In the Clark family, Anna yawned and went downstairs. She saw Helen wipe her tears as she sat on the sofa in the living room.
She was shocked, so she walked to Helen quickly. “Helen, what’s the matter? Don’t cry. Tell me what happened, okay? Who pissed you off? Did Richard do something that angered you?”
As Anna spoke, she grabbed some tissues to wipe Helen’s tears. Then the latter grabbed her hand and broke into violent sobs. “Anna, I miss Abbie! I miss her dearly!”
Helen was missing Abbie. Anna had no idea as to how to comfort her. After all, Abbie was the unspeakable pain in Helen’s heart.
Anna could only hug Helen as she patted her gently on the shoulder. The latter cried while saying, “I dreamed of Abbie. She was calling out to me from a desolate place. She asked me to save her. I tried my best to grab her, but I couldn’t get a hold of her. Oh, my poor Abbie. She must feel very miserable.”
“Helen, the dream is usually the opposite of reality. Abbie is such a kind-hearted person. She will definitely live a good life.”
“No! She must be having a rough day! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have dreamed of her. She is telling me to help her through this dream,” Helen said while sobbing.
Anna’s eyes went teary as well. “Helen, let’s go to the cemetery to see her. We’ll send her some money, no, a lot of money so that she can live a good life there.”
Helen agreed upon hearing her words. She wiped her tears away. “You’re right. Abbie is in need of money. I have to send her some. Anna, let’s go right away.”
Anna and Helen bought a lot of gold ingots and spiritual money before they hurried to Abbie’s graveyard.
There were many flowers in front of Abbie’s tombstone, all of which were her favorite flowers. After walking around the tombstone, Helen was curious when she saw the flowers. “Who sent these flowers?”
“Perhaps it’s a gift from Abbie’s friend, who paid her a visit here?” Anna cleaned up the area and knelt on the ground to burn the gold ingots and spiritual money. Helen squatted beside her and followed suit. She was muttering, “Well, I’ve sent you money, Abbie. You can buy whatever you like now. If you are not happy and lack money, just come to me in my dream…”
She began to cry again as she spoke. “You used to love the lively atmosphere so much. It must be very lonely for you to be all alone over there, right? I really want to go and keep you company!”
Michael was walking to the cemetery with a bouquet of flowers when he heard the crying.
When he saw Helen and Anna burn the spiritual money, he stopped dead in track with a complicated expression on her face.
Helen’s mournful voice was saddening and heart-wrenching. At the thought of Abbie’s cheerful face, Michael’s eyes turned moist as well.
Wayne deserved a fate worse than death. Meadow deserved to die. Azalea deserved to suffer a terrible death! And so did Michael!
All of them deserved to die, but they were all living their lives well.
Michael was filled with enormous amount hatred!
This was especially true when he heard Helen say that Abbie liked liveliness and how she had to feel lonely in heaven. It felt as if his heart was stabbed by a sharp knife, and it bled a lot in excruciating pain.
When Anna saw Helen cry sadly, she reached out to wipe the latter’s tears. “Helen, I’m sure Abbie doesn’t want to see you so sad either. She will hope that you’re happy!”
“My heart is in pieces after Abbie is gone. How can I be happy?” Helen cried sadly.
Anna didn’t know how to comfort her. She reached out to wipe the dust off Abbie’s photo on the tombstone. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a man holding a bouquet of flowers not far away.
She turned to have a better look at him before she sprang to her feet abruptly. “Hey, Michael, what the hell are you doing here?”
Helen, whose eyes were already filled with tears, turned around and saw Michael when she heard his name. She wiped her tears away violently and stood up as well. “What are you doing here?! Who sent you?”
The flowers in his hands were exactly the same as the flowers beside Abbie’s tombstone. Needless to say, it was him who sent these flowers here.
Helen lost her temper. “Scram! Take your stupid flowers and get lost! Are you crying crocodile tears now? No wonder Abbie asked for help in my dream. It turns out that you, a shameless scum, have been disturbing her peace. Abbie must have been miserable enough that she came to me in my dream!”
While Helen was scolding Michael, Anna already charged over. She punched and kicked Michael angrily. “You jerk! Damn you, prick! Who allows you to come here? Why the fuck did you come? Are you trying to gross her out? Fuck off! Get the fuck out of here!”
Michael did not dare to lift a finger against Anna even though she was hitting him. He did not dare to linger at the cemetery for long since Helen and Anna were biting his head off. He left in disgrace after being scolded and cursed by them.
Helen and Anna angrily threw away all the flowers Michael had brought after they saw that he was gone.
“I didn’t expect this jerk to visit and gross Abbie out every day. Abbie must have had enough, right? I can’t let him visit her tombstone again. We are going to go to the management so that we can ban him from coming here again.”
Helen nodded in agreement. “Let’s go to them immediately. From now on, ask them to forbid Michael from setting a foot in here.”
The Clark family had paid the management handsomely for managing the cemetery. The staff of the cemetery attached great importance to their request after hearing Helen’s words. They promised to strengthen the security so that Michael would not be allowed to enter again.
Only then did Helen and Anna leave the cemetery in satisfaction. On the way back, a Rolls-Royce Extended came from their left. Anna glanced at the car and saw Valeria in it, to her surprise. She grew excited. “Valeria! Look, it’s Valeria!”
Helen followed Anna’s gaze and looked over. “It’s certainly Valeria.”
“Let’s invite her to dinner. I haven’t seen her for a long time.”
“She is probably busy. You’d better not disturb her.” Once Helen finished her words, Anna had already called Valeria eagerly.
“Valeria, I’m right behind you.”
Valeria looked backwards and saw the Clark family’s car. She exclaimed in surprise. “Are you alone?”
“I’m here with Helen. We were visiting Abbie’s tomb. Valeria, why don’t we have lunch together? It’s my treat.”
Valeria refused flatly. “Next time, perhaps! I’ll treat you to a meal next time!”
“Do you have something else coming up today?” asked Anna.
“It’s nothing. I have an appointment with someone.”
“Are you meeting up with them at the Howard family’s mansion?”
“That’s right.”
“Valeria, can I go with you to the Howard family to have a look?” Anna went straight to the point. She did not bother to hide her intention. On the other hand, Helen frowned when she heard Anna’s request to go with Valeria. She asked, “Valeria is going home to see her family. Why are you going with her?”
“I want to see what the Howard family looks like. Andrew and I had a blind date last time, and I like him very much. I have to get to know his family, right?” Anna replied righteously.
Helen was so furious that she pinched Anna on the arm. The latter cried out in pain, “Helen, why are you pinching me? Did I say something wrong?”
Valeria couldn’t help but laugh when she heard the conversation between Anna and Helen over the phone. Then she ordered the driver, “Stop the car once you find a suitable spot!”
