of this. Just as she was about to get into the car, a Vellfire slowly passed by and stopped not far from her.
After the bodyguard got out of the car and opened the door, Abbie got down with Emma, who was dressed up in a cute outfit.
Abbie was worried because Emma was coughing slightly, so she brought her to the doctor for a check-up. However, she didn’t expect to see Azalea in the parking lot and her lips quirked up slightly when their gazes met. Although Abbie didn’t say a single word, Azalea couldn’t bear to look at the mocking expression on her face.
Abbie was dressed in a luxurious outfit and she exuded an air of elegance. In contrast, Azalea’s complexion was sallow and her entire body was dirty. She looked like a beggar as she carried her child with her.
Azalea wanted nothing more than to hide when she saw such a stark contrast.
Unfortunately, she had nowhere to run.
Azalea’s heart was filled with hatred. Why was Abbie always better than her? Abbie had never been beneath her even from the start and she had always been beyond her reach. Abbie didn’t need to spend even the slightest bit of effort to obtain whatever she wanted. Meanwhile, Azalea had to frantically chase after her goals, but she would never get Abbie’s privileges no matter what she did.
Azalea glared viciously at Abbie and roared, “Are you very pleased with yourself right now? Abbie, are you happy to see me like this?”
However, Abbie just gave Azalea a contemptuous look before she walked toward the hospital with Emma in her arms. Her bodyguards and nanny immediately followed behind her as well.
Azalea and continued to scold her in a louder voice, “Don’t think that you’re much better than me. Aren’t you the daughter of the Clark family who’s supposed to be noble and elegant? But you ended up taking care of another man’s child after all! Haha, you’re not even worth mentioning.”
Abbie just turned a deaf ear to her and continued to walk forward. She didn’t say a single word, which made Azalea even more humiliated than before and her eyes had a vicious light.
She immediately rushed towards Abbie with her child. Abbie’s bodyguards were about to make a move when they saw Azalea charging forward, but Abbie said without looking back. “Don’t touch her!”
The bodyguard retracted his hand. Then, Abbie handed Emma over to the nanny and turned to look at Azalea. “Are you trying to blackmail us? You planned to use this opportunity to get rid of the child in your belly and frame us, right?”
Azalea looked at the mocking smile on Abbie’s face and her movements went rigid. This was indeed what she was thinking, but how did Abbie know that?
Abbie’s eyes narrowed as she looked at Azalea. “Look at how pathetic you are right now! Azalea, this is just the beginning, so you should take it easy! You’ll have to pay back for what you’ve done!”
She turned around and left right after that while Azalea could only stare blankly at her with the child in her arms.
Meanwhile, in the Howard family, Valeria was leaning on the sink while she vomited. William was standing next to her with a glass of water in his hand. He gently patted her on the back and his eyes were full of heartache.
Tears welled up in Valeria’s eyes as she vomited. After that, William gave her some water to clean her mouth before he carried her out of the bathroom.
She said while they walked out, “My morning sickness wasn’t this bad when I was pregnant with Cade and Santhos. Why is it so serious this time?”
“It’s been hard on you, dear!” William didn’t know that Valeria would have such a serious reaction, “Why don’t I take you to the hospital for a check-up?”
“It’s alright, I just want to lie down.” Valeria said softly.
“Okay, rest well. I’ll ask the doctor to come and see you.” William said as he carried Valeria and placed her on the bed.
Meanwhile, Cade and Santhos stood at the door while they watched William stroke Valeria’s head. Then, both of them walked over quietly and stood by the bed.
When William touched Valeria’s face, Cade also stretched out his little hand to touch her. “Mom, you’ve worked hard!”
Santhos repeated after him as well.
Valeria was very uncomfortable at first, but she instantly felt much better when she saw her two sons. She reached out and patted Cade and Santhos on their heads. “Both of you are good boys!”
After Cade came over and kissed Valeria, he became unhappy when Santhos followed suit as well. “You’re so annoying! Don’t copy me!”
However, Santhos ignored him Cade and took Valeria’s hand. “Mom, let’s go out to play!”
William picked up Santhos and said, “Mom is not in the mood now and she needs to rest. Can you go out and play with grandpa?”
“No, I want mom to play with me!” Santhos shook his head.
William had no choice but to pick himn up. “I’ll play with you, okay?”
“No, I want mom!”
William emphasized, “She’s not feeling well and she need to rest, so she can’t play with you. Choose someone else to play with.”
Santhos thought for a moment and said, “I want to play with my wife!”
After Cade heard what this, he followed suit as well, “Let’s look for my wife!”
Both of them didn’t want Valeria anymore and they kept badgering William to take them to Emma.
William looked at them with a frown expressionlessly, which made Cade and Santhos afraid. In the end, they took a few steps back and said, “We’ll play with Auntie instead!”
“That’s good!” A smile reappeared on William’s face.
Then, Cade took Santhos’ hand and left when he saw William’s smile.
Valeria sighed and said, “Can you not be so fierce? They’re afraid of you and my heart aches whenever I see them like this.”
“Their grandparents keep spoiling them and you’re not fierce to them as well. If I don’t do this, they won’t know any rules. I even saw them fighting over who gets to be piggybacked by my father last night! If I’m lenient with them, they won’t grow up to be good people.”
Valeria burst into laughter when she heard this. “My father and my grandfather are the ones to be blamed for this. Our sons would always ride on their backs in my house and they’ll even have a competition. If this goes on, they will be spoiled.”
“That’s why I have to be fierce to them, or I won’t be able to control them!” William said as he tucked Valeria in. “I asked the helpers to cook bird’s nest for you and I’ll bring it up for you later. Oh right, I have to call the doctor and ask him to come to our house.”
After he called the private doctor, he received Michael’s call. “One of my men saw Leonard’s assistant with Anastasia just now!”
