Leonard looked high-spirited and he had a bright smile on his face when he left the Clark family.
The assistant saw the smile on Leonard’s face from the rearview mirror and knew that he was in a good mood. “Mr. Floyd, is everything done?”
“Almost!” Leonard replied with a smile.
“Isn’t the Clark family against it?” The assistant was very curious.
“How can they possibly agree? Donald and Helen don’t agree to it, but Abbie has been persistent for the sake of her child. What surprised me is Richard’s decision. I always thought that he would oppose me the most, but I didn’t expect him to help us.”
The assistant was even more surprised. “What? Richard doesn’t object to your relationship with Miss Clark? Does this mean that he wants to join forces with you?”
“A man with ideals and ambitions will never yield to others. Although Richard is powerful, he has always been in William’s shadow. If I wherein his shoes, I would feel very frustrated as well!”
The assistant also felt that Richard had agreed to Leonard and Abbie’s relationship because he wanted to join forces with Leonard. “As long as Richard has the same goal as you, things will be different in the future.”
Leonard nodded. “Now, I want you to arrange your men to do something.” Do what?”
“Let everyone know that Abbie and I are going to get married.”
“This… you just told the Clark family about this. Wouldn’t it be bad if they found out about it?” The assistant felt that it was inappropriate.
“What’s so bad about that? My marriage with Abbie is confirmed, and I just want to make a stand and let everyone know that I am going to marry her. This way, Abbie can only marry me!”
The assistant no longer objected when he saw that Leonard had made up his mind. “I will arrange for someone to do this, but what are you going to do about the child?”
“The child is mine now, so of course, I have to take good care of her. I will hand over the child to Abbie when I marry her.”
Meanwhile, in the Davis family, Azalea was lying on the bed with a swollen face. After she was thrown out by Leonard’s men yesterday, they did not make things any more difficult for her. Instead, they sent Azalea to the hospital for treatment.
Azalea’s face and body were all burned and she was wrapped in gauze when she returned to the Davis family. She felt that it was too embarrassing, so she quietly returned to her room and asked the servants to send dinner to her room.
Azalea’s face was itchy after she rested for a whole night, so she decided to go to the hospital to change her dressing in the afternoon. She also planned to not alert anyone when she went to the hospital, but she bumped into Meadow in the hospital parking lot.
Meadow jumped in fright when she saw Azalea. “What happened? How did you end up like this?”
Azalea’s face was itching uncomfortably, and she replied viciously when she saw Meadow’s gloating eye, “Do you think I wanted to end up like this? It’s all because of that d*mned Abbie!”
“Did Abbie do something to you? When did you see her?”
“Yesterday!”
“Have you lost your mind? How can you be stupid enough to go to see Abbie? Don’t you know that she despises you the most now? Are you willingly getting punished by her?”
Meadow’s words made Azalea extremely angry. She had been thinking about it for the entire night, and she felt that she was being foolish. How could she have been deceived into meeting Abbie so easily after Leonard talked to her?
She even believed that Leonard would protect her, but he didn’t do anything and he even asked his men to beat her in the end.
The Davis family would never help her. if Abbie attacked her. Francis would not help her as well if he knew that she provoked Abbie, so she was just asking for trouble this time.
Just as Azalea thought of killing Leonard, Meadow sighed and said, “Do you know that Abbie is going to get married?”
“What? With who!?” Azalea thought she had misheard Meadow.
“Who else can she marry? Leonard saved her, so of course, she’s going to marry him!”
“Is this true?”
“I heard that Leonard told the Clark family that he wanted to marry Abbie today and they’ve agreed to the engagement ceremony. It will be held soon.”
Azalea felt much better after hearing Meadow’s words. It was impossible for Abbie to have anything to do with Michael if she married Leonard, so Michael could only belong to her in the end.
“Leonard and Abbie are a perfect match.”
“Hm? I don’t think so.” Meadow scoffed. “I heard that Leonard has an illegitimate daughter, so what do you think Abbie is trying to do by marrying a man who has a child?”
“Leonard has a child? This…” Azalea was also very surprised. “Why would the Clark family agree to let Abbie marry a man like that?”
“Abbie is determined to marry Leonard, so her parents can’t do anything about it. I heard that Abbie is very indifferent to her family after she lost her memory. She only trusts Leonard. In my opinion, Leonard is not a good person and Abbie will surely suffer in the future.”
Meadow smiled gloatingly and got into the car while Azalea stood where she was and thought for a moment. Leonard did not seem to be someone easy to get along with. Abbie would definitely not live a happy life if she married Leonard, not to mention that Leonard already had a child. Abbie was obviously in a worse position than her now.
Azalea was very happy as long as Abbie did not have a good life, so she entered the hospital to change her dressing in a good mood.
Michael almost lost his mind when he heard that Abbie was going to marry Leonard. He didn’t believe that the news was true, so he had to ask William personally.
Michael immediately drove to the Wolf Group. Then, he pushed open the door of the president’s office and asked, “William, Is the news between Abbie and Leonard true?”
“Yes!”
“How could this be? How could she marry someone like Leonard? Didn’t you say that you would help me get back together with Abbie if I helped you? How could I be with her now that she’s going to marry Leonard?”
“Calm down!”
“I can’t! Do you know that I’m losing my mind right now!?”
William frowned. “Isn’t she still single? It’s just that both she and Leonard have the same intention. As long as Abbie doesn’t marry Leonard, then that would mean that their relationship isn’t step in stone.”
“I can’t be as calm as you. William, please give me a definite answer.”
“It’s impossible for Abbie to marry Leonard. Are you satisfied?”
“But the Clark family has agreed. How do you know that she won’t marry him?”
“I don’t have a legitimate reason Just believe me when I say that it’s impossible!”
“You must come up with a valid reason to convince me…”
William was impatient. “Michael, don’t be so pathetic in front of me. When have I ever broken my promise to you? You just have to fulfil your promise to me. You’ll know the consequences if you can’t take down the Gurney family this time! If you turn against me, I won’t care about our friendship at all and I can be more ruthless than you can ever imagine!”
