The assistant jumped in fright after hearing Leonard’s words. “Are you going to give her… a medicine for her to lose her memory?”
“What else is there? I did not make such a fuss to save her merely out of kindness. I just thought that if I did save her, she’ll obey me and help me persuade Richard. I would be her savior, and by the time comes for me to be against William, Richard would not interfere because I saved his sister’s life. That way, my chances of winning would be much higher, wouldn’t it?”
Only then did the assistant know why Leonard had saved Abbie. Leonard was indeed full of schemes! The assistant reminded Leonard, “But this drug is very harmful to the body. Miss Clark hasn’t recovered yet. What if something happens to her after she takes it?”
“I’ve already considered this. I have a way to let her take the drug and ensure that she won’t get hurt at the same time.”
The assistant was surprised when he heard this. “Is there such a drug?”

The manor’s morning air was fresh, and meanwhile, Abbie was walking slowly along its path.
As she walked, she was lost in thought. After Leonard left, she had tried to go out, but the servants and bodyguards kept a strict watch on her. She could only walk freely inside the manor, and whenever she went out, she would be accompanied closely by several men.
Even inside the manor, there were cameras everywhere except for the bedroom. Even so, Abbie had suspected that Leonard had installed cameras in her bedroom too.
Living without any privacy like this was too horrifying. Abbie had suspected Leonard’s motives before, and now she was even more suspicious of him.
He saved her not because he was kind, but because he had a purpose.
She looked around, and when she did not find anyone following her, she took out her mobile phone and leaned against a tree while pulling up a website.
The first thing she saw was that Azalea and Michael were about to get married, which was all over the news.
Abbie continued to read them one by one and learned that the two were about to hold their wedding in the Maldives. She saw a custom-made diamond ring and wedding dress, as well as a sea view bridal chamber prepared by Michael.
She didn’t love Michael and didn’t hate him either. She was just confused. Michael seemed in love with Azalea judging from him making a huge scene.

Since they loved each other so much, then her intervention would not pose any threat to Michael and Azalea. If so, what reason did Azalea have to harm her? Could it be that the news about Azalea having harmed her was actually Leonard’s doing?
This man was powerful enough, so it was possible for him to deceive the truth and fool her.
As Abbie thought about this, she heard footsteps behind her. She put her phone away and turned her head, only to see a servant who took care of her coming from behind with a cup in her hand.
When the servant saw Abbie, she flashed a kind and warm smile. “Miss Clark, you forgot to take your medicine this morning.”
Abbie frowned. “I feel much better now. You can stop feeding me medicine.”
“Mr. Floyd has given orders, You are in poor health, so you must not forget to take this medicine. Your body will recover quickly if you do. Please take the medicine, Miss Clark.” The servant handed the cup and pills to Abbie as she said this.
Abbie took a deep breath, accepted the pill, and swallowed it in front of the servant.
Seeing that she had taken the medicine, the servant heaved a sigh of relief. “Miss Clark, you’ve been out for an hour. You’d better go back and have a rest.”
Abbie turned her down. “I’m not tired. I want to walk around!”

Abbie was in so much pain that she was sweating, while the servant was supporting her as she walked back. The servant held Abbie with one hand and held her mobile phone with the other. “Miss Clark has a headache. Call a doctor to check up on her immediately.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard Abbie, who she was supporting, scream, “It hurts so much!”
The servant jumped in fright at this. When she looked at Abbie’s face, she saw that Abbie was sweating profusely and had already fainted.
